1. This company charges top notch prices for mediocre build quality 2. They replicate already known and trusted products and copy them in their designs (Haley Strategic Heavy Chest Rig, Spiritus Systems MK5 placard) If you don't believe me just look at their website 3. The build quality is no better than the chinese nylon companies you see on amazon 4. They prey on young Marines to buy their so called "USA made" gear and even try to provide incentives like providing a free chinisium knife. Bottom line: Don't buy from this company. Sure they might manufacture their products in the USA but it is nowhere near the quality compared to (Ferro Concepts, Haley Strategic, Spiritus Systems, Blue Force Gear) just to name a few. The funny thing is that they are pricing more than the top notch manufacturers I just mentioned. By buying from this company, you are paying for premium prices, and getting a mediocre product. Take the time and actually research what gear you are buying. BDS tactical is no better than amazon gear. Genuinely the worst place. Worst customer service I ever experienced. With that said, the gear feels good and is high quality. BUT IT TOOK 5 MONTHS TO GET(orded it on 4/12/20 received it 9/14/20). 2 weeks ago they said that it was supposed to be shipped out. Never heard anything from them. And after a couple of emails back and forth they finally said that it was on the line ready to ship. If thats the case why didn't it get shipped when my equipment was ready? It seems like they hold your equipment hostage until you complain or want a refund. Tori is absolutely Amazing!! I have ordered a ton of gear from these folks over the years. 2 plate carrier set ups, 2 Battle belts & other odds & ends. Whenever I Needed the gear ASAP, they got it to me. I also have 2 K-9 dogs that Tori has helped create pouches for their harnesses.(On her own time). How many other Companies do this??? Whenever I need something changed or fixed, she made sure it was correct & expedient. We work with Teams from around the World, they LOVE Our gear. I know they have placed orders as well. Yes, sometimes they don't answer the phone. However, I leave an email &/or my number & somebody has always returned my call within 24 hours. These folks work, if they were sitting around doing nothing, then they'd probably answer the phone. Instead they are trying to get the Best gear to Our people in Harm's Way & on the Streets here in the USA. Their gear is made by Veterans, for Veterans, with American material & products. I have been buying gear from this company for many, many, years. I have never, ever, been let down. I was a former member of a US Marine FAST team. I served 14 years in the Infantry; total. I still travel the world and I am in and out of jungle areas all the time. The gear is better than mil-spec and I have never had one piece of gear fail me while in or out of the field. My brother is in Baghdad now and I was able to order gear in a flash and have it shipped with no problems. I also have locations set up with duplicate sets of gear just in case I get stuck in one location. Each location has unique requirements and I have custom designed my gear from BDS accordingly. I love that option!!! It seems the only negative reviews on this companies profile are from civilians with no understanding of gear......& having spent thousands of dollars over a 6 year period with this company I have never had one problem. They were really tricky over my orders, many red flags were raised, the whole experience was an anomally from anything else ive bought online and ive been buying this kind of stuff for years. ultimately i had to go to the bank to get my faulty order refunded because after 4 attempts over several weeks i couldnt get them to refund my money. It was always "gotta ask my manager first" I made it real simple. CANCEL ALL ORDERS PLEASE and i went to my credit card company and had them actually refund me. Extremely difficult to get ahold of anyone at the facility. Gave up after numerous attempts. I'm not going to spend any money if they won't even answer the phone after 25 attempts at various extensions. What if I'm sent a faulty order, missing items, wrong sizes, etc. It's not worth the trouble and I'm going to search elsewhere. read more

Terrible customer service. All the information they gave me was either wrong or conflicting. Took over 6 months to get. I was told 10-14 week lead time I was fine with. But after numerous emails that changed from 10-14 weeks to now still waiting at 26 weeks. They offered nothing because of this. And it's appalling. This is why new companies are doing better.
