It was everything I could ask for and more. I worked with Peter Campbell for my fitting. He was hugely knowledgeable, personable and patient. Peter wanted to know everything about my game so that he could get a clear understanding of my game and the kind of equipment that would suit my swing. The technology used to analyze each swing is state of the art and really helps to create a full picture of your swing tendencies to determine the kind of set up you'll fit best into. I love the fact that you can take the clubs onto a real driving range so that you can actually get a feel for hitting off of grass and watching each ball flight. That made all the difference, as it's tough to trust a computer sometimes :) Peter was diligent in watching each swing, ball flight and result and kept making adjustments until we found the perfect fit. The entire fitting took over 2 hours. By that time we'd gone through every combination of head and shaft and even worked on some swing thoughts to help with consistency. If you're serious about golf and want to give yourself the best opportunity to play your best (besides getting lessons) this is the only way to go! I went for the Callaway EPIC SubZero Driver. 9 degree loft with a Mitsubishi Diamana X-stiff shaft. It's as good as it gets! I just went through the full bag fitting this past weekend at TaylorMade Aviara Performance Center…read morewith my man, Ben Spector, what an awesome experience. The technology is totally impressive, from the typical Virtual hitting metrics to the 3D mapping of your swing path, to the roll of your golf ball during putting! I am a long time TaylorMade user so I was excited to try out the new SiM2 woods and irons. Ben expertly fitted me with a 1/2" longer shaft as I am 6'3" and getting older, appreciate proper spine position more than ever. He also hooked me up with a driving iron for the 4 and 3 iron as I am not a fan of utility clubs and those babies were sweet. Getting the ball up with my fairway 3wood has been a challenge so we went with a 1.5% increase in loft to really make this easy. Finally, I went with the new Spider putter with 45 degree beveled ridges on the face, great feel. Ben was great to work with. It was the fastest 3.5 hrs of my life. Before trying GOLFTEC, I went with a couple of private lessons as a complete newbie and didn't have…read morea brilliant time. The swing evaluation at GolfTEC really clicked with me though; you're provided with instant visual feedback (side view & down the line) and metrics on every swing. I walked out of there with the 3-month/10-lesson plan and it's been great fun! The swing evaulation fee was waived, and you even get a fitting thrown in for free also as part of the plan. That I enjoyed my time there is mainly down to the instructor, Don Luvsan, who's been a fantastic coach! Equal parts creative in his methodology, and patient in his delivery and reinforcement. He's a real asset to the facility and I've greatly appreciated my time under his tutelage. Thanks in no small part to Don, I've got a much more consistent swing, and I know why from all the visual feedback. In fact, I just posted my best score on a round this weekend, and have tons more confidence from any situation because we've walked through all of it during the sessions, and all the feedback and video summaries of my lessons are in the online portal if ever I need a refresher. They've got a great sale (which appears to be annual) through the month of August, so I'd encourage you to give Don a call for a swing evaluation and see if the coaching resonates with you. Mileage may vary, but with the 'Game Plan' i signed up for, you get to practice at the facility 3 times a week outside of your usual lesson. When things were quiet, Don was always happy to poke his head in to check on me and work through some sticking points. All that's left is the fitting. Looking forward to it, and I'll be booking in with Don again after I've developed a few bad habits on the course.

If I had to rank the top ten golf shots I've hit in my playing career, I would say they all came on days two and three of this golf school. It has made that much of a difference in my game. I plan to make an annual return visit as my game progresses.

Despite a lot of practice and a few lessons from different pros I was unable to get my old clubhead speed and accuracy back. Although I am 68 I maintain my fitness and my flexibility and strength are little different from 10 years ago. My first lesson with Brian was last month. I had some trepidation about having a lesson without seeing the ball flight on a range. However I greatly appreciated the fact that the lesson was completely private on his property, which made things much more personal than on a public driving range. His equipment and observations told me how I was striking the ball quite accurately and he made salient observations of my grip, set up and swing path that none of the other pros I have seen picked up on. After the lesson I returned to the range, and later the golf course, and I saw immediate improvements, which further improved with more practice. My weak fades were now gone! In fact I found myself overclubbing myself based upon previous expectations. I found that I could take one club less and still hit the greens. This is all after just one lesson! For those of you who have taken lessons from many different pros, as I have, you can really see the difference with Brian's lessons, of course combined with practice. He works with your physical capabilities rather than trying to teach you "his swing," as other pros have attempted unsuccessfully with me.
