If you are an avid golfer, you will know who Scotty Cameron is. My clients were staying at Torrey Pines Hilton and requested me to take them to Encinitas. Glad I did. Staff are very helpful and friendly. They know exactly what you're looking for by watching you try some stock putters in the store. Staff are all "golf professionals" themselves. My clients were so impressed and listened to each member of the staff's recommendations. Of course, final decision is made by each player, but you get so much advice just by visiting the store and making an intent to purchase one. Five out of eight of my clients did just that. They came all the way from Japan to visit this store! Coming to this store was an added value for my golf enthusiasts clients. This is Scotty Cameron's ONLY store. The putters are all made here. Best in its class! To the Staff: Thank you! read more

The absolute best in milled putters! I've been playing Scotty Cameron gear for over two decades, and, quite truthfully, they are the best quality, worth every dollar and a value on the dollar. Not the kind of putter that needs to be replaced every other year or so. From traditional off-sets, to weighted; the selection is huge! Accessories are top shelf too. Cameron uses excellent high quality raw materials - you cannot go wrong. Buy from his website or visit the store. Do not buy the overpriced gear on eBay where price-gougers will take you. Been wanting to visit the Scotty Cameron store for months to get a new grip for my putter. Friends have told me they install the grips onsite. The store opens at 10am on Saturdays and I got there a quarter past 10. There was a waitlist to get in and it took about 35-40 min. Walked into the store greeted by a sale associate who pointed location of the grips and walk away. I believe he was supposed to show me around and help out with my needs, but disappeared. I ended up getting a grip and a head cover. They mentioned earlier that they wouldn't be able to install my grip which was disappointing because I had to make a trip to another store to install my grip. read more

Made my annual visit to The Gallery for a restock of Scotty Cameron gear. The staff was on top of their game and very accommodating. I was there later in the day so some items had been picked over but I wasn't really looking for a MOTO putter. I did find some nice things that are not available through the online store so left feeling good about my visit! read more

Love this place. On my path to the vault which I now am eligible for! Bought moto, waited a year, bought CT, next visit vault access to GSS's and Hand-stamped putters. Awesome selection of bags, HCs, apparel, grips, bag tags, ball markers and glassware. Us people who are on the CT path and vault access do show up extremely early as you'll have full selection of generally 8 CTs. I arrived at 815am and was second in line. Please get there early, coffee and donut shop next door. Enjoy! read more

Pretty nice shop with Scotty Cameron gear. It does get busy so be sure to get in early before it closes. There's quite a selection of putter head covers. The staff was helpful in letting me know the layout and options. If you're definitely wanting a custom Scotty Cameron putter, this is definitely the place. read more

Been going there three times a month and never gotten a chance to pick the type of tour putter I wish for.

Cool spot if you are into Golf. The store is small but it sounds like they completely flip their inventory every month or so, so everything in the store is new and different. I really like the concept, and if you are a golfer or collector then you'll be in heaven. We've also been to the location in Japan a couple of times, but that one is extremely difficult (and expensive) to get to (long train, then long taxi). I came right at 10AM and there was already a line of folks but I don't think the line was warranted as there wasn't that much people. Also did not appreciate getting skipped to be let in, but besides that the staff inside were really nice and helpful. They give you a sheet and golf pencil to pre-mark the items you'd want, while you're waiting, but I think it's better just to go inside and pick (but note that apparently not everything inside is for sale, some are only for display). read more

Horrible service! I would say the gallery is a high end type of golf boutique that sells nice equipment, gear and clothing. However since Covid they continue to let customers wait outside and basically take a number. We'll get to you when we get to you. I have also noticed that the Scotty annual membership is not appealing anymore. They must have let go their headcover designer/s because for the last couple of years they have not produced the exclusive, beautiful headcovers that they used to offer. Sorry for providing my honest opinion. I hope that someday they let their loyal customers enter the shop, just like they did before Covid. read more

The shop is closed to customers because they are turning it into a museum, displaying memorabilia, thus no customers are allowed inside except for those who have an appointment. Nowhere on their website stated that. Whatever they are selling in store are displayed at the front around the shop. Pick up a piece of order paper and pencil at the front, walk a round outside the store, and put your choice on the order paper. The order paper wasn't done smartly, and lack of info. Not the best way to shop for sure. read more

If you're a Scotty Cameron fan, this place is a must-visit! Walking into the Scotty Cameron Golf Gallery feels like stepping into putter heaven. The shop is beautifully designed, showcasing some of the most hard-to-find Scotty Cameron collector's items, from limited-edition putters to exclusive headcovers and accessories. It's a dream spot for collectors and enthusiasts alike, and if you're lucky, you might even score a rare gem to add to your bag. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that prices are definitely on the premium side, and stock can be limited, so you never know what will be available. That said, for any true Scotty fan, just being here is an experience in itself. read more

I've spent thousands of dollars at this "gallery" over the years, live out of state, was close by and drove 100 miles to buy something. Guess what.. Consumers are no longer allowed inside. What's even more alarming for is how arrogant Scotty's employees. WOW what a change and your new "post Covid" consumer processing sucks. All golf fans-- Don't waste your time here. Now I'll never buy another Snotty Cameron after your arrogant pukes went to this model. Maybe you should reimburse me the $38 I spent on gas. The Ping putter will be going back in the bag too after today. Might be time to sell off my racks of Cameron collectibles too. Good job! I'm sure the social media guy from Scotty C will be on here giving the standard answers, defending their arrogance. I'm sure you don't care that one person wasted hours coming here to "window shop" but rest assured I will share this story with every golfer who has a Snotty Cameron in the bag. read more

Was in La Jolla between Christmas and New Year's and decided to swing by. It was my first time there and had heard stories about the wait. Hours were limited because of the holiday week. They opened at 10:00 and I arrived around 11:45. They have a check in system and will message you when it's your turn. They give you about 5 minutes to check in once they message you, so you have to stay close by. I was 40th on the list and was told I'd likely get in around 3:00. Decided to chance it as they are closed an hour for lunch. Grabbed lunch and came back around 2:00 to find out I was now 10th. It's common for people to check in and no show. I ended up getting in around 2:30. The gentleman greeting everyone at the door was amazingly helpful. Was allowed to browse the entire store without feeling like someone was hovering over me. They also had plenty of MOTO putters available for purchase. Great experience. I'd highly recommend. Definitely will be back, but closer to opening the next time. read more

Wanted to go check out the gallery as an avid golfer and fan of the sport. You have to "window shop" and get on a waiting list. When I went inside to get "help" or find out what the store was all about, was totally given the impression we were wasting the employees time. "We are an international shopping destination and people wait in line for hours to shop here." Puke. They're putters for crying out loud. The people working in the store did not make them but sure did behave like they created them. Did not feel welcomed. Was planning on buying some wearables but after we were treated like second class citizens decided to spend my money on the Taylor made online store. Really disappointed. Wouldn't waste your time. read more

Scotty-Fanatics should come visit, but with any Scotty putter comes a hefty price tag. Most of the items in the gallery are expensive. We know that. If you're using the Ferrari of putters, things will be expensive. The gallery has tons of speciality and limited edition head covers for your mallet, blade, mid-mallet Scotty's. Most of them price at $75+ though. So yes, expensive but limited edition. I missed out of their donkey limited edition head cover. :( The gallery also has apparel, caps, golf towels ($29 for golf towels), limited edition Scotty putters ($600 to $1000), and they have a full on fitting area. If you bring in your putter, they can change out of your grip and weights as well. $37 for a new grip installed and the weights are like $20-22 a piece! Ouch! I've gotten two head covers from the gallery for my Fastback 2 and my Futura 5S. Also got my Fastback 2 grip changed out. It's expensive stuff but if you're a fan, it's worth a stop in. The young lady working in house is super cool. I think she's the only gal in there working and helping out. Free parking, no freebies, credit card okay. AND NO PICTURES inside which sucks because you can't share the head cover pics with friends. I also like in LA so I don't travel down too often. My brother who lives in Vista drops in and buys stuff for me. Please don't give him a hard time, he doesn't look like a golfer!! We do spend the $ though! LOL! read more

I made the stop to the golf gallery on a Saturday morning and was greeted by a team member who explained the process of literally window shopping of things the gallery has for sale besides putter fittings. I did walk around the outside and found several items that a Scotty Cameron fan or golf fan would like. Once done I was invited to go inside and purchase anything I saw along with seeing putter head covers that were not in the window. Inside I was not disturbed unless I asked for help and that was really nice. The items I wanted were on display and seeing a wall of head covers was fun. In all my experience was pleasant and had an enjoyable experience all be it not what I was expecting but the staff I dealt with were all friendly and helpful. read more

Hello Scotty. Why can't people go into your store? Is it a safety issue due to Covid? Did you know your employees were out front with no masks on talking with customers not wearing masks? Does this make any sense to you? Did you see that even China has opened up and the Scotty Cameron store is the last hold out on planet earth that I am aware of? Wouldn't you agree that Encinitas is out of the way for almost everyone? Do you realize that most people visiting your store are on vacation in S. CA and spending several hours to make the trip? Is this how you get your kicks Scotty? Do you enjoy our confused and disappointed faces as we walk around the outside of your store looking at that day's meager offerings? Did you giggle when I was somewhat excited looking at a hoodie only to then look down at my order form and realize it was only available in a small? Do you hate us? Do you think offering one of the few clothing items in a small is really a legitimate offering? What percentage of people do you think wear a small? Is having only one fairly ugly t shirt only available in small or medium up to your standards? How much effort goes into this window shopping model you have been running for over two years? Is this just a way to sell through unpopular items and sizes by hoping your fans feel they MUST make a purchase after going so out of the way to visit your store? Wouldn't it be considerate to post online what you are going to offer each day in your windows ahead of time? If so, many people do you think would actually show up? As someone who depends so much on loyalty it it wise having your name associated with such a strange and miserable shopping experience? Have you noticed the other companies copying your high end putter and limited edition merchandise model? Do you think that while not up to your level they are starting to figure it out? Do you care? Shouldn't you open up the store and fill it with products we can buy? Wouldn't it also be correct to apologize to your fans and customers who have been treated so poorly over the last few years? Is there somehow you can make it up to us? Do you think of your customer/fans as rubes? Did you know you deserve zero stars but Yelp makes me give you at least one? Was that your white Lamborghini parked out front? read more

I flew out to San Diego a few weeks ago for great golf and shopping at the gallery. What an amazing experience. I got way more than I deserved. The staff was amazing to work with. They had plenty of product in the windows and before checking out I was able to go inside and check out the amazing displays they have. It's like walking into a museum. I've been collecting Scotty Cameron product since 1996 and in all the years this was the icing on the cake. I went home with the putter I wanted and a few other cool items to game. Thanks again to the Gallery staff. You're second to none!! Well done! read more

Horrible customer service - purchased a shirt, arrived yesterday - Jan 16th, 2025 - it was too big for me, compared to other "L" size shirts. So we landed in San Diego today from Cleveland OH. Never been to California before and not quite sure when I will ever be back. So as a 0.4 handicap it was a must to stop at the store. I literally talked about it for the past few weeks with my wife. Super stoked. I have a custom SC GoLo 5r. So wanted a new cover and some gear to go along with it. Been working a lot of over time at the Fire Dept. saving my pennies. Couch pennies especially. We get to Encinitas at 1:30 right when they reopen and I see this. Wait. What? Nah. Can't happen. So I get on here. Read some Google reviews. It's happened before. Multiple times. How can a world wide company that is as big of a name as Scotty. Who literally has 2 stores, only one in the US at that and an "IT issue" shuts it down? Come on. I am severely disappointed. read more

They claim to be a "gallery" but customers aren't allowed inside the shop to look at the putters firsthand. Instead, you must peer through the glass window and fill out an order sheet that feels more suitable for a sushi restaurant than a golf store. Is this a joke? Scotty Cameron needs to adopt a more humble approach. After all, they are manufacturing golf putters, not Basquiat. This approach doesn't attract and retain customers; it alienates them. I was ready to spend over $500 on a new putter, but this experience has driven me to look elsewhere. Scotty, if you value your customers, please take note of the similar complaints in other reviews. In a competitive field like golf, there's no room for snobbish behavior. Do better. read more

We couldn't go in the store. 7 guys came out at 10am. They provide an order sheet like at a sushi restaurant. People line up. They don't have anything you can buy. They don't even have their stock putters. That place is a joke that has absolutely ZERO soul and has no heart in its manufacturing and process. They don't give a fu** about golf or providing anything to the people who use their tools for their intended purpose. They've realized that certain people are making more money on their putters than they are so they then treat everybody as if everybody is reselling. It's absolutely terrible business and a terrible customer experience. Scotty Cameron should be ashamed to have his name associated with this shop. If he were dead he'd be rolling in his grave but instead he doesn't care because he's rolling in the dough. Shame on you Scotty Cameron. Shame on you. read more

I had been struggling a bit with my putting after a long layoff and wanted to get a fitting to check if something was off with my setup or technique. I was able to schedule a fitting at the Scotty Cameron Gallery pretty easily online and had a great experience with my fitter Michael. We talked through my current putter, what I'm feeling with current putting performance, and then started hitting some putts on the slow mo camera to see what was going on. It was very apparent my current fit was too long causing the toe to be way upright. After moving to the correct length I was able to try all the variety of putters currently offered along with all the grip options and Michael pointed out a slight technique adjustment to get my forearms more aligned which helped immensely. We narrowed it down and got my specs and preferences identified. They do have some putters available onsite and I was presented 4 that could fit my specs and picked out an amazing moto Newport with single site dot. While waiting for some grip adjustment on the putter, I was able to shop around the store and every other associate was super friendly and helpful if I had any questions. Was a great customized experience and definitely recommend to anyone interested in getting fit. read more
