Mario really saved the day for us! We're doing a house remodel where there was a TON of work to be done. We ended up hiring a different electrician who was just awful. He would come to the house at 8pm when he said he would be there at 8am. He wouldn't even show up a lot of times. Told us the job would take 2 days then 2 weeks go by and only half the job was done and he actually created more problems for us. Needless to say, we had to fire him. We did a full remodel of our kitchen and Mario added a new electrical service panel for the kitchen, so that all the appliances have their proper load bearing and circuits, and no one appliance will trip the others. We added an island and had to add an electrical circuit to the island and introduced us to Armando, who did all the prep work, and drywall. Excellent job there too! I was looking for an electrician to help install a Tesla Wall charger. Mario came out, took a look at my ancient 1978 electrical panel and gave me a couple options to choose from. I never felt pressured in any way, he simply gave me a couple choices to choose from, without trying to steer me or "up sell" me in any way. We chose to have him replace the old panel and install the new wall charger inside the garage. Mario and his brother Jose did an awesome job! They efficiently removed my old panel, carefully cutting the stucco without damaging the wall, installed the new one, and also placed the wall charger exactly where I wanted it to go. Their price was very reasonable, and I felt confident that we were in good hands. We looked at a lot of electricians before we chose Mata Electric, and I will never use a different company. I had a list of electricians I called. One took up my weekend making open ended promises to show and did not. Another did not want to assess the situation and giving a quote prior to working on my property. Mata Electric was called and he showed up when he said he would and got the job done. Although his price was slightly more than that was quoted from the other two electricians, he showed up and he performed the work that was desperately needed. He was open and straightforward on the situation and the level of work needed to get my house running again. When I had to call him back to get instructions on how to operate the new electrical outlet that we put in the kitchen, he came back and showed us how to use it. He also explained how our house was built and the difference in it as compared to how houses are built today. Good education to know that our house is slightly different than newer homes on the market. I felt that he was straight forward and got the job done. I was very impressed with Mario. He was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. He offered me a fair price for the projects I wanted done. Most other electricians I later called were shocked he would try to charge 2 hours of work at one of the highest rates they've heard of ($150) for a simple fix that they said takes 15 minutes.
