When she finally did show up, she acted like serving us was a massive inconvenience. No smile, no "be right with you," just a total lack of professionalism. ​To make matters worse: ​The Order: never brought back change ​The Wait: We had to flag down other staff members just to get water because she never checked back on us once. ​The Bill: She was incredibly quick to bring the check, but nowhere to be found when we actually needed service throughout the afternoon. ​For the prices Harrah's charges for poolside service and cabanas, you expect at least a baseline of courtesy. Madison was dismissive and rude. Save your tips and try to get a different section or just go to the swim-up bar yourself.

I should've written an update when it was a solid 5…read morestars but this summer (2025), the City of San Marcos partnered with Premier Aquatics and unfortunately, sometimes with change, things go a bit downhill. Before Premier Aquatics, there were plenty of chairs and lounge chairs in the shade, the pool was open during the summer 7 days a week, 12-5, and every Friday night was 'Family Nights' from 6-8. The lifeguards brought out a huge obstacle course and all the kids loved it. Not anymore. The pool is open less hours for recreational swim. M-Th 12-3. F-Su 12-5. There are way less chairs, and no more 'Family Nights'. It's pretty obvious why the rec hours are limited...Premier Aquatics makes more money off swim lessons than they do with recreational swim. They offer more pool passes at different price points, but none of them are through the City of San Marcos. You're buying it straight through Premier Aquatics. My kids still enjoy it, but....meh. 3 stars.

It's got a huge sloped entry for little ones to safely play if they aren't quite swimming just yet. There are swimming lanes and a big area for kids who are swimming to jump in, splash around, and play. The splash pad is awesome. It's got a lot of different features making it very entertaining. The pool and deck are really clean and seating is limited with not a ton of shade.

People come in ready to move and have a good time, and it's easy to just be yourself without feeling judged. The music and energy build in a way that makes the workout go by fast, and before you know it you're sweating without even realizing how much work you put in. It's a solid class and a good way to start or end the day. Outside of class, the gym itself has been great. It's clean, organized, and easy to navigate. The manager Yvette is always so sweet and helpful. You can tell she really cares about the members and keeps the place running smoothly.
