Phi Eco Salon - Hair Salons Near Me - Jacksonville Beach, Florida

I had a fantastic experience at Phi Eco Salon! I absolutely love that they have organic products and have never seen a salon anywhere else that does that! Carissa was so kind, thoughtful, accommodating, and fast! Everything about the experience was wonderful and I would highly recommend them to anyone! read more

I came here a few days ago. Despite the salon having a call out, they made sure to fit me in and give me a perfect haircut. I usually work with Lacey, who is absolutely amazing, but this time my hair was done by Cindy. Cindy did a great job of not only giving me the exact haircut I was looking for, but also keeping good conversation! She is so personable and I was greatful to get to meet her. They also sell a variety of products that I love! I grabbed some of their mouse because it makes your hair so silky, shiny and soft! I definitely recommend coming to this salon from anything from color to cuts. They are all so sweet and the atmosphere is very welcoming! read more

I saw information on next-door from hairstylist Lucas, which intrigued me I reached out to him with my 4653 questions m, he replied quickly!! He then reached out and helped me secure an appointment - once made I received several reminders (I love reminders!!) and headed in there today for my appointment. I was greeted by a lovely puppy in an extremely clean salon. The space is aesthetically pleasing. Open spaces, but not loud, the wash station was so comfortable I almost fell asleep! They only use quality products, I asked before making the appointment - and the products used were gluten-free, a requirement that I need. Lucas asked me 1000 questions, and did a great job overall. He was personable, friendly, and chatty - exactly what you want in someone doing your hair :-) . The rates are extremely, stress that EXTREMELY affordable, the service was divine overall it was a very pleasant experience read more

Lucas was offering a special. I went with his highlights and trim. He did so well that my oldest went to him after me! Don't forget to get a shampoo from him, he gives the best head massages with his shampoos! read more

Lacey Roczack is a wonder stylist & Phi Eco salon the most relaxing artistic (& inclusive) setting for her work. I've got course wavy hair & have settled for 'close enough' asymmetric bobs from past stylists thinking it just wasn't possible. My research paid off when stumbling across this 'sustainable' driven business & into Lacey's chair. Every visit always reaps the benefit of the perfect cut that I didn't think possible, with good conversation to boot. Her scalp massages ‍ will melt your cares & tension away long after the visit. Most unique, chill just plain lovely salon I've ever been to. read more

Phi Eco Salon - Sultry - Hair Salons Near Me - Jacksonville Beach, Florida

Carissa is a magician.. no wait she's just a phenomenal hair stylist. I've been coming to Phi for a while now and I just love the atmosphere of the salon and everyone who works there. Carissa knew exactly what I wanted when I came in and was able to save my hair after some rough highlights from another salon. All products are organic so I don't feel like I'm destroying my hair, and the quality is top notch. I would recommend Phi to everyone I know I'm so so so happy :) read more

I couldn't ask for a better overall experience at a salon. Second only to the talent these beautiful hair artists possess, is the calming chill atmosphere which makes you feel as though you've been transported while still maintaining the beach/eco vibes. I got my hair done by Caitlin. She is a newer stylist to the salon but I know that any artist Carissa would bring to the table would be nothing less than extraordinary. My box died black/brown hair needed to go and Caitlin took her time to ensure my hair processed and lifted to the correct shade of blonde and left me feeling soooo proud of my hair and already looking forward to my next appointment with her! read more

I was exploring Jacksonville beach when I come across this salon. When I walked in I was very impressed with the shop/products being used. My skin type is on the sensitive side. Having reactions to products has just been my life but this salon had no problematic products. I was told if you were interested in products that if you don't want to be wasteful they can refill the bottle for you at the salon. I love that the hair in the salon is all recycled and doesn't waste in a landfill somewhere. My stylist was Erin. I told her I wanted a Joan Jett mullet and she did not disappoint. It was the best haircut/style I have ever had. No one has ever taken the time to make sure my curls were their best. Thank you Erin and the Phi Eco salon! read more

Phi Eco Salon - Before and after - Hair Salons Near Me - Jacksonville Beach, Florida

I probably have been to most every salon this side of the Mississippi. My husband will attest to that! I have to tell you "Damel" did the best, I mean the BEST blonde highlight on me. I Thank Carissa the owner (who isn't taking any new clients) for referring Damel to me. Not only is she the best at color she is so kind! Salon is cool as well. THANK YOU DAMEL! read more

Phi Eco Salon (formerly known as Selphi) is a curly girl's best friend. Carissa is a magician with her free-style cuts for curls, and neither I nor any of the friends I've referred to Phi have ever had a less than stellar experience. A Jacksonville MUST. read more

I had the pleasure of having Jessie cut and color my hair! I was unsure what I wanted. I basically had let my hair grow long and into one length. Jessie was helpful in making recommendations. I am very pleased with the cut and color! I will be back for sure! I highly recommend Jessie, she is friendly and knowledgeable. As a sidenote, the owner was very friendly too and was training some of the girls on a coloring technique. I'd love that they were up for learning new trends and applications! read more

The is hands down the best salon in Jacksonville Beach. I've been coming here for a few years with my daughters religiously and can't imagine anyone else treating their hair. Having curly hair is something not every stylist knows how to handle and I thank all of them for being so skilled in this art. Amazing, vibes, cool location and killer staff. read more

I tried other highly rated salons in the area and left disappointed. Phi salon is the creme de la creme. All of the stylists are excellent and Carissa is a star. She gets my hair the correct shade with balayage roots and hair dimension. I feel like a million bucks each visit. You won't find a better stylist than Carissa. She is the very best in the industry. The zen atmosphere is relaxing and clean without pretensions. 11/10 read more

This was my daughter's 18th birthday gala held at a venue and we made an appointment several weeks before to have her hair done. I won't even give this review one star but they make you select a rating so let's be perfectly clear that the actual rating is ZERO, no stars!! We traveled from Kingsland to Jacksonville Beach and ran into a bit of traffic. Out of common courtesy I called the hair salon, no one answered the phone mind you and ended up reaching their answering machine so I left Jesse Shreves a voicemail message informing him of the traffic we ran into and we were going to be running late. To tell you the truth I've never been so disgusted with the type of attitude and cold shoulder that we received from the hairdresser Jesse Shreves when we arrived late on Friday, Nov 19, 2021 for my daughter's Styling & Flat/Curling Iron scheduled appointment from 3:00 to 5:00 PM. Jesse's piss poor excuse was that we were late and he had another client after us. OK?! So we still had an hour and a half window of our scheduled appointment for him to do something yet he did not offer anything and just turned us away. We had a scheduled appointment from 3 to 5 PM!!! Why even make the appointment?! Especially if this is the kind of crappie service or attitude you're going to get. Unbelievable!!! As we drove away my daughter was devastated and burst into tears that she was not going to get her hair done for her party. Hope you're proud of yourself Jesse Shreves of making a young lady cry on a very important day for her. No compassion or understanding, apparently this is the type of service you will get from Phi Eco Salon staff. Shameful!! After consoling my daughter and calmly her down, I reminded her that she still had her makeup appointment and that her grandmother, whom did hair for years could do her hair. Thank God we had her make up artist appointment with Kaitlin Francois of Boss Makeup Artistry, not only did Kaitlin offer to do her hair, she did a phenomenal job with both my daughter's hair and makeup!!!! Kaitlin saved the day!! Bottom line is Phi Eco Salon will never have the opportunity to service us again or any of my friends or family as I will not recommend this salon to anyone ever!!! I will also inform the physician that recommended the Phi Eco Salon of the horrible service that my daughter and I received!!! Total epic fail by Jesse Shreves!!! read more

Since moving to St. Augustine I was afraid to try a new salon as you never know what you're gonna get. I've had some pretty stressful times trying to get someone that: one, knows what their doing and two, listens to what you want. I lucked out when I got Eric at Phi. He was awesome and easy to talk to. He listened to me and made me feel comfortable. We went over color options and he was patient with me to figure out exactly what I was going for. The place was clean and well maintained. The decor is really eclectic and unique. They have a cool relaxation room with a water fall wall where I could sit and relax with a glass of Pinot while my color was setting. I'm definitely going back! read more

I have come to this salon twice now and each time it's such a dream. The massage during the wash is my favorite part, and the staff is so nice. An amazing salon! Got a fabulous wash, cut, and style from Mackenzie ( hope I spelled that right). 10/10 will come here again!

What an amazing experience. The Salon itself is very warm and welcoming. The decor is perfect, you immediately get the feel like you are in a different type of salon. I cannot say enough about this place and the wonderful strong independent women within. They always make sure your boy just getting a cut and or color but rather an experience and opportunity to relax and conversation and even cry sometimes ;). They are personal and real and overflowing with a strong honest kindness. The understanding and compassion for each person that walks thru the door is indescribable. The talent is impressive and unique. Seriously best place I have encountered in years. They get you and help you see where to go with your hair. Wether it be color or cut the limits of the abilities they hold are outstanding. I literally have grown to consider them a part of my family I'm such a short short time. And if that isn't enough, let's talk about the eco friendly world they have created. Products are safe and effective above expectations. They choose each item to decorate, utilize on clientele, and overall sustain the salon in a manner that always puts the customer and eco friendly as top priority. I had a great experience at Selphi salon. The place is very cute and nicely decorated. I had an appointment with Carissa and she did an amazing job with my curly hair. I have a very hard time finding people that know what to do with curly hair but Carissa cut every curl individually transforming my long hair into a cute short cut. She also took the time to teach me about my hair and how to style it different ways. I also love that they use Eco friendly products. I will definitely be going back! read more

This salon is so cute! I got my hair balayaged for the first time. I was wary because I never put color in my hair, but Alexis did an awesome job and took her time with me! They also offered me beverages during my visit which is always such a nice extra touch. The decor is super cute too and they played good comfortable music to set the atmosphere. I highly suggest! read more

Great salon! Felt comfortable immediately! Beautiful reclaimed wood decor... Carissa is more of an artist than stylist - passionate about what she does and it shows...after trying many salons and stylists she finally got my color right and she knows all about curly, wavy and hard to tame hair. Also heard great things about the other stylists. Price is reasonable - couldn't decide between moderate and pricey but those are the only yelp choices. read more

Not my favorite haircut and shocked at the $79 price. Will not be going back anytime soon.

Had such a great experience at phi eco, not only is the space beautiful but the employees are wonderful. I received a vitamin C peel from Shannon and I cannot say enough great things. I had a pretty bad experience here. I was so excited to try the salon. As a vegan, I really place a lot of value on companies that try to do what's right for animals and the environment. I said I only wanted a tiny bit cut off at least 6 times. Ashley showed me that she was only going to cut the very tips off. I thought we were on the same page. When I looked at the floor and noticed there were pieces cut that were at least 4 inches in length my heart sank. I have really been struggling with getting my hair to grow out and this has really set me back. Although she appeared to agree with me and said she would cut my hair how I wanted it, she disregarded my request to for just a simple trim of the ends. She cut the front very short and by the time I noticed the long pieces of hair on the floor it was too late. I have never complained at a salon before . But this is one of the most disappointing experiences I've ever had with a simple haircut. I emailed the salon to let them know about the experience and no one even bothered to reply. To me this shows that they really don't value clients. read more

I am so glad I found Selphi Eco Salon, right in Jax Beach! I love that they prioritize being a truly environmentally conscious hair salon, from the products they use to the ways that they recycle. Alexis is awesome - she always works to accommodate what I want with my hair (cut and color) and does a great job. This salon also rewards frequent or loyal customers with options for deals and savings. I highly recommend! read more

I moved to this area and have been looking for someone to do my hair for 2 years. I have gone to a few different salons and I was never thrilled with the results. Carissa is amazing! Definitely an artist as the other reviewer said. I feel lucky to have found her and the salon is great. A side note, I have a lot of trouble with color that smells too chemically, And gives me sinus infections. Whatever she used on my hair did not bother me one bit. She did say it was the most gentle, environmentally safe color on the market. Thanks Carissa! read more
