This is a long overdue review for ATH! They handled two major home projects for us in 2025 in a…read moremidcentury modern condo. This review is for the first one, a bedroom ceiling/roof leak that needed mold mitigation, asbestos testing and renovation. March 2025: Leak originally started as a moisture spot on the ceiling in October 2024 but my HOA ignored it. By March 2025, the ceiling had become so compromised that water streamed in like a waterfall during a massive storm. My original contact was Noah - he gave me an estimate (along with two other companies). I really appreciated how Noah was communicative, informative and thorough. And! he didn't badger me w/ phone calls & emails, like the other two companies did. He understood that I said I would take care of the situation when I could b/c I was in the middle of Massage Therapy school. I understood the "risks" of having mold & just shut the bedroom off. Fast forward to August 2025 & now we're ready to take care of the situation. Noah followed protocol of getting an asbestos test first. Luckily, it was negative. Then Spencer, their Mitigation Specialist? built a special containment room, inside the guest bedroom that sealed off the contaminated area. Heavy duty fans stayed on for about 72 hours? so the area could be thoroughly dried after being treated w/ some kind of mold treatment. Noah was available via text when I had questions - that was surprising & super helpful! Once Mitigation was completed, Noah connected me w/ Jacob at their Restoration Department. He sent over a stellar crew led by David & they proceeded to rebuild about a quarter of the bedroom - meant to mention that they had to rip out dry wall, scaffolding, etc. This crew rebuilt and then refinished the area, including re-installing wainscotting and painting the ceiling + walls. The results? This bedroom looks gorgeous! We were thrilled with how thorough/smooth ATH was w/ this process & how the renovation turned out. I submitted a request through Yelp, and Global Prevention Services responded and got me scheduled for a consultation immediately. Shortly after this consultation, the Global Prevention Services Project Coordinator, Kimberly, put together several service estimates for me, as we weren't yet sure the direction we wanted to go with the shower tile. Kimberly was patient with us as we picked out materials and went back and forth on what we wanted to do! Due to our mold experience, we ultimately decided we wanted to limit the amount of grout in the shower, in hopes of minimizing the chances of it failing. With that, we started the reconstruction! Throughout the whole process, Kimberly and Rudy, the project manager, were incredibly thorough, communicative, and overall, just really helpful. We are talking a water issue on a condo and the amount of PPE does not seem reasonable. State Farm seems to agree, so much so that sent Preferred Choice a check for over $3,000 dollars for the mitigation portion of it but preferred choice wants more. And they want to fight. It's been a nightmare for over 6 months now and I suggest you avoid this company. Note: they also mishandled files and send me pictures and invoices from another customer, very unprofessional.

They took longer than projected and when it was done my cupboards are a mess. My water line to the fridge leaked and caused mold in my kitchen. I called around and had a few people call, this company came out spoke with my husband called my insurance company and took over. We never had a chance to say yes or no. They came out the next week and removed the cupboards , sort of put up tape and plastic and moved the cupboards to my back patio. They came back a couple days later and finished up the wall. Took the cupboards to their shop and pieced them together. I mean pieced. The lines from the shelves were still in the boxes so they didn't really replace the cupboards. They took off the bottom and the shelves. They didn't line anything up so everything is crooked. The heights don't match to any of the lines. They fixed up what they could sort of and gave a credit to the bill. I just wanted it done and they glued the shelves in and so not much could be done by then. Who glues in shelves. Now a few months later they keep asking me to sign a paper that says the job is done. I signed the paper after the job was done. How many times do I need to sign the same thing. Months later and my cupboards are falling apart. Where they didn't use glue they used tiny tack nails that barely went thru the would. Buyer beware.
