I had an amazing experience at Madison Avenue Salon in Ponte Vedra Beach. The owner and Olivia did my hair for a wedding I was attending, and they truly went above and beyond to make sure it was perfect. They took the time to listen to exactly what I wanted and looked through a few inspiration photos with me, then executed the style flawlessly. I received so many compliments on my hair throughout the evening! Everyone at the salon was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. PHENOMENAL! Probably the most underrated salon in the Jacksonville area. Lived in Chicago, LA & NYC and I had yet to find a salon that had the experience, the quality color & products and the kindest staff. Everyone is so friendly and based on their level of experience it's shocking to this big city girl how inviting the salon is. Not pretentious, just good at what they do and they love it. The manicurist is fantastic ! She is a scientist when it comes to nail care .She pays close attention to the health of your nails. Her nails don't peal nor chip after her manicures. She doesn't just paint your nails,she really puts her all in your manicure. read more

I was looking for a new salon, close to my home, I chose Madison Avenue. It was my Birthday and I wanted a nice hair style. I called this salon at 9::15 am and they gave me a 10:30 am appt. with Olivia. Olivia did a fabulous job! Seasoned nail tech, but I found it weird not to be asked to pick out a nail color when I arrived or to be provided a book of nail color options. The method of prepping my nails for fill did not in any way resemble what I'm used to. But I had to give it a fair chance and requested to keep the acrylic thin, natural looking. In the end it was thick at the cuticles and, when she asked about color I had to ask where they were. She pointed to a display on the wall behind me. The options were meager. Previous reviews note mentioned how friendly the staff is which sounded good, but in reality the chattiness all around was rather distracting. I'll be moving on to some other salon. read more

I have been using this salon twice a month for the last eighteen months. I feel that I am treated as though I am family ~ from the first moment I walked in, looking for someone comfortable coloring and cutting my hairstyle, my way, considering my fine hair. The owner, Autumn, introduced me to Madison. We talked about my concerns and I scheduled with Madison, immediately. I have been completely satisfied, every single visit. If you are looking for an environment that is friendly, and whose employees seem to genuinely enjoy one another's company, and the company of their patrons, this is your salon. Further, as to Madison, she listens very closely ~ every single time I come in ~ to what it is I want done, any concerns I may have, and then - very professionally, is able to deliver the result I am seeking. I came with my wife to get her hair cut. She works in the area and wanted to give this place a shot since she interacts with a few of the ladies who work there. Let me say that I have a lot of experience with hair salons. As an only child all the way through adulthood it feels like I've seen it all and know what to expect and what to look for when I go. This place was clean, it's the first thing I look for when I enter a place. Is the floor swept? Is their a lack of an off-putting smell of chemicals? Is the place organized? The answer to all of these mental questions was yes, so I dug it. My wife was greeted immediately as she walked in, I parked the car. I walked in a minute later and since the receptionist was talking to my wife and her stylist I came in unnoticed but I sat myself in the corner with my reading material and relaxed. I was greeted a minute later asking if they could help me, and when I said I was waiting for my wife the woman offered me a Coke which I gratefully accepted. My drink was brought out in a clean glass with ice. My wife and her stylist had a great rapport and were getting along great. Since the place was pretty empty the ladies all were talking in the back and enjoying themselves. This is a hair salon, so talking/gossiping is to be expected and frankly I always kind of enjoy overhearing the stuff myself. A professional, clean place that I enjoyed and my wife walked out paying a fair price and looking and feeling great. Good job ladies. read more

This salon moved in to this location a few years ago, but I didn't have an opportunity to visit until now. A few of the ladies in the salon used to work at Lisa T's which was where SoCo Salon is now. While I was never a client of hers, Autumn (the owner) was someone I chatted with regularly. So when I was in the need of a haircut - and I've been in need of a new 'hair girl' - I decided to give Madison Avenue a call and see if they were up to the job. The style of the salon fits perfectly for the neighborhood. While it's not too hip & modern, it's not too 'old lady' either. Speaking of nice old ladies, crossed paths with several of my neighbors who also happened to be there getting their hair did. I've been keeping my hair long as of late, and sometimes salons will charge you more. However, for my simple 'clean up' haircut sans blow dry, I was out of there for $35. Not your Supercuts Strip Mall kind of price, but definitely not the most expensive haircut I've ever had either. Madison Ave. might be the place I hang out when I need to catch up on all my gossip. read more

I was in town to visit my mom who unfortunately was at Mayo Hospital plus it was my 22nd Anniversary. I was looking like skunk . So my husband said please find a place you can go and relax and take your mind off things for a little While. Well THANK GOD I found Madison Avenue Salon. From The first phone call until the last good bye of the day they made me feel amazing! As typical salons work it's a place for friends and strangers to "really" get to know their clients. It was so nice to be able to talk about my mom and her sickness and also be excited about my new "do" and anniversary dinner that night. I can't wait to go back for a touch up be for the holidays. my daughter keeps crying because a stylist at this salon ruined her hair. she asked for summer highlights and received frosting instead that turned her hair grey. i wrote on the check that her hair was going to be corrected at a later date, as agreed. it was my daughter's birthday and we had been there for two hours, so the redo had to be done at a later date. i am an oncology patient, and ws so upset that i wrote the check out of the wrong checkbook and it bounced. instead of trying to call me, the manager called the police and they arrived at my door the next day telling me i had to go to jail. i immediately called the manager and she said she would honor no redo and demanded cash within the hour, or i would be arrested! she did not honor the previous agreement to get my daughter's hair fixed. we have always gone to cortello salon in jacksonville beach for years and years. they have better, healthier products and always work with you. if you are not pleased, they will work with you until they get it to your satisfaction at no extra cost. my daughter never came out of the cortello salon with grey hair crying. i have been both threatened and harassed by madison avenue salon for no reason-i am still in shock by this manager's behavior and unfortunately had an unhappy 16 year old daughter on her birthday. read more
