My stylist is from NYC and asked me specific questions about what kind of highlights I wanted, where I wanted them and whether I normally opted for toner. Still waiting to see the outcome. Slightly awkwardly waiting in the reception area while she juggles another client. Slightly disappointed at the lack of mindless magazines - No Self, Seventeen, Vogue or Glamour. Fortunately, there was Harpers Bazaar so I could catch up on Paris Hilton's latest. I did the face framing height lights - 8 foils but I think she gave me a few extra. Saved around $60 by skipping toner and a blow dry. Asked for thick highlights, and they looked a bit skinned but the stylist showed me how they were actually thick. She was right. She didn't show me my hair automatically at the end. I had to ask, but I did like what I saw. read more

There are certain times in your life when you meet a special person at a special place! I had the fortunate opportunity at Salon 210! Before departing from my 3 week stay in Florida, running ragged with my two very young grandchildren, I felt exhausted and disheveled! What I needed was a haircut, or a styling, if you will. And there she was , my savior Hair Goddess, Blythe! I walked into this nicely decorated Salon and she greeted me in a very professional kind manner. With no appointment, Blythe said that she could cut my hair in 15 minutes. I went to get a Starbucks Latte and was back in 15 minutes. Blythe asked me what type of cut I preferred, and I she carried it out perfectly. Thank you Blythe! You are my go to stylist when I'm in St Augustine! Jenn has been cutting my hair for 20 years and does an amazing job every time. I have had many different kinds of hairstyles, colors and everything in between, and each time it turns out looking great. My whole family gets their hair cut by Jenn along with my boyfriend. She does a great job of listening to what you want, giving you her expertise, and walking you through the process. First time here and I loved loved loved it! I booked my appointment online, unfortunately because Hurricane Matthew hit, it had to be rescheduled and everything done online. My appt was on a Friday and it was rescheduled for Monday, when my stylist is normally scheduled off but did it just to accommodate me, now that's customer service! Josh is extremely knowledgeable of all the products used, with years of experience! His wonderful personality made my experience even more enjoyable. My hair was different colors, dry and damaged. You had me at "free glass of wine"! Definitely needed that after a long day. I've been visiting Jennifer to tame my hair for close to 10 years now. She's been at this location for several years, and I really like it! She does a great job with my hair and always knows what I want when I come in. She's offered suggestions over the years of new techniques to take care of my hair which has been helpful. Once I got this grand idea to do something really different with my hair. Jennifer did a great job, but I hated it. She had me come back the next day and changed it back (as much as she could) and worked with me until it grew out. I even visited her when I donated my hair. She helped me plan how best to do "the cut" (which basically meals you pull your hair into pony tails and CHOP!) so that afterwards I would still have a nice style. I really appreciated this. I also should give a shout out to Josh who is hilarious and does a great job with my eyebrows. (Psst... if he's there, ask for him to do your brows over Jennifer.. she doesn't mind... ) I'm also sure he does a great job with hair, I've just personally never had mine cut or styled by him. Had my first visit/session with Josh. At first sight I was like what the HECK did I get myself into. Girls....he did an amazing job correcting my color and cut. Yay! I FINALLY found a wonderful, professional local hair salon! Had my first appointment with Kim (a consultation and the works). She was awesome! Kim took the time to listen to my hair color, cut and style requests. I was really looking to find a place where I could establish a good long-term relationship...and I found it! I walked out of there with exactly what I wanted, so I will definitely be back! Kim did some color correction and left me with a beautiful ombre (with some beautiful blonde ends as requested). I really appreciated that Kim would repeat back the plan of action, just to be sure we were on the same page...she took the time to make sure I understood all the steps necessary to achieve a the best and the desired outcome. I also like the layout of the salon...not an big open-floor plan, but nice personal spaces for each stylist to perform their magic. I had already tried out another local salon, and after several visits, decided it was not working for me...I was not bonding with my stylist and she just wasn't a good listener. I have been a client of Jennifer's for years and my crazy head of hair has proved that she is a true miracle worker! I used to wake up every morning looking like a poodle who went to sleep wet and ungroomed, it was a serious issue. Now not only do I have a fabulous style that I can wear straight or curly, I have amazing Surface products to help tame my mess in all forms of weather. Rhonda has been doing my hair for several years and I absolutely just love my entire experience each time I go. Not only do I feel like a new women but the overall experience is very soothing and relaxing. They have individual rooms for each stylist so your session is private and personal without a lot of distractions from other clients. I think what I love about this salon the most is the intimate setting. This is a fun place to get your hair cut, styled, colored or otherwise improved upon. I traveled from afar to this Salon based on a friend's recommendation and I am glad that I did. It can be a little hard to find (strange one way parking lot) but Jen and Co. have a very nice facility with individual rooms so you don't feel like you are on an assembly line and the place has a very nice vibe.
