It's got a huge sloped entry for little ones to safely play if they aren't quite swimming just yet. There are swimming lanes and a big area for kids who are swimming to jump in, splash around, and play. The splash pad is awesome. It's got a lot of different features making it very entertaining. The pool and deck are really clean and seating is limited with not a ton of shade.

I should've written an update when it was a solid 5…read morestars but this summer (2025), the City of San Marcos partnered with Premier Aquatics and unfortunately, sometimes with change, things go a bit downhill. Before Premier Aquatics, there were plenty of chairs and lounge chairs in the shade, the pool was open during the summer 7 days a week, 12-5, and every Friday night was 'Family Nights' from 6-8. The lifeguards brought out a huge obstacle course and all the kids loved it. Not anymore. The pool is open less hours for recreational swim. M-Th 12-3. F-Su 12-5. There are way less chairs, and no more 'Family Nights'. It's pretty obvious why the rec hours are limited...Premier Aquatics makes more money off swim lessons than they do with recreational swim. They offer more pool passes at different price points, but none of them are through the City of San Marcos. You're buying it straight through Premier Aquatics. My kids still enjoy it, but....meh. 3 stars.

From the start, he was honest, transparent, and never once used high-pressure sales tactics (which I really appreciate). His quote came in fair compared to others I received, and he took the time to really understand our needs. We needed the fence as part of the process to become resource parents for San Diego County foster youth, and Matthew was incredibly thoughtful in helping us make sure everything aligned with CA code requirements. He even encouraged us to confirm details with our social worker and was flexible when we hit a small curveball with elevation changes from a nearby step. Installation day was seamless, about 4 hours for 136 feet of 5-foot fencing, and the finished product looks amazing (pictures don't lie!). He also went above and beyond by cleaning up the area, walking us through how everything works, and making sure we felt comfortable using the gate and removable sections. What really stood out was how easy and genuine he was to work with, it felt more like talking to a friend than a vendor. Plus, the lifetime warranty is a huge bonus and something we didn't see with other companies. This gym is constantly over crowded. It's full of groups of high school/college students who crowd…read moremachines and block other areas to work out, adding to the congestion. I have found recently when a machine does become open it's covered in the sweat from the previous person. The facility is outdated and hasn't been upgraded since it opened. Parking is a nightmare. They did add what appears to be a nice Pilates and personal fitness area by removing 2 racket ball courts that members can use as an up charge. I assume they had to build a personal training area because the actual gym is over crowded and the available equipment is lacking. With the expansion of San Marcos and college area this gym is stuck trying to accommodate everyone and it's unable to keep up. If you plan to hit the gym after work and standing around waiting for random machines is your workout plan, this place is for you.
