A couple of interesting uphill holes sure to test any golfer at any level. Managed by JC Golf, the course was a great condition considering how many golfers go through it a given day. Definitely put it on your list if you haven't played Encinitas yet as it offers wonderful ocean views and unique holes.

I hate to give this course a one star, but here is my unfortunate experience…read more Summary: Encinitas Ranch is a decent course with friendly staff, but allows for unacceptable, dangerous, behavior from residents. Long story long: I love Encinitas ranch. It is one of my favorite courses in San Diego. Unfortunately, we were playing today. We were a foursome(two girls and two guys). The girls are absolute sticks--they regularly shoot under 80 and even near par. I myself was 2 over thru 7. We were playing ready golf, keeping up with the group in front of us(even waiting here and there), we were not marking short putts, and not doing anything egregious whatsoever. On hole 7, some guys hit straight into us on the green while we were walking off, clearly on purpose. The ball came in scorching and landed 5 feet from one of the ladies. I picked up their ball because that is what you do when people hit at you with no fore call. Upon picking up the ball, one of the guys started screaming at me and the other guy in my group saying they are gonna fuck us up and that there's 4 of them and 2 of us.(Implying they're going to gang stomp us.) They proceeded to scream put the ball back. Tough guys wanted to start a fight in front of the ladies, I guess? Bro, I'm out here to golf and have a good time. I have too many head injuries from my time in the military, from boxing and wrestling d1 in college. As bad as I wanted to fucking throw those guys off a cliff, we did the mature thing and tossed the ball back out on the fringe near where they hit it. They screamed at us that they were gonna hit into us the rest of the round. We proceeded to call the pro-shop and inform them of the situation. We also notified the Marshall. The Marshall went and had a 10 second conversation with them, and what do you know? They do it again on hole 9. I had already putted out, and was in the pro-shop while my group finished when one of the females came in to inform us that they had just hit into us again. Mind you, I saw a dude pick up his ball from OB while I was standing over a birdie putt. These guys were not even good players, and this is completely unacceptable. While the staff did seem concerned, and said they would have another word with them, I overheard that they were residents of Encinitas. Must be some hot shots or somebody important? I have no clue. Doesn't matter to me. Their behavior was childish, and they deserved to be removed from the course and warned. If they do something like this again(which I'm sure they will since they had no repercussions), they should be banned. Ultimately, I was able to get a refund for the round, and quit after 9 holes. I am grateful for the kind staff, but sorely disappointed that Encinitas Ranch tolerates this kind of toxic and dangerous behavior. People underestimate what a golf ball can do to someone's skull. It is not funny to hit at people. Rolling it up is one thing, smoking it at people's heads is another thing. I will not be back to this course, and for anyone considering playing, know that Encinitas Ranch Golf Course does not take your safety seriously. They allow their residents to have this way. Maybe, you will get to play here without experiencing anything like this, but this is my unfortunate last experience there. Absolutely unacceptable to allow violent gangsters on your course.

From day one, she made us feel so confident, cared for, and completely at ease. Maddy (Megan's assistant) was just as incredible -- the two of them together are an absolute dream team. Even when we sadly got rained in, Megan and Maddy went above and beyond to create the most beautiful, graceful indoor setup. We completely forgot about the weather because everything inside was so stunning. The food was incredible, the communication was seamless, and every detail felt next level. On top of that, we had to make some last-minute modifications due to my dad's health, which understandably brought a lot of stress and big emotions. Megan and Maddy handled everything with such grace, compassion, and understanding. The way they supported us during that time is something we will truly never forget. We are beyond grateful for Megan, Maddy, and the entire team at The Crossings. They made our wedding day feel effortless, deeply personal, and unforgettable. We could not recommend them more.

Was in there a solid hour just checking everything out. I later returned and worked with Michael on a full fitting because I was looking to move into graphite shafts due to hand discomfort in my current irons. He did a great job taking that into account and walking me through different club and shaft combinations. What impressed me was that he was also noticing things in my swing and giving me pointers along the way that were immediately helping me make better contact. I ended up with a fully fitted setup I'm excited about, and I learned quite a bit during the process too. Definitely found my new go-to golf shop. Thanks Michael!

But they suggested getting a used replacement which was newer than 25 years old and better technology! One of the staff helped find one that was closest to my old club, Taylor Made 54 degree. Cost only $50 which was much cheaper than a reshaft. They even offered to take it back if I didn't like it. Loved the new club and worked great but is now my 90 yard club...old age you know.

My hubby and I are hooked; we're loyal regulars at this point. Greens: 5/5 The greens are well-maintained overall. A couple of tee boxes (hole #2 and #13 on the white tees) don't grow grass, but for the price, the course is in pretty good shape. Tee times cost about $30 on weekdays, $25 at twilight, and $35 on weekends. It's a fun course that's perfect for beginning golfers and a great spot for more advanced players to practice their irons. Parking: 5/5 There's a private lot with plenty of street parking available as well. Atmosphere: 5/5 The course wraps around a series of charming homes in Lakehouse, adding to its delightful and well-kept appeal. Staff: 5/5 Fantastic! The staff here is incredibly helpful and friendly. A special shoutout to Mikey for his outstanding customer service!

The men behind us hit into us, shouted at us, taunted us & then lost it screaming at the course employee who asked them to behave better. They bragged that they didn't get kicked off the course. They were mad at the pace of play but it was backed up for several holes so we were waiting on the people in front of us. They hit into us dangerously & laughed & then yelled calling us babies for asking them to stop hitting into us. Mostly we've had good experiences the last few years but more & more there has been people hitting into groups in front (& not yelling 4) & aggressive abusive behavior to us & others. When it's reported nothing has been done but today was really awful & Eric says management has no obligation to enforce better (or even safe) behavior. It seems like the bad behavior is mostly directed at women & groups that include women. The course is maintained at a mediocre level and they are often running the lawnmowers during play (which can slow down play) but it's a nice course ruined by increasing bullies who know they can be rude, dangerous & inappropriate & not have consequences.
