We were a party of 20 that made a reservation 2 days in advance and asked for the second floor tables, very specifically . When we arrived at the restaurant on a Sat eve at 6:45pm, we were told that the only tables they had were on the main floor by the bar. No apology, made us feel like "you take it or leave it". We understood that they perhaps could not accommodate 20 at one table, but I wish we were told ahead of time. We would have opted for a different restaurant. We did have another reservation for 20 at uncle Julios but cancelled it. We also told them that we had little kids and we're not comfortable in the bar area with the kids, but the hostess told me there was nothing crazy going on there so it was ok for the kids. However, it was super loud and we could barely hear each other. When we said that we had reserved in advance, I was deeply disappointed that the hostess/ manager told us that someone new took the reservation and they were sorry because they don't take reservations for parties of 20. They did nothing to try to accommodate us. I wish they could have moved us when tables became available, but they did absolutely nothing! We had nowhere to go on a Saturday night with 9 kids in the cold! This is not our first visit there, but don't think we will go there again! read more

Disappointing experience across the board. Have been here several times prior and always had a good experience, but won't be returning after tonight. Restaurant was not really busy. Had to get up to ask for silverware and request drink refills twice. Appetizer came out with meal, pizzas were lukewarm and soggy. Server never even bothered to check in once food arrived. Save the frustration and go to one of the many other spots around there. read more

Ordered the calamari, it was nicexand crispy. Nice flavor. It came with a aioli dipping sauce. It used to come with a spicy chili sauce. Which was delicious . Our pesto chicken pizza was delicious as well. Over all a good date spot. read more

Amazing lunch. Bar is open - patio looks great! Calamari perfectly cooked. Caesar salad on a nice cold plate. I'm so happy! I'll be back. read more

I've eaten here multiple times at various times of the day and each visit the food, ambience and service were top notch.

Love the food here I would definitely recommend the pizza. Service is really good. Very nice clean professional atmosphere.

Overall Matchbox is nice and casual dining. It has a good amount of options for everyone in the party. The ambiance is very nice and the service is fairly quick depending on the day. read more

Waitress stole my son's $25 gift card. He took his prom date to dinner, gave the gift card and his debit card to pay the bill which was $75 and he left a $14 tip. He didn't take the receipt. I just noticed the charge on his debit card for $89. What happened to the gift card?! Don't send your naive teens to this location!!! read more

Mixed feelings. Very limited menu however it seems to be well executed by the culinary staff and is definitely well priced. For a "top end" night out with your wife, or with the girl you hope to impress, this is not the ideal place. I will say though, it certainly has a Freindly and light atmosphere as you would come to expect from One Loudoun, so 1st-3rd dates would certainly be appropriate here. Will likely grab a bite here again. Would not bring a girl here for dinner, but an outdoor patio drink and a slightly above average lunch is definitely called for. Overall 5.5/10 read more

This used to be one of my favorites, but it has really gone downhill the past couple of years. Tonight, it took 45 minutes to get food and the pizza was barely warm. Service was so slow. I had to ask 3 times for a coke refill which was hard because we almost never saw the server. And the bathrooms were gross! 2 were unusable and the 3rd had no toilet paper. The Reston location is definitely better so I will go there if I decide to give Matchbox another try. read more

We came on a very cold afternoon and it was not busy at all. The service was slow and our server forgot to ring in our drinks. Luckily we were never charged for our beers. I think he may have been new do he gets a pass. The food was very good though. My kale Caesar salad was delicious. There was still a lot or flavor without an overload on the dressing. My bf got the fried chicken sandwich. They had the option to make it super spicy so he chose that but said it wasn't terribly spicy. The bun was perfectly toasted. The environment was nice. They have a lot of seating and outdoor seating. Seemed like a good place to come with friends or family. Also seemed old friendly. Would love to come back on a Friday or Saturday night to see how the crowd is. read more

Nice, clean, open atmosphere. (You can eat outside also). We had their Sunday brunch menu. (Worth it!) the food came quick & was hot. The mimosas, yummmmmm! We will definitely be going back! read more

The ambiance of the place is nice but the food of the place is extremely salty. But the service of the staff is nice, the staff is really kind. Though, some of the dishes we wanted weren't there which was a but upsetting. read more

I just love this place. Great food and great customer service. There's a reason this place is always busy.

Lots of outdoor seating and pizza is great. A bit pricey but not unreasonable. Normally crowded but we went at 11 on a Sunday and had no issue getting a table read more

I came here for BRUNCH for the first time and I walked out full and happy. You can either pay for an entree off of their menu or pay one set price (I think it was in the 30's) and you can order an unlimited amount of food off of their brunch menu. There are so many options to satisfy your cravings. Biggest plus: mimosas, bellinis, and Bloody Marys are $3!!!!!!! My server was wonderful so I can't complain. Parking is around the corner so there will be some walking involved. read more

Good place to grab dinner in One Loudoun. Service is quick and the food is good. The pizza and app's are both really good. They also have some solid happy hour specials as well. Good choice opposed to most of the other places in One Loudoun having a more "Night Lifey" vibe. read more

Food was great and service was great too. Made a reservation for 7 and had no delay in seating. The restaurant itself is very spacious and has many different styles of seating. Would definitely recommend. read more

I was attempting to have a quick lunch. I ordered over the phone (the bbq bacon burger, xtra bacon, no tomatoes, and med well). I received a med rare burger. Matchbox manager and staff to the rescue!! Do NOT order through Uber Eats!! We had ordered Matchbox to be delivered though Uber Eats for a small party that we were having. We got a message five minutes before the order was to be delivered that Uber Eats had cancelled our order. We tried to call Uber Eats...no answer. We called Matchbox directly and the hostess connected us right to the manager. The manager was just awesome! He explained the issue and told us that our order was sitting there ready to be picked up. By that time, our food would have been cold and not good to serve party guests. So, he expedited a second order for us to pick up that would be ready after 20 minutes. When I arrived at Matchbox, the staff brought the manager immediately to me. Our order was just coming out of the oven. He had staff members help take our food to the car and even let me take home our original order (for leftovers). The staff and the manager handled the situation amazingly. I left the restaurant feeling 100x better than when I entered. Thank you for great customer service!! read more

Sat at the bar and Roberto was amazing. The Chicken Cobb Salad is my favorite. This is the best of One Loudoun.

Had the fire & smoke pizza with fresh jalapeno slices added. I still used the crushed red and Tabasco to make it hotter, but it's probably spicy enough for most people. The sauce is a little sweet and smoky. We also had the chicken fettuccine alfredo. The noodles were cooked perfectly al dente - just right before they get soft. The cremini mushrooms are a nice step up from regular white mushrooms. Our server, Katelyn, was great. BTW, tried the espresso brownie budino, it wasn't so much decadent as just really sugary. Almost forgot, the spicy tuna tartare appetizer is flavorful, mot too spicy, and has a crunchy lite custom hard shell. read more

Excellent service, the atmosphere is hip, and everyone is practicing social distancing. We thoroughly enjoyed the sliders. The burgers are juicy, buns are lightly toasted, pickles are crisp, and the onion strings are spot on! Matchbox found a gem in the manager Benjamin. He is amiable and gracious. We look forward to dining with Matchbox! read more

This location is huge, especially when the weather is nice enough to dine outside. Four of us had dinner and drinks on one of the open-air patio spaces. Everyone was satisfied with the cocktails & entrees and Shirley did a great job serving us. I had the mahi mahi special with mashed potatoes instead of rice. Yum! Everyone else tried a different type of burger with thumbs-up all around. Bathrooms are clean, which is always a tell on how much a place cares about providing a pleasant experience. When in the area, we will definitely return and have even been enticed by this experience to visit the location closer to home. read more

Overpriced frozen foods. Kind of like a Chili's. But you're safe stopping for drinks.

Located in crowded town center. Glad we booked a reservation on Open Table cuz there was a 15-30 min wait when we came in during dinner rush on a Friday. Host staff was friendly and organized and we were seated right away. We sat in upper level, restaurant din wasn't too loud and the lighting was appropriately turned down. Alan took great care of us, and a few other team members stopped by to see how we were doing as well. Had the mid-priced Liberty cabernet which was good. Boyfriend had a simple cocktail which was good too. Spinach and artichoke dip was awesome! (Served with tortilla chips) Tried the seasonal blackened tuna ponzu - so good! Lot's of ginger in it with carrot cauliflower puree and fancy green beans. Tuna was a little more than seared, but I hadn't specified a cook temp. Boyfriend got crab cakes which had large pieces of crab and an almost creamy texture. Fries had old bay on them i think which made them tasty. Gonna get the classic brownie dessert. Looking forward to coming here again! read more

Very good service and delicious food! Lot of variety to choose from so it's good for groups. Can get a little noisy but that's expected from a busy restaurant. I was excited when they first came to town. Since then, the quality of their food and their service has dropped tremendously. Not a fan.

The time has come. My birthday arrived and there's no better place than to celebrate it with my family. We visited this place the last week of August. It was perfect weather on a Sunday afternoon that we decided to have lunch on the second floor on the balcony. I have failed to grab the server's name, but our server was so outgoing and helpful. He was pretty occupied with other customers in his section, so there were some little time for him to take care of us. We ordered different things on the menu so we can all share - 3.6.9 mini burgers (9 minis, $23) and arancini ($12.50) for appetizer, apple + pear salad ($9.50), small matchbox meat ($15) and spicy meatball ($14.50) pizzas, and a new york style cheesecake ($8). Though everything was tasty, the highlights for me were the mini burgers and the pizzas. The mini burgers were cooked medium rare. That's how you're supposed to cook the burgers. On top of that, no pun intended, the thin fried onions were piled high on the mini burgers. The thin fried onions went so well with the mini burgers. They were a good combination and so addictive to eat! Now for the pizzas. The pizzas were served hot from the oven but still tasted delicious. I should've waited for the pizza to cool off, but instead I took a huge bite that I burned a little bit under the roof of my mouth (oops!). Even though the pizza was small and served 6 slices, the pizza dough was thin to a point that the pizza would curve down when you first pick it up. If you are ever in the mood for pizza or slider's fix, stop by Matchbox at One Loudoun! read more

First time coming here and I thought it was great! Nothing beyond extraordinary but I still enjoyed my time. My friends and I came in around lunch time on a Monday and sat at the bar. Let me start off my saying that I really like the interior of the restaurant. I think it looks super hip and there's a variety of seating areas. If it were a little nicer, I would have loved to sit outside. The bar area opens up to the outside space with a garage style door which I thought was really cool. They also have seating areas on a balcony upstairs! I wish they opened that up for people to sit, but I heard they almost never open up that space (such a shame). I ordered a mimosa and the matchbox meat pizza which were both pretty good! Again, nothing extraordinary, but still a yummy pizza and the mimosa was refreshing and just what I needed (at 1 pm on a monday hehe). My friends ordered the ahi tuna tartare tacos as an appetizer which were soooo good. The shell was crispy but not a typical taco shell (in a good way), and the tuna tasted fresh spicy! Other orders were the apple and pear salad, the spicy meatball pizza, and a Cobb salad. I only heard good things! Another positive about my experience was the bartender. She was very helpful, friendly, and answered all of our questions about drinks and food. All in all, I would definitely come back to this location! Hopefully I'll be able to get a table upstairs or outside next time! read more

We give this establishment a lot of business. We order out from them often, especially during this covid period. Ordered takeout and asked for 1-2 condiments for our food. Server gave us an attitude and told us it needs to be ordered online since there is a charge. Charge for ranch and ketchup? Really. Anyways they said they would place it in our bag. Curb side pickup order. Came home no condiments. Honestly we are spending so much money you would think that they could include some condiments with our order. Leaves me not wanting to order from here again. I value good customer service. read more
