Four stars for TaylorMade Golf. I'm a fan. When I first started playing golf, throughout the 90s and into the mid 2000s, I was a Callaway man. Every club in my bag, from driver to putter, was Callaway. Then, when the USGA limited the size of driver heads to 460cc, I decided to buy a new driver. I went to my local PGA Tour Superstores and demoed a bunch of them. I tried them out on simulators and recorded my stats (e.g. ball spin, club head speed, distance, launch angle, and of course, accuracy). I also checked the clubs out and took them with me to the range. I had multiple demo sessions between two PGA Tour Superstore locations and the range. This was a big investment decision for me, especially since these drivers cost hundreds of dollars each. Brands I tested included Adams, Callaway, Cleveland, Cobra, TaylorMade, and Titleist. After extensive testing, the driver that came out on top for me and my swing was the TaylorMade Burner. I still use the driver to this day with relatively consistent results. I've been very happy with it. It's got a stock regular flex Fujikura graphite shaft and I've had the grip replaced with the tried and true Golf Pride Tour Velvet grip (it's on all my clubs but the putter). Other TaylorMade products I've regularly used include golf balls and golf gloves. I really liked playing the TaylorMade TP Reds before they stopped making them. They felt great. Recently, I've been going through boxes of TaylorMade Dad-isms golf balls. They're more of a gift than a "serious" competition ball. My dad found them on sale/clearance at his local sports store/golf shop. At my skill level, they work just as well as, if not better than, the old TP Reds I used to play. As for gloves, I currently have a small collection of TaylorMade Tour Preferred and Stratus gloves that will last me for years. Again, my dad found many on sale/clearance, this time, at the Golf Galaxy (IIRC) on Hilton Head Island. The gloves feel great. They fit well, are smooth and comfortable, and help give me a good grip on every single one of my clubs. I prefer the Tour Preferred gloves because each one comes with a roughly quarter-size magnetic ball marker on top of the velcro flap; not one of those tiny snap-in button ball markers. Dustin Johnson supposedly wore the same glove (either the Tour Preferred or Stratus, I'm not sure). At the time of writing this review, TaylorMade has a star-studded lineup of PGA Tour players that it sponsors including Tiger Woods, Dustin Johnson, Jason Day, Collin Morikawa, Jon Rahm, Matthew Wolff, Rickie Fowler, and Rory McIlroy. Currently, TaylorMade's most expensive product is the SIM Driver with an MSRP of $549.99. "SIM" stands for Speed in Motion, a "reshaped" driver with a "speed-injected" "Twist Face," among many other features that have been marketed and hyped up. Twist Face has always sounded gimmicky to me, but admittedly, I haven't tried out the relatively new technology yet. Regardless, TaylorMade is one of the pillar golf brands of today and in my experience, they produce solid clubs and accessories. I recommend their products to casual golfers. read more

When you buy clubs 2 years ago you don't expect your iron heads to be coming off. This is the second time this has happened and now they want to take my SIM irons for 2 weeks so I can't play any golf. Again, this is a warranty claim and they want to take the clubs for 2 weeks and that's bs. I will never use taylormade again because they don't think about the customer for nothing. Their warranty page on their website was down for the longest time and is I pay our of pocket to get them fixed again they will send me 2 dozen tp5 balls to cover the cost. That's not covering the cost cause I'm still paying balls I don't need then. They should replace the irons if it's happened twice imo. Or send a loaner set for me to play with. Thanks read more

I cannot say enough great things about the TaylorMade service experience I just went through - top tier service. I was really dreading going through the warranty process for my new Stealth Driver and my expectations were blown out of the water. I filed a claim and followed up on it with a quick call. Tyler H took my call and walked me through what their process was. I let him know that I was kind of in a pinch because I am leaving for a golf trip and need the driver to be delivered before then, if possivble at all. Tyler heard me out, picked my claim out and did what he had to do. Literally less than a day later, I received an email stating the new club will be here in two days. Unbelievable. He then followed up with me about the claim and made sure everything was good. I called the 800-888-2582 during their business hours, but was connected to their international sales dept. who then immediately transferred me to their e-commerce dept. Ordered a new set of SIM2's on 2/15 and was given an initial ship date of 3/8. Fellt that was reasonable considering all thnigs COVID, and some of the feature were custom such as Lie and shaft length adjustments. Kept checking order status and noticed that the charge was not applied to my account (PAYPAL) so decided to call today, 3/5, asking for an approximate ship date, and was told they're in production, and will mostly ship by 3/31! Almost a full month past. Not. I get the industry and demand is hot right now, and COVID is jacking with shipping logistics, but at least rpvide an update on my order status.. not to hard I would think. read more

I have been playing Taylormade products for almost 12+ years and I'm a Taylormade Fanatic, but unfortunatly the Customer Service I got from then the last 3 days is Horrible and this was the first time i Ever contacted them for Warranty stuff. The Chrome area on the Face on My P790 irons are peeling on 3 different irons and after open an Warranty Claim and sending over pictures. They are telling me its normal wear. But taking it to Golf Galaxy and a Local golf shop, both places told me that it's not Normal wear, its a defect and they are seeing it more and more on some of the golf irons. This is so dissapointing that they are not standing bying there Products. And this whole things left a bitter taste with me. The shipping for this website is misleading! Beware if you ever select 2nd day Fedex. I ordered a driver for my husband's birthday on Feb 11, 2022 and since I was so late in ordering, I was happy to see that there was a 2 day Fedex shipping option for an additional $18. On the 15th, my husband's birthday, the item never arrived and it still said pending. I called on the 16th and the person I spoke to said, it is 2 day shipping AFTER it is received at Fedex!!! WHAT?? That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard!!! Any sane person would think they were paying extra to get there item in 2 DAYS!!! A close friend of ours that works for Taylor Made, gave us a friends and family coupon at their company store this past weekend. It was only valid from 9-4pm on Saturday and gave us a 40% discount on all in stock merchandise. We arrived at 9am but the line was several hundred people deep and they were only allowing a few people in at a time. By 10am, we realized we weren't making any progress in the line so we decided to leave. We were pretty bummed. Later that day, we decided to pop in again after lunch and was lucky enough to walk right on in. I was looking for a 3 wood for my Dad and wanted to take a look at their clothes and shoes for myself and the hubby. Unfortunately, I found out from the sales guy that they ran out of the 3 wood 30 minutes after they opened their doors so even if we waited, we wouldn't have gotten what we came in for. Good thing we didn't wait. I wish that Taylor Made would've given us the opportunity to order them or honor the 40% discount even though they were out of stock. I think it would've been a better option for everyone since it seemed as if there were several others that were looking for other clubs they were out of stock of. We still managed to find several golf jackets and shirts for really great prices. Some of them were marked down 20% and we received an additional 40% off. I'm bummed that we didn't get my Dad's club for him but I suppose they next time we do this, we'll make sure to arrive earlier to secure a better spot in line. read more

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! I have been a Taylor Made customer since the early 90s. I have owned at least 4 sets (3 new and 1 used) of irons and 6 Drivers over the years. I purchased the new M2 irons and had them fitted. When the clubs arrived I found I could not play them. They were awful!!!! I did not like the way they felt when I hit them, they felt like I was hitting a rock with an aluminum baseball bat. The sound on a solid shot was hollow and weird. I did not even like the way the set up looked at address. The whole experience was bad. I played them 4 times and just could not figure them out. While my retailer was trying to figure out what to do for me (they have taken care of me I will write a glowing review for them next) I called Taylor Made to see what the options were given these were custom. This is the complaint. The customer service rep I was dealing with was a complete condescending ASS!!! He basically told me that it was my fault that I bought clubs that I could not hit and I basically was an idiot and did not know what I was doing. He told me there nothing that Taylor Made would do for me and that I was stuck with a product that I could not use. I work for a large brand in a specialty industry. We make custom items for customers all the time. If a customer is unhappy with our product custom or not we take care of him/her. We may charge a re-stocking fee or something but we will bend over backwards to make our customers happy. That's how you keep them! Now I am trying to not let the actions of one employee shatter my loyalty to a company that I have been a customer of for almost 25 years. But I have to say I am sorely disappointed and most likely never even wear a Taylor Made hat. read more

Just bought a new set of Taylormade 790 irons to play in a game. Turned in my old Callaways, got home and checked the Taylormade for spec. All irons were C-7 not D-0 as indicated in spec. I called Taylormade and got nothing but BS. All our irons are checked before going out. Ya right. Was told to take them back to store or send them in. Can't play because I don/t have any clubs. Not going to wait for weeks on Taylormade. Will buy something to play with. read more

Decent range and 9 hole course. I believe it use to be owned previously by Callaway. The driving rage is two tiered and the range is mostly dirt with a couple of green islands. There is also a merchandise store and a bar attached. I wish the place had some limited edition Taylormade Experience gear. read more

Unfortunately, I broke my Speed Blade PW on a poor swing. I broke it at the hossle and the clubhead flew into the fairway-side lake. Honest situation and I called customer service to get a replacement. I spoke with Marcus Labastida. He was great! He had a great attitude and completely satisfied my needs. Went to the family and friends event where everything was 40% off! I suggest coming early, because the line was 2.5 hours long just an hour after they opened. They also may run out of items - this time it was a few iron sets, certain shoe sizes, and polo shirts. On a normal day, this store is for employees only. Multiple M2 drivers and 3 woods purchased from these guys are defective and faces crack or completely cave in. The best they want to offer is a 20% discount on a new club because the warranty period has passed. I found this to be a transparent attempt to have golfers buy more (probably defective) equipment rather than standing by their manufacturing. My trusty SLDR has survived for many years with no issues, but all M2 series of clubs I have purchased have ended up failing in the line of duty after barely a couple of seasons. I'll be switching things up and look for a company that stands by their product and wants to build something that will last. read more

They call this place the Kingdom, and for good reason. This is the head quarters and warehouse facility including assembly for Taylor Made group, Adidas Golf, Ashworth etc. There is a nice showroom also at this location which is not open to the public. I love Taylormade equipment. I've been a fan for over 10 years and am always impressed by the way the company pushes the limits on what can be done with design and performance. On the customer experience side, not a fan. I have on order a set of P790's. When I ordered them online on 10/22, the ship date given was 11/15. I called in today, on 11/15, for status of my order and was told that avail ship date is 12/4. Needless to say that my expectations, set because of information Taylormade had listed, will not be met. So, if I want the irons, i'll just wait. It is what it is. The thing that bugged me is that I was told to call back next week to see if anything changed. To me, Taylormade should be offering to contact me with updates on shipping their product instead of having the customer make calls to find out the status of their order fulfillment. A company as sophisticated as Taylormade, with all the advances in golf technology, pushing the envelope on club design, and setting the standard for golf equipment performance, should be able to set up a simple email alert for all it's customers to let them know the status of orders that were promised on a specific date, and now will be late. I think not a big ask. Fortunately Taylormade makes fantastic products.But great products shouldn't be an excuse for less than a fantastic customer experience. read more

My husband found out that Taylor Made offered tours of their facility so we randomly drove to the factory and found out that they only gave tours every Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10am and you must book 1 week in advance. Wish we knew that before driving to Carlsbad, but I guess we could have called first. Anyway, today we took the tour and it was only us. I thought that because we needed to call a week in advance that there was a high interest in this tour. Our tour guide was Ryan and he was awesome! Very enthusiastic and loves golf. We saw their customer service/finance/ staff pro area, manufacturing floor, customized golf club area, and like a Disneyland ride, we ended at their company store. My husband wished we got to see the Kingdom but I can understand why they don't include it in their tour. Overall my husband enjoyed the tour and I learned more about golf than I can remember. read more

Dont count on this company to help you out if someone decides to go shopping with your credit card. Someone stole my account information and went on a $1000 shopping spree in 1 day. The thief purchased golf shoes online, I caught in the same day and when I called Taylor Made Golf they didn't stop the order, they told me just to contact my bank.?? Really....they said there's nothing they can do. I couldnt get someone to call me back either, only emails every few days, it's been 2 weeks and I still have not gotten my money back. OK, I do love Taylor Made clubs. Got everything from the R9 to R11 to the R15s and the RocketBlades and just got a set of M2 irons from the custom shop I love. But a question? Where is the new Custom Shop? It has been moved from Carlsbad to Mexico but I am wondering where. I ordered a couple of very custom clubs on Saturday (Monday was a Holiday) and they arrived at my home on Thursday. Now I am close to Carlsbad, but assembling clubs in Mexico and getting to me by the 3rd business day is a new best experience. The rest of my M2 set I got about a month ago and those were assembled in Carlsbad so the move was very recent. Still components are made in China but now the clubs show assembled in Mexico. Still great clubs. Hopefully the sale happens smoothly and the new owner keeps the company at the top of the heap as it is now. read more

Well this was made right by the previous owner of the Carlsbad, TMPL who called me directly once he saw this review. My wife got her fitting in his still owned Palm Desert location. We luckily were staying a few days there to play some golf and they were able to work us in. It ended up being a wonderful experience for my wife, she was treated very well, the fitter was patient, and the fitting was very professionally done. While the experience started badly it ended well and was saved by some well done customer service. I won't prepay in for a GC in the future but I would use the TMPL for a fitting again. read more
