I didn't feel welcomed when I arrived or excited about golf by the time if left in any way. I didn't love being on camera the whole time, especially when the video was not really used for the coaching feedback. The whole experience could have been better with just some minor tweaks. Made me think I should just stick with YouTube to learn the game. Probably better for an intermediate or serious golfer with a mission to improve a specific aspect of their form. I grew up playing competitive golf in high school and college, but after years away from the game due to back issues, I found myself struggling with bad habits and an inconsistent swing. That's when I came across Max and decided to give Swingworx a shot. From the very first swing analysis session, I knew I was in the right place. Max is incredibly knowledgeable and not just about golf mechanics but also the physics behind the swing. He has a great way of breaking things down in a way that actually makes sense, helping you understand why something is or isn't working. His setup is top-tier: a private, well-equipped studio with cutting-edge technology, video analysis, and clear takeaways after every session. Max also sends over swing videos and key points to work on between sessions, which has been a game-changer for my progress. I'm only halfway through my package and already seeing a dramatic improvement in my ball striking and flight path. For the first time in years, I'm enjoying the game again and looking forward to playing with confidence. If you've ever considered lessons--whether you're a beginner or a seasoned player--this is the place. Max and Swingworx are the real deal. Highly recommend

Side note: I love the metal targets at each distance, much better than flags. Things I learned: feel vs real. (my head moves back more than I thought, left arm position at impact etc) While the new student assessment isn't really a traditional golf "lesson", there's still a ton of things i learned watching the replays and will take that info back with me to practice. Ideally after this, you would then schedule your next "traditional" golf lessons to improve on the issues discussed. If I still lived in SD, I absolutely would come back for more lessons.

Yah more practice is required but I now know how to fix it as the ebb and flow of my skill narrows into solid muscle memory. The swing evaluation at GolfTEC really clicked with me though; you're provided with instant visual feedback (side view & down the line) and metrics on every swing. I walked out of there with the 3-month/10-lesson plan and it's been great fun! The swing evaulation fee was waived, and you even get a fitting thrown in for free also as part of the plan. That I enjoyed my time there is mainly down to the instructor, Don Luvsan, who's been a fantastic coach! Equal parts creative in his methodology, and patient in his delivery and reinforcement. He's a real asset to the facility and I've greatly appreciated my time under his tutelage. Thanks in no small part to Don, I've got a much more consistent swing, and I know why from all the visual feedback. In fact, I just posted my best score on a round this weekend, and have tons more confidence from any situation because we've walked through all of it during the sessions, and all the feedback and video summaries of my lessons are in the online portal if ever I need a refresher. They've got a great sale (which appears to be annual) through the month of August, so I'd encourage you to give Don a call for a swing evaluation and see if the coaching resonates with you. Mileage may vary, but with the 'Game Plan' i signed up for, you get to practice at the facility 3 times a week outside of your usual lesson. When things were quiet, Don was always happy to poke his head in to check on me and work through some sticking points. All that's left is the fitting. Looking forward to it, and I'll be booking in with Don again after I've developed a few bad habits on the course.
