This is cool place to check out no matter your interests (guns, paintball, airsoft, survival, etc). These guys make excellent tactical wear and I particularly like their durable yet thin gloves. I ordered a tactical fleece online during the pandemic because I really needed it and wanted to support small business . The fleece arrived damaged. The elastic on one sleeve cuff was damaged right out of the packaging. The result is the sleeve fits much looser than the other and is unwearable. The picture I sent customer service reflects this. I emailed 5.11 a picture of the problem NOTHING....NO RESPONSE. I called and spoke to corporate for someone to send me a return label by mail. SORRY but I don't own a printer and PANDEMIC means LOCKDOWN as in nothing is open. The lady on the phone said too bad ! So being a customer for 20+ years and buying damaged goods turns into TOO BAD ? That really is too bad that 5.11 can't do a customer of 20yrs a favor by sending me a return label for damaged goods. TOO BAD you just lost a customer YOUR FAULT not mine. Have been a loyal customer and spent thousands. I bought a tee-shirt along with the boots and pants, I asked the clerk if the tee-shirt would shrink much. She replied not much if any. Well after washing it, it shrank considerably, I returned it to the store where the manager said the tags where removed so could not give me the next size up. She even went and compared the same shirt and agreed it shrank considerably. It's just a $25.00 tee-shirt, but between this experience and emailing as others have stated corporate with no responses. I am over this place, as United Stated Marine I have options on base and plenty of competitors online. There customer service stinks! read more

Was super helpful locating some Arb pro pants in an AZ store. Set up the order and I'll be able to pick them up when they arrive in the Oside location. I picked up a pair of shoes and some shorts at their sidewalk sale. Killer deals and no kidding, holy moley are these shorts comfy! The shoes seem like they're gonna do the trick too. They have great customer service and pretty decent product selection. They don't just have "tactical" gear, although that is kinda the theme they're going for. If you need some decent rugged, outdoor gear, check these guys out before checking out places like REI, you might save a few bucks. read more

I've been wearing and supporting the 5.11 brand for quite a while now. The quality is always very high and the innovation is on point for tactical clothing. The satellite stores are no exception. If you are local to a store I definitely suggest taking the time to go there and try out the clothing you might be considering. 5.11 is an interesting brand and their clothes and boots fit very true to size and sometimes even a bit big. Usually in tactical pants I will need a size up as they run a bit tight when moving around. With 5.11 that's not the case a 36 or 34 is actually proper sized. A large or XL shirt is actually made for men with chests and broad shoulders. Finally! A place where men with muscles and shoulders can fit comfortably in clothes without busting seams. Great selection. Awesome, friendly and helpful staff. Usually going to places like this as non-military can be a bit off putting, but here the staff is great to deal with and it makes you want to come back. read more

Fantastic store and great experience while shopping here! I stopped in to the store after seeing a flyer about their grand opening a few weeks ago and knew I had to check it out. While I do about half of my shopping online, I am always hesitant when it comes to clothes, since cut and sizing will always vary from store to store. Now that I have a 5.11 right near base, I have the perfect excuse to spend my paychecks on more low-viz tactical gear and clothing. Going down the 78, you will be sure to see the big 5.11 and orange sight logo from the top of the building where the store is located on the first floor. But to actually get there, you're going to have to be sure to get off on the El Camino Real exit, because if you see the logo while on the freeway, you have already driven past the store. The parking lot is also on the eastern end of the store, so if you're coming from the coast, the turn-in for parking is right after the storefront. I thought there was a connection from the turn prior to there but sadly I had to U-turn. Walking in to the store, you really get the sense of how large their selection is: male and female everyday wear, tactical bags and range gear, boots, moto patches, first aid kits, belts, knives, anything that the service member, veteran, contractor, or defense-driven citizen could want. My favorite part was one whole wall dedicated to pants. They have several different styles and variants, all being reinforced for daily wear and some being made to handle the more rough and tough nature that your career may call for. The pockets are deep, some reinforced specifically for knife clips or to hold magazines (rifle, not reading), the belt loops hold up to heavy use, and those that come with cargo pockets are Velcro or zipper style. I will be working overseas for the next few years and when going to ranges, I needed something durable that wouldn't stand out when traveling through civilian areas. I ended up going with the Ridgeline pants in a light khaki color. No cargo pockets, but they have extra pockets built into the front and rear, large enough to hold mags and it is Teflon coated, to help repel liquids and stains. Fitting rooms were in the rear of the store, each was spacious, with a mirror covering one whole wall to really check your fit. I did not have the chance to try on any shirts or coats, as I came in about half an hour before they closed. The staff there was still accommodating despite the late hour, and once I explained the work I would be doing in the future and the apparel I required, I was shown several different styles of pants, was told of their different cuts and visibility, then shown the different shirts, short and long sleeved, mostly those with the ability to carry concealed under arm and still draw. I will definitely be returning in the near future to size out my wardrobe. Be forewarned, this clothing and gear costs a modest amount of money, my pants cost about $75 with tax added. Do not let this put you off! For gear you want to be able to trust and rely upon either when the time comes or for everyday wear, paying a few extra dollars will pay off in the lifespan of what you purchase. These products are built to play rough and to last you a long time. read more

Just went in for the first time yesterday and was very happy with my purchases. Great quality products. Also, customer service was awesome. They'll ask you if you need any help and if you don't they'll leave you alone. They have both male and female employees. Not pushy. They use their own products. Price is pretty standard for most things. I will say not a great selection for flashlights but that doesn't take away from the awesomeness of 5.11 tactical. Returned this morning to spend another 200 bucks on clothes, shoes, s clip. They hooked me up with a rad apron. Will get 95% of my wear here. Cheers guys! read more

It is so great to see this old Hooters space be put to good use, with prominent signage for the freeway drivers! The more we can advertise pro 2A businesses, the better! Tri-City was in desperate need of a quality tactical store. While they do cater to law enforcement, they carry USA made products for ALL people. You can buy emergency kits, knives, shoes, clothes, etc. I have been here twice since they opened. The first time to get a new belt for my rig and the second on their grand opening (I missed the festivities but they had 20% the entire store all day!). I don't get an arrogant vibe from any of the employees here, which is important. If you are not LEO and are interested in just browsing, or maybe interested in learning more about guns, personal protection, etc, the staff is knowledgeable and ready to answer your questions. There are some places that won't give you the time of day if you don't know how to "talk tactical". I want to stress again that 5.11 is AMERICAN MADE which is extremely hard to find, and their clothes are very well made. I will be a frequent shopper here. read more

I've been to the store a few times and have found them to be hit or miss. They have a great but limited selection. They have a wide selection of the standard "tactical" gear, like packs and clothing, but don't stock items that they deem to be service or uniform items. On more than one occasion I've gone looking for a pack or pair of pants and been told that I would have to special order the item I'm looking for. While it's awesome that they are willing to special order an item, it defeats the purpose of the brick and mortar store if I have to spend money to check out an item. I might as well order it online. For example, I was looking to purchase the Responder 84 ALS Backpack and was told that they don't stock that backpack because that is more of a first responder item and that I'd have to special item. I understand that it might not be a top seller or that few people would need such an item, but would it really hurt to have one or two in the sandstone color. I don't get it, especially considering that they stock items like the Operator Axe, the community is full of military and first responders and prepping seems to be on the rise. read more

The store was well organized and and clean. It made me completely forget it used to be a hootes while i was inside. The staff were eager to assist and even suggested i try clothes on in the fitting rooms. This is possibly the coolest part about the store. Not having to wait for something to come after I order it, and find out if it fits me or not is a big deal for me. Espescially on some of these specialty pieces of gear. I used to come here frequently to buy my boyfriend gifts, but after a recent encounter I had with the bearded, bald guy, I will never be coming here again. I was trying to return a patch along with a few other items that I had recently purchased from there. Although I didn't have a receipt, I asked friendly if there was any possible way i could return it since I paid with a debit card. I asked him if he could look up the transaction on my card and he told me that he was unable to do so. After telling me he wasn't able to locate the transaction, he tried to tell me that I couldn't return the patch even if I had a receipt in hand because I didn't purchase the patch from 5.11. At first I thought he was kidding, because the patch is completely wrapped and sealed in a 5.11 wrapper and the patch itself has the 5.11 logo on it. Then, he went to show me a different patch with a different wrapper and kept telling me "You definitely didn't purchase that patch from here". His comment made me frustrated because it made literally no sense. I was very confused as to why he was trying to stress and prove that I for some reason didn't purchase it from there. Then, I proceeded to look at the other patches and easily located multiple patches with the same exact wrapping as the one that I had purchased. After showing it to him, he began to raise his voice at me and caused a scene in front of the whole store, accusing me of attempting to counterfeit a dinky little patch and repeatedly telling me that I definitely didn't buy it from there. In no way shape or form did I once raise my voice. I told him merry christmas in response to his yelling. He continued to keep making snarky comments as I walked out of the store. It was actually a pretty ridiculous encounter and a major waste of my time. It was completely unnecessary. Im still not sure why he was accusing me of not purchasing the patch from them lol. Like why does he even need to say that if I can't get the refund anyways cause I didn't have a receipt? I wasn't even upset that I couldn't return the items. The funny thing is that when I purchased the patch a month prior, the same guy kept hanging around and giving me tips on what to get my boyfriend for christmas lol. I guess he didn't remember a small 19 year old girl coming into a tactical store that was shopping for her boyfriend. Great looking store, but if the manager is re-living his military days with other customers, it's like you're not even there. We had a question that the one other employee, (who was great), couldn't answer and it was very obvious he didn't want to interrupt his boss. My wife was literally standing there with almost $200 in clothes waiting for the manager to shut the hell up for two seconds. (15 minutes straight, he would not stop talking to these guys), and he wasn't selling anything to them either. Total customers in the store was us, and the two guys the manager was BS'ing with. Needless to say, the wife got irritated, put the clothes on the counter and walked out. For $75 a shirt I guess sales aren't that important. Back to on-line shopping I go.... read more

Went in on "Cyber Monday" (11/27) & was barely acknowledged by a solo clerk who looked to be folding clothes. She never once asked if she could assist me or mention the "25% off sale" or free gift. I looked at the clothing & gear looking to buy two more pairs of similar tactical pants that I'd found at another store on sale the day before. What they offer is nice, good quality, but a bit pricey. Had I been assured the sale was on I probably would have made a purchase, but I was ignored. The store is a bit of a disappointment considering they advertise it as being "Law Enforcement Oriented." I saw nothing a patrol officer could wear, and the "gear" (holsters, etc.) was extremely limited. read more
