I can't compliment this company enough. I recieved several quotes before selecting MAT Movers. My friend told me about them after he used them several times. I still got quotes from several other companies. MAT Movers quote was based on the hour and they provided a rough estimate sheet. I was so worried they would work extra slow because they charge hourly. Let me tell you these guys are amazing. I felt like they were sprinting the whole time without taking a break. They were super punctual the first day but I had an early apt. The next day for delivery I had a late time and they got stuck on previous jobs. They showed up super late. I was a little irritated but they more then made up for it in their non stop energy even after working a long day. They were super careful with everything. I was worried about my walls and my 72" tv. Not a single problem. Also at the end of the long night after my house was unpacked i offered them to stop working and have a beer. They insisted they had 15 minutes left on the hour and assembled furniture instead. Like seriously. I'm a hard worker but I'd take the beer. Lol. The bill came and I saw before hand they screw you with a 6% credit card fee (I have bullsh|t CC capabilities and I can do 3.5% so not sure 6%) so I had all cash. They also tacked on a bit of Tape usage fees. It wasnt crazy but it was a little unexpected. The price at the end of the move was still cheaper than anyone else by 25%. A solid 25%. And thats why I don't worry about Tape fees. I just wish they were a little but more transparent about it. I recommend MAT movers to everyone I know. This isnt some crap yelp review. You need to just prepare for the gotchas such as tape fees, credit card fees, and end-of day scheduling. If you know that, this company is amazing! read more

PLEASE DO NOT HIRE M.A.T MOVERS! I hired M.A.T Movers to pack and move my furniture on April 25, 2020. I purchased a new home and had wood floors installed throughout my house before moving my furniture into my new home. I didn't want to move in then remove furniture to have wood floors installed. My furniture was not wrapped with plastic to protect from inclement weather my living room set has water stains. The moving company did not have shoe covers which added to floors being scratched. AsI trusted M.A.T Movers to move my furniture and it ended up being one of the worst decisions of my life. It was a complete DISASTER! Please see before and after photos of my floors. Due to COVID-19, It's taking longer than I expected to get a court date to sue M.A.T Moving Company. I hope this helps to show what type of company they are. read more

My original movers cancelled on me last minute. I found M.A.T. movers on Yelp two days before I needed to move. They were on time, moved quickly and properly wrapped my heavy glass tabletop and standing mirror. I will use them again in the future. read more

I have used MAT 3 times now (twice in state and once out of state) and I absolutely love using them. They are incredibly responsive, efficient and do an overall outstanding job. I had another mover cancel on me last minute to move from Maryland to Boston and I emailed MAT and they were able to move me on only 3 days notice. They are absolutely incredible and I could not recommend a company more. read more

They were wonderful! Arrived right on time, fair price and very professional and efficient. I highly recommend them!

Can I say professional, punctual and precise in how they handled the entire customer service experience with MAT Movers!?! I would definitely recommend!! Quote was very reasonable compared to other moving companies and I moved a hour away. Think twice before choosing another company that may charge double! read more

M.A.T. Movers helped move us from a 4 story townhouse into our new home. The team arrived early and came with 2 vehicles. The team worked hard to move everything as efficiently as possible and wrapped all our furniture with care prior to moving. They also disassembled and reassembled furniture which was too wide to move down the stairs. The 4 men were all very professional and pleasant throughout the day. I would definitely recommend M.A.T. Movers and will use their services on any future moves! read more

This company is fantastic for furniture pick up and delivery. I called them the day before I needed a sectional picked up and delivered across town, and they fit me into their schedule. Not only that, but they showed up to the pick up address early, moved quickly and professionally, quoted a reasonable price, and were generally a pleasure to work with. I would use this service again, and recommend them to my friends. read more

I can't say enough about these guys! Last minute move because my closing on my new home kept getting pushed back. Very efficient and extremely careful with your furniture. Not one piece was even scratched and I don't know how they managed not to put not even a smudge on any wall in a brand new townhouse where it's extremely difficult to get furniture upstairs. The price was extremely competitive and I'm very happy and relieved!!! read more

We reached out to MAT movers along with a few other companies to schedule two moves within a week - one local city apartment move-out and one longer distance single family home move-out (about 100 miles). MAT responded right away after our initial request, and they were able to provide details and initial estimates during our first call. Each time we reached out with more details and to begin scheduling, they promptly responded. Both moves went very smoothly, the team arrived right on time, was very polite and worked efficiently, and took great care to ensure nothing got damaged. They did a great job with disassembly and re-assembly as needed. It was reassuring to see the same team come again for our second move since we had such a good experience the first time, and again they did a great job with the long distance move and managing to fit in all the furniture, even large pieces that had to fit through tight doorways and narrow stairwell corners. The second move was during a heavy rainstorm, so they took extra care to cover everything so it wouldn't get damaged. We highly recommend them and will use them again for future moves! read more

We had a great experience with M.A.T. Movers for our DC to North Carolina move! Michael and Alex arrived on-time and worked quickly. They handled our belongings with care and everything arrived in perfect condition. They were friendly and communicative. We are very happy with the value and service they provided. Thank you, M.A.T. Movers! read more

I would give them a higher rating if not for their customer service. Booking with Mr. Petrenko was a professional process and easy. The moving team arrived on-time. Big plus! They took care with my piano, wrapping it in blankets and then shrink wrapping it. Although, they did not shrink wrap my two sofas. They scrapped the walls of my new address moving the piano and a sofa upstairs. Then, scrapped the wall again when placing a dresser. I was able to wipe the black marks off the walls with a Clorox wipe. The lead mover went over charges with me upon arrival. Same figures as I was quoted by Michael Petrenko via email. My only surprise was that they charge for both tape and shrink wrap. Fortunately, I already had both on hand. Regarding customer service...the lead mover was sullen and not friendly. A couple times, he actually ignored me when I asked a question, instead responding by talking to the other two movers in Russian. All three movers spoke Russian. One of the movers just kept staring at me, never said hello, just stared. When the movers started unloading at my new address, the sullen behavior was so bad, I asked the lead mover outright, "Is everything okay? You seem upset." He just looked at me and did not respond. Maybe they thought I was not going to pay. Not sure. All I know is that the sullen attitude changed after I paid in full and gave a tip. The lead mover suddenly became more pleasant and said his "Please think of us for your future moving needs..." speech. Too little, too late. The tip I gave was much smaller than I had planned because of their sullen attitudes. Not good customer service at all. I used JK Movers the previous week (lots to move). They were prompt, friendly and worked fast. After loading the truck, the M.A.T. Movers crew took a 10-minute smoking break! Not a good look when paying someone by the hour. Moving is stressful enough without having to deal with negative attitudes from the moving team. I will not use M.A.T, Movers again. read more

HIRE THESE MOVERS!! I absolutely loved having MAT movers help with my move. They arrived on time, were great about communication, they were fast and packed the storage unit extremely efficiently. The guys were so careful about my stuff and consulted with me on anything that came into question. They were also so friendly and put my anxiety about moving at ease. I'd highly recommend for anyone that is looking for excellent movers at a reasonable price. Moving is never easy but these guys made it a breeze! read more

M.A.T. movers was a wonderful choice during my stressful move, they arrived 10 minutes early. Got started right away, they were professional, quick and safe with my belongings. I appreciate that there were no hidden charges and anything extra I asked for was explained prior to payment. THANK YOU M.A.T. Movers for all of your help ! read more

M.A.T. helped me move my parents into one bedroom apartment in Maryland. We had a team of two young men who worked very quickly. All furniture was in the truck in 30 minutes. I asked for help with unpacking the furniture and trash removal including packing material and boxes. The guys were very friendly and did the job with care. I am very appreciative of the service I received! Needless to say the pricing was very nice too compared to other local companies. Thank you very much! read more

These guys are fantastic. They arrived early, worked quickly and did a great job not bumping anything and wrapping carefully. Very polite too. They worked efficiently and were in and out right at the 2 hour mark (which was the minimum), and that's even with moving all my furniture down 3 flights of stairs. Overall a very affordable, efficient team. read more

We used MAT Movers to move our daughter's belongings from an apartment in Germantown to a storage facility in Gaithersburg. Two gentlemen arrived on time. Both were professional, polite, clean, quick, careful and strong. Everything was loaded carefully. We are so pleased, we intend to use MAT Movers again when she finds a permanent residence. So very pleased and grateful for these movers! read more

Great and friendly service. I moved from Baltimore to Indiana. Next day delivery which was amazing. Your items don't go into a warehouse and get moved around and delivered later. Great team, highly recommend! read more

I was really impressed with this team. They moved me twice; once to a storage facility, where they very carefully assembled my boxes in order: books, art, and furniture. Everything is neatly stacked and accessible. They treated my artwork and boxes with care, and were very polite and courteous to me. As a result, I hired them a second time to move me to New York City. This move was more difficult as I had downsized from a two-bedroom house to a small one-bedroom apartment. They arrived on time and were ready to greet me in NYC. They took their time and put all the boxes in the right rooms, so I didn't have to search endlessly for my belongings. Again, there were thoughtful, courteous, and hard working. I would highly recommend them! read more

M.A.T. Movers was absolutely amazing. They arrived early and worked clean and quick. They helped me disassemble and reassemble my bed; they even hung artwork for me. They gentlemen were so polite and friendly. I was moving in the middle of this pandemic and everyday things were changing in the state. They stayed very communicative and even were able to move up my moving date with only 24hrs notice. I would definitely recommend this company! read more

Michael and Alex were great. They were responsive, they wore masks, they were polite, and they were careful with our stuff.

Great experience with M.A.T Movers. They are prompt, and willing to come when you need them. We unloaded three pods that were delivered on three separate days. We were able to be in contact with M.A.T Movers while we had Pods on the phone so we could determine when to drop the Pods off, when they could be unloaded, and when Pods would pick them up again; very smooth. M.A.T Movers were much more efficient than the movers who helped us load the Pods across the country. If you need someone to help you move, who cares about you and your stuff I highñy recommend M.A.T Movers. read more

Fantastic experience with M.A.T. Movers! They showed up right in time, offered a great price for our move out of state (4hr+ drive!), and were unbelievably efficient. Fast, reliable and on time! Everything was professionally wrapped with blankets, etc. I would definitely use them again.

M.A.T. Movers was a great choice and I would readily recommend them to anyone! They were fast, efficient, and professional, and managed to Tetris everything into the truck in one trip. Everyone worked very hard, and the entire process was finished within just a few hours. Though some of our furniture was damaged by the move, all our breakables (dishes, glassware, etc) arrived in perfect condition, and none of our boxes were damaged or misplaced. Overall I would highly recommend M.A.T. Movers to anyone looking for professional, dedicated movers in the Gaithersburg area. read more

I can't say enough good things about MAT Movers! Michael and his colleague were so efficient, professional, and friendly. My move was scheduled for 8AM and they were there right on the dot. Moving is already super stressful to begin with, but everything went so smoothly with them. I HIGHLY recommend them for your move! read more

They showed up on time, everyone wore masks for the entire move. They were very professional and proficient, and handled all my belongings with extreme care even though it required three flights of stairs. They also were flexible in picking up belongings at two separate locations with a third location as a drop off. I loved how fast they moved all of my stuff, and how reasonable their pricing was. I have moved many times over the past few years, and this company provided the best service I've seen so far. Would absolutely use again at my next move. read more

MAT Movers helped me move across the country during a pandemic. Communication was easy and straight to the point. They showed up on time for my 7am-9am slot and had everything moved into the truck and ready to go by 9 am. They were very accommodating with social distancing and wearing masks--they even helped me pack my car with some things I wanted to take with me. We drove across 4 states/8 hours and they got everything moved in for me. Very appreciative has I felt safe and taken care of. I did have one of my picture frames break but they weren't packed away like the other things. The pricing was on par with other quotes I received. What made me choose them was because they gave me a fair flat rate-- no caveats about weight or time. Given that this was already a stressful move, I appreciated that. Would recommend them. I would say, if you are someone that needs more handholding/control during a move -- just be upfront about what you need and specific details. read more
