Is Aveda priced higher compared to other salons? Maybe. Do I love getting a bargain sometimes? Sure. Do you often get what you pay for? Yes!! Do I always get FANTASTIC service at Panache Aveda? Definitely! I steered away from Aveda for a couple of years after being a client for 7+ years (I moved to a new area and tried a friend). While I loved the way my friend did my color, no matter how many different brands of color he used...my hair was dry, brittle and eventually started to break! I switched back to Aveda (services and products) a few months ago and I am soooo happy I did! My hair is back healthy and shiny again. The Color Specialist I see is Casey. She listens to me, gives great suggestions and gives me the EXACT results I want. I trust her so much, I even brought my Little in to see her! From the amazing techniques to the relaxing hand massage and scalp massage, this place knows how to keep a client!

I have never gone online to write a bad review but I felt like I couldn't let this go if I could help someone else not have this happen to them. I went to Cheryl at Panache and let me tell you how horrible the experience was. She was nice lady but the entire time kept talking about what a fabulous job she was doing and how I will be sending all of my friends to her. (I will include a picture of my hair for reference) I had very, very long hair. I went in with a picture just wanting to cut about 2 inches off and add some long layers. She kept pulling my hair out straight in front of my face and cutting straight across (I have never seen this method before but I'm not a "professional" so who am I to judge...or so I thought). She turned me away from the mirror the entire time and round brushed my hair for a very long time once done...I didn't like it at all but I honestly thought it was her styling. I figured I would get home and style on my own and I would be good as new. Boy was I wrong! I looked like I had a bowl cut about the length of a bob around my head and razored so much it looked like hedge clippers got to it. The bottom layer was so far from the top layer it was as if I had 2 different haircuts. I ended up having to go to a friend's house that no longer cuts hair but was so appalled by my cut she said she would do it for me from her home (here is more money spent). The only choice she had was to cut it into a lob. For a girl with VERY long hair this was the worst news ever. I called the salon 3 times, provided pics and finally got a manager call back. All they would do was apologize and provide my pre-tip hair cut price back but admitted the hair cut was atrocious. Didn't offer to refund the very large tip amount, didn't offer free products, didn't offer to do extensions on my hair complimentary, didn't offer to pay for my re-cut I had to get. In a world of "reviews are king" I would find better customer service than that. Very disconcerting...I just wish they had made more effort to fix this very large mistake.

Jamie is a literal miracle worker! I had balayage highlights done at another salon and there were awful! There were horizontal harsh lines of blonde across my head. She patiently spend close to 6 hours to fix it! And did an incredible job! Better than I ever thought my hair could look! Can't thank Jamie and Panache enough!

I've got serious post salon swagger. I have a tendency to be impatient and vague when it comes to my hair, which as you can imagine, makes things difficult. Typically I leave after hours of corrections and a small fortune only half satisfied. Not this time, Jamie nailed it. Reasonable prices and a professional staff really round out the amazing products and shear skill. (See what I did there! ). It's a little off the beaten path, but well worth the drive (I hike it all the way from Orlando). Highly recommended.

And the price i paid was always 140-160. 160 full foil,no cut,just the Foil. SO the DAY OF my daughters appt May 14 I received a text telling me how its under new ownership and they have new & exciting supplies, however its going to be 65.00 more PLUS AN additional 25 if her hair is 1/2 way to her elbows!? The day of, hours before her appt! How unprofessional. I understand prices go up and they should have honored the price at the time if booking. And moving forward Id understand the price going up and could decide to stay or go. But hours before her apot being told its not a 20 increase, not 30 but 85! Thats insanity. So my daughter said"mom,she never does your hair how you want it anyway. Why pay that amount last minute AND it not be done properly." She was right. So they lost me, a repeat customer for years, lost my referrals, lost my daughter too. So I hope that 85 was worth it. Bad bad business. 85 increase hours before the appt when it was 160. Unbelievable. OH! I had sent a coworker here when I 1st started. She went a few times & stopped because she said she was being charged for a full foil and only received a partial for 1 visits. So she was getting ripped off she told me. I felt awful referring her here. Again, bad business . Rip offs STEER CLEAR

She assured me that Mandy was fully capable of achieving the cut and color I requested. When I arrived, Mandy seemed pleasant at first, but things quickly became concerning. She asked me which gauge she should use to cut my hair after I showed her the reference photo, which made me question her experience. When it came to the color, she used two different techniques that clearly weren't appropriate together, and when the color failed to take correctly, she blamed my hair type rather than acknowledging the mistake. Throughout the appointment, she took long personal phone breaks, and then shifted blame to the receptionist for booking me with her. I ended up removing myself from her chair after the wash because I no longer felt confident in her abilities. I immediately contacted management and explained everything to the manager, Jay. Jay saw me the next day to fix the situation. While she did manage to correct what Mandy had done, she also made excuses for why Mandy's results turned out so poorly, even though Mandy had claimed she was experienced with this type of cut and color. For context, my hair is a mixed Afro-Native American texture with small natural curls, which is still very workable for a skilled stylist. Although Jay originally said I would not be charged for the day prior due to the issues caused by Mandy, she ultimately decided to charge me anyway on top of my service with Jay. Her reason for the day prior charge was she felt that Mandy "did lift color." I paid the extra cost, but the entire experience left me extremely disappointed. I will not be returning to this salon, and I strongly caution others to be careful when booking here.

I was excited to try a new stylist after…read moreseeing her work on IG (Avery) and was prepared to spend more than I normally would, but I walked out feeling frustrated and like I didn't get what I paid for--especially at a $300 price point. The appointment started off uncomfortably when the stylist next to me overheard what I do for a living (title insurance) and commented that I work in "legalized extortion." Not only was this wildly inappropriate, it made me feel awkward and judged right from the start. I had a thorough consultation with my stylist and we agreed that to achieve the look I wanted--light ends contrasting with a deeper base--I'd need a full lightening service rather than the partial that was originally quoted. I agreed to the upcharge with the expectation that I'd get the desired result. Unfortunately, that's not what I got. Instead of a smooth, dimensional color, I ended up with chunky highlights, a grown-out root look, and ends that are still noticeably darker than the base. It looks like a rushed job and not at all the intentional contrast we discussed. To make things worse, there are two very obvious bright white spots at my hairline where toner was completely missed. I brought this up when I got home and noticed it (Avery really should have caught them when washing or styling my hair, they're quite obvious) and the stylist did offer to fix it, but her availability didn't line up with mine. I explained that I couldn't take another hour and a half off work to come in during the week, given the 30+ minute drive each way, which she knows because we live near each other. Rather than showing understanding, she got defensive and told me it wouldn't take long and that I should reach out to the salon owner if I had further concerns. The one bright spot in all this (well, other than the 2 in my hairline) is that the haircut turned out well, which is the only reason I'm giving two stars instead of one. But overall, this was a frustrating experience with results I'm unhappy with and a lack of professionalism I didn't expect from a salon at this price point. I won't be returning.

At the time of signing in June 2025, I was told my deposit was $512.50, which I paid and was given a receipt. My daughter booked a hair and makeup trial (at an additional cost) and to say the least it was very disappointing. The makeup gal's air brush wasn't working so she had to everything free hand. The finished makeup trial left my daughter extremely saddened, and we voiced this to the salon. They offered a 2nd trial at no cost, and let's just say that this one was even worse. My daughter said she could have done better by herself! This is supposed to be a magical day where my daughter gets made up for her big day! So now it is time to pay the balance, and my contract clearly states that I have up to 14 days before the wedding to make changes. With 17 days until the wedding, I called and emailed to make changes and was told I could not and I would be charged full price, plus they didn't have any record of my deposit, which, thank the Lord I saved, because I had to send it to them. I clipped out that part of my contract and emailed it to the salon asking if they would re-consider. I got a very positive email stating that the person I spoke to had no idea about my contract and shouldn't have said anything. They would be happy to make changes. WHAT A RELIEF!! Or so I thought. That never happened. I got a whole crap load of run around with stylists and new employees and a "manager". I was told that our Google Doc (not my contract) had 6 people and that the salon had booked out 2 folks, a makeup and a hair stylist (which we would have had anyway?) and that since I didn't pay 50% down they were going to charge me 50% of the girls that were originally booked on the Google Doc (not the contract). I kept saying my contract says I have up 14 days to make changes, but they kept going back to the whole "You didn't pay 50% down". You told me what to pay, so I paid it?? How is it my fault if the girl at the front desk didn't remember to add on gratuity or travel?? Why am I being penalized? I kept trying to get a reason out of the "manager", but she dug her heels in and expected me to pay the additional fees. I asked her one last time, "So you are not going to honor your contract?", and no she did not. We found an angel to take over the makeup and hair for my daughter's wedding on short notice, so I cancelled my contract, understanding that my $512.50 deposit is non-refundable. Just a warning for any of you brides to be who wish to use this salon...I would highly recommend looking elsewhere. The customer service in this salon is absolutely ridiculous, is no professionalism, no positivity, no willingness to honor a contract, and lastly, the artistry of the staff left a lot to be desired. You are way better off going elsewhere.
