I've been getting my hair cut and balayaged at Ouidad ("the curly hair salon") in NYC for 7 years, and I needed a major refresher after being in jax for three months. I found Nancy through Ouidad's website - she is Ouidad and Devacurl certified. Nancy had a thoughtful consult with me and I showed her a picture of my haircut pre-quar, and then she totally replicated the exact Ouidad haircut and subtle natural balayage color that we discussed! She took her time and explained everything, including the differences in brands of color, etc. She is clearly very educated in the hair world. The result is beautiful! Absolutely wonderful! I am a stylist myself but never disclosed this information. Tatiana was fabulous, we talked about my hair she listened and she worked her magic! My hair has never felt and looked better after a haircut. I have also never gotten as many compliments after a haircut as I have after this one. Her shampoo was absolutely mind numbing, I was ready for a nap it was wonderful! The care in every detail she took with me her customer service is on point. We moved to Nocatee from Oregon and I finally found this gem of a salon. Nancy does an excellent job cutting curly hair and showing you how to style it. I love that she is a perfectionist. I came in for an eyebrow wax with Tatiana, who did a wonderful job, and Nancy asked if I wanted to move up my next appointment because she just didn't like the way the front was falling (my curl pattern changes all over my head and is a huge challenge to cut). It is a very professional salon with excellent products but at the same time everyone treats you just like you are a treasured member of their family. It is a relaxing place to be. read more

I moved to the area a year ago, but due to covid I was unsuccessful in finding a hood stylist that understood my needs. I have a lot of hair and it requires a lot of time to color and cut. On average a visit to the salon is anywhere from 5-6 hours. I made an appointment with Tatyana and when she realized I had the time for her to do her magic we dove in. It was amazing. Five hours later my hair looked terrific. She does what's best for your hair and is very realistic and honest with you on what will work and not work. My hairstylist is Nancy Nguyen and she is wonderful! Nancy is very good at doing my color and highlights. She was the first person to give me highlights and they look amazing. Received many many compliments on my hair. Nancy is very meticulous and knowledgeable about my type of hair and the products needed to keep it in good shape. Great hair. I am so pleased to have discovered Hairspray & Hairspray. My daughter went and was so happy she sent me a picture. Her hair was so beautiful. That was 2 years ago. I went and met Nancy. A friend recommended Ombré--and specifically Tatiana--when I was looking for a new place to get my hair cut. I was just needing a trim, you know...get rid of the dry, dead ends and such. But Tatiana went above and beyond. She was meticulous with incredible attention to detail as well as super sweet. Oh, and she does a nice head massage while washing your hair...I thought I might fall asleep! She also did a blow out after the cut and my hair looked fabulous. I was meeting a friend at the Avenues and had some time to kill so I looked up some hair salons nearby. Stumbled across this little place and I'm SO glad I did. Genesis, was a dream. HIGHLY recommend her. She was very blunt about the condition of my hair, which I think is very helpful, she cut my hair exactly the way I envisioned but couldn't explain, and she told me how to take care of my hair in the future. I love coming to this salon! Not only are Nancy and all her staff always friendly and welcoming, but Tatiana is a genius with scissors! She really focuses on listening and understands that everyone's hair grows differently. Her years of experience mean she knows just how to cut your hair so that it is easily managed and styled. This was my first time at this Beautiful salon. Upon checkin I will as offered a beverage. The waiting area, while not big, is nicely appointed. The salon offers a full complement of services for all ages and genders. I got a haircut and style with Genesis. She spoke with me about what I was looking for, then once we agreed that the style would work she shampooed and conditioned my hair with a small scalp massage. Very nice relaxing friendly salon. I made an appointment with Nikki online she did a fabulous job with my hair, coloring it and cutting it! It's been about a week now and with the shampoo they recommended my hair looks great & feels soft!
