I found the Golf Mart when searching for a place to get my husband's anniversary gift. I know almost nothing about golf clubs and they were very helpful both over the phone and in person. I ended up scheduling him a club fitting so that we could purchase the clubs he liked most based on his swing, etc. and we met with Dan who was awesome! Very knowledgeable, gave the perfect amount of recommendations and helped answer all of our questions about the clubs that we were interested in without being overly pushy for the sale. You can tell he's passionate about golf and sincerely wants to help improve your game. I've been there twice this week and the first time a female helped me and was rude and condescending about something as simple as putting new grips on a couple of clubs. Today, I went in and overheard her backstabbing a couple of customers. Is she a Harvard grad or something where she is so much smarter than the customers that she is there yo help? Hi & highlighting the excellent fitting experience that we had here with Monica. It's a super nice range in the first place and then having a very pleasant and patient fitting on some irons. We'd already been elsewhere but this outcome was substantially more rigorous and also came in at a cheaper price. We were "out of towners" but didn't feel taken advantage of at all and the benefit is that this all works from stock shaft option and so not getting crazy on the prices. We considered these to be reasonable overall and would recommend going to this place/person. The clubs were also made up quickly and delivered in good time. Recently got fitted and purchased complete Callaway B21 golf set Sand wedge through Driver. Love the set and play 2-4 days a week with them. I recommend getting fitted , it's not free , but worth doing before you Drop $2000-3000 on a set of clubs. 90 day return makes things so much easier at this shop. The real reason for my write up is Staff and customer service. I called the shop from the golf course with a broken 3 wood Shaft. They said bring it in and we will get it off to Callaway ASAP for warranty repair. However when I got to the Shop and mention to the Staff I was playing the next 2 days and use my 3 wood as a driver on most holes. , they WITHOUT HESITATION let me take another matching club off the rack.! While I did spend $3000 in the shop over the past few months , I did not expect special treatment as much as "hey can you help me out for a week?" There is no substitute for great customer service and this shop has it, and is why I choose to buy in person most of the time. Decent enough equipment to find something u might need and located at the Carlsbad Driving Range so u can hit some balls, but knocked down for bad service. Mostly passive/dismissive employees who will get to u when they're done chatting or hanging in the back. Not the kind of place u WANT to give ur business, but worth the convenience if they have what u need. Had a few grips removed and asked to save the old ones, which were literally barely a few months old and installed by them. Ironically, I'd already had 11 of my grips removed when out at Arrowwood GC hitting balls a week earlier by a mobile kiosk kid there. He did them in 15 mins and saved ALL of the old ones no prob. When I asked for that here, same clubs same grips, they said 'errrr,.uhhh, well maybe...sometimes..blah blah.' I knew then they wouldn't even try, and they didn't disappoint. Well, they did actually, as expected. Typical small business with poor staff doomed to close eventually because of it. This place provides the bare min, so just have low expectations and you won't be disappointed. read more

Worst customer service , almost like they don't have time to help, without anyone in store. I went into store ready to purchase irons, one guy says he wouldn't recommend ( never seeing me swing or length of playing time ) the other barely wanted to help. I was ready to spend $800-$1000 ..... didn't even attempt to provide customer service, perhaps they don't need the business. Ironically called the Del Mar location and completely opposite customer service ( helpful) . They are lucky I spent $8 one bucket of balls to hit after , lol read more

I came in for a club fitting with Dan today. It was extremely informative. Dan was super helpful and friendly. I never felt like I was being taken advantage of or upsold to spend more money. Jan 4th went in for a club fitting. Baze helped me out with ideas and different clubs. The order was placed for 6-gw cobra forged tec one length irons. Adding to the order (what I thought was crazy) 7 & 9 woods from callaway instead of a 5 and 4 iron. All the clubs came in and I used them for about a week. Went back today for a gapping session with Baze. I was amazed on the gapping. From GW to 6 iron covered all the ranges from 90 to 165 yards. 9 wood and 7 woods cover from 180 to 200. If you are wondering about getting this done do it. Baze is great and I'll go back when I need some help. read more

Once again Golf Mart stands out. I bought a Ping G425 from Dicks only because of gift card. Everything else in my bag is from Golf Mart. At the driving range my Ping shaft broke. Went to Dicks and they said nothing they could do for me very disappointed in Dicks. So went over to Golf Mart to see if they had a shaft and told them my sorry about Dicks. Les said let me see what we can do for you So I handed him the broken driver. This was Sun 12/26. Monday 12/27 I get a call a day later and Les said your Driver is ready. I couldn't believe it after Dicks sporting good couldn't do anything even after the fact I bought it from them. Golf mart Les and his crew made it right for me. Les said karma because this was the only club in my bag that I didn't buy from them lol but yet they made it right. I really do Love the way they make me feel like Family and take care of there customers. That will be the last time Dicks gets my business all my friends and Family I send to Golf Mart simply because they are family and the best in the business. You will love this place. read more

This Carlsbad Golf Mart has the best service by far compared to the other locations. Went there last week to get my Taylormade 3wood fixed but there ended up being something wrong with it. I have gone to this location many times over the years for lessons, driving range, shoes, and had clubs re gripped as well. The people working there have always been friendly and helpful. Unfortunately that was not true today. My husband and I went in looking for new clubs and bags. We were barely greeted when we walked in. No one asked if we needed assistance. We looked at clubs for 10 minutes, still no one asked if we needed any help. Finally we just walked out without even a "thanks for coming in" I don't like to be harassed when I walk into a place but a little common courtesy would have gone a long way and the store would have benefited from our purchase! read more
