After that day, I started scheduling hair appointments with Jeanine and alternate between full and partial high & lowlights each visit. I unfortunately had a very disappointing experience at this salon…read more Before my appointment, I showed my stylist inspiration pictures of **my own hair** from when I previously had the blonde color I wanted to return to. She also showed me her inspiration pictures, and we agreed on the cut and color before beginning. While she was coloring my hair, I asked about doing a full highlight and whether a partial would achieve the color we discussed. She told me it was too late to switch to a full because the technique was different. I wasn't concerned because I trusted that the partial would achieve the result we had agreed upon. After bleaching and toning my hair, she then told me that my hair would not be as blonde as I wanted because I had received a partial and would need a full session to achieve that result. I was very frustrated because I had specifically asked about a full highlight earlier. If I had been told beforehand that a partial could not achieve the agreed-upon color, I would have chosen a different service. I also noticed a visible line from my previous color that had not been blended. When I spoke with the manager, she told me, "I am the professional and I know what I'm talking about." I agreed and explained that this was exactly why I was upset--I trusted the professional to tell me what service was necessary to achieve the color we discussed. Instead, I was told after the service was completed that I couldn't get the result I wanted. The manager became extremely upset and yelled at me while I was trying to explain my concerns. I had to ask her to calm down. When I said I would be leaving an honest negative review about my experience, she accused me of threatening her. I found that response completely inappropriate and extremely disrespectful. I was not offered a refund, only discounted additional services to try to achieve the look I originally wanted. I never would have agreed to the salon's pricing if I had known beforehand that the service being performed could not achieve the result we discussed. I only booked here because my regular stylist was booked and I was trying to fit in an appointment. Unfortunately, I left unhappy with both my hair and the way my concerns were handled. I will not be returning. Edit: I am also a natural blonde, as the stylist stated during the appointment when she said this would be and "easy" treatment during the appointment. My stylist I normally go to also regularly performs this service.

So, let me start out by saying, my experience at T.H.E. was not great. I had been there before but…read morethis time (after over 3 hours) I left sore, exhausted, and scalding mad. There were some communication issues related to billing and services and some issues with the way my bangs were cut. When I got home, I was HOT with anger. I felt very much over billed and slightly taken advantage of. I called and left word to have the manager, Melody, return my call. She did and was patient and professional, despite my very obvious anger. She explained the itemization and billing. I insisted on a partial refund and she said that was not their policy (understandably so) but that she did not want me to be unhappy and offered me a credit for the services I was not aware of when I returned for my next service. I feel this was fair and, in hindsight, very much appreciate her accommodation. Now, in regards to my hair cut and partial highlight... ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I have never received so many compliments for a hair cut/style and I have had MANY. People cannot stop telling me how awesome it looks. It is also the EASIEST style I have ever had to manage. Fast drying and I have never been able to get my extremely thick and wavy hair so straight. The partial highlights are natural-looking and it looks amazing with my angular face shape, an issue I can rarely get addressed with a stylist successfully. CELESTE is the only stylist I have ever seen here and I will not see anyone else going forward. T.H.E. clearly values loyalty and knows what they are doing. I will ABSOLUTELY be returning and recommend CELESTE (and all of their staff) for anyone looking to get something amazing done for their hair.

Unprofessional and disappointing experience…read more I scheduled an appointment here a week in advance for a double service: a haircut and bleach treatment. On the day of my appointment, while I was already on my way to the salon, I received a call from the receptionist informing me that my appointment was being canceled last minute. Instead of offering a solution or urgency in rebooking, I was told it would be another two weeks before I could be scheduled for the same service. The only compromise offered was to split the services -- haircut one week, color the next -- which was not ideal, nor what I had booked or planned for. It was implied that the cancellation was due to my stylist calling out, and while no direct explanation was given, it happened to be the day after what I believe was their birthday -- which raises questions about the level of professionalism and planning. If something unavoidable came up, I would have appreciated an honest explanation and a sincere effort to accommodate me promptly--especially since I had already made arrangements and was en route. At the time I was working 70 hours a week and I specifically took time out of my workday to go do this seeing as I had no free time. To make matters worse, I later received an automated confirmation for an appointment I never scheduled or approved, which only added to the confusion. The stylists here are also the owners, Patrick and Kevin, which makes the lack of communication and client care even more frustrating. As business owners, I expected better accountability, professionalism, and respect for clients' time. Unfortunately, this experience left a bad taste in my mouth, and I won't be returning.
