I just visited this location for the first time last week and I had such a wonderful experience. The front desk was super accommodating to my last minute change. Parking was super easy and convenient right next to Trader Joe's and I was stoked I could grab some groceries right after my massage. Sophia was amazing and the massage was so relaxing I fell asleep! Bummer for me, but a testament to her skills. I have a lot problems with a super tight lower back and she was able to make it feel noticeably better after just one session. You can't go wrong with the price either. I get massages quite often and you just can't beat the quality of masseuses at Massage Envy. I will definitely be back to this location for the convenience and wonderful atmosphere. read more

Massage Envy - Massage Envy in Pasadena, near Trader Joe's - Massage Near Me - Pasadena, California

I'm finally getting around to writing this! I love massage Envy & I have visited a few. This location is really nice and conveniently next to Trader Joe's and Macy's. Both my fave's. Awhile back I had a couple of massage's here and I loved them all! Each person was sweet and applied the perfect pressure. I definately recommend them here. My favorite is Maria. I also had a facial by a girl there (I don't remember her name) and that one was really nice...... BUT!!!!! (WARNING!!!!!!!) - there is one girl I had a facial from and she was a nightmare! I feel bad, but I have to warn people. Her name is Angela and she has a very thick accent. I'm not sure if she understood me, but she did a very painful facial! My face was bleeding from her picking at my face. It took her 10 of those minutes to stop the bleeding! She then applied something to my face like a Gel that really hurt and I asked her to take it off, but she didn't understand and waited forever to take it off. With my skin still hurting, she continued to do a very rough massage on my face. She also smelled and I couldn't WAIT for it to be over!!! After I got dressed, she threw all the sheets in the doorway and she hurried me along the hallway. While doing this, she solicited the other clients around. I thought this was so tacky! I HAD TO GET THAT OUT!! Otherwise, this is a nice place and I want to go back for massages and try another facial, but NOT FROM HER!!!! read more

I recently learned that my favorite therapist, Elizabeth, is working at this location and I'm excited to ask for her again! She excels in deep tissue and precision, treating problem areas that have plagued me for years. If you're looking for a strong massage therapist, she's the way to go. read more

This massage envy location is a great addition to the general Pasadena area. Staffs are very nice and they are very knowledgeable about unique styles of each therapists. I asked for therapists that can do massages in the way I desire, and the receptionist successfully recommended someone who was just right for the job. Also, this Massage Envy allows cancellation 4 hours before the appointment instead of the regular 24 hours. I feel that this policy allows much greater flexibility to customers and definitely would recommend this location to my friends. read more

This is a small spa but great location near Trader Joe's. I go in monthly to see Patricia. She gives a great massage, not too firm but not too Swedish. And, she's a sweetheart; it's a delight interacting with her. read more

This is, by far, my favorite location as well! I really enjoyed two massages and a facial. The staff were all attentive and caring. There were absolutely no time issues. I've been to various ME locations. Just as different people have different strengths and weaknesses, you are also unique as a client. You have to fine the location that works best for you. read more

Love this place! Love it so much that I became a member over 6 months ago and have received all but the best service. Sophia and Jackie give the best massages. The kind of massages that have you sleep 10 minutes in. They pay close attention to your needs and are very professional and kind. I also go to Anna for facials and my skin looks young and refreshed. Ana is very professional and knowledgable. The front office staff always greet me with a smile and by my name. Parking is a little annoying having to share it with their neighbors, but you can always find a space. Plus it is free parking. Go check them out! You will not be dissapointed. read more

This review is for a prenatal massage I had yesterday with DIANA. She. Is. Magic. I have had a lot of massages in my day, and a certain percentage of them is always spent grimacing a little wondering why they're using too much/too little pressure, or wondering if they're on the bone or on a nerve. Diana hit the mark EVERY TIME. I was in heaven, and told her often. I like a quieter massage, and she completely took my lead as far as conversing goes. My needs were met, exceeded, and then some! But the best part was after I left. I was so happy and relaxed all evening, and I finally slept 8 hours last night for the first time this entire third trimester! And when I woke up this morning? I had ZERO PAIN. Again, for someone who is 40 weeks pregnant, this is pretty magical/phenomenal/unheard of! HIGHLY RECOMMEND Diana for a prenatal massage! read more

I went to one of these years ago and when my usual person was booked I was desperate and decided to give this location a try. I feel like the membership is very gym (predatory) like but its just...complicated not predatory as it seemed. A 60 min massage is $100 without a membership and $50 with one. If you sign up for 12 months there is no cancellation fee (the lower tiers demand upfront payment and entry fee payments) and you can cancel or freeze it at any point. You pay $70 a month and that can be applied towards any hour long treatment (they do facials as well), or you could do a say 90 min treatment and pay the left over difference. If you use your one service, you pay $50 more a month. Look its fricken confusing and honestly I feel a review that long should cover the service not some convoluted consultant bs speak. The company would do better to make it simple and not double the price if you don't sign up. Sometimes people just want a service, not a lifelong commitment. I asked for a male masseuse (women rarely use enough pressure for my issues) and was given a woman. While I was skeptical she actually was very good and followed my requests properly and put as much power as I needed into the treatment. If you check in on yelp you get a free add on so I did that and got relaxation oil. After the treatment a patient employee walked me through the membership hoops and I signed up. I need monthly treatment so knowing I can have this and yet freeze or cancel if I can't afford it is fine by me. Location was nice, clean, easy parking and staff was friendly. If they were just a local place I'd recommend them, but that membership bs means I'd probably not because most friends of mine wouldn't want to deal with that. read more

My massage was terrible!!! It felt like the therapist was jabbing me with a stick the entire time. I asked her to use firm pressure, but not poke me and she was unable to accommodate my request. Seriously? Every other massage therapist I've ever had has been able to give me a great massage. Here comes the good part. I recieved a gift card with a $75 value. On their website, it says it's good for a "one-hour massage plus gratuity." Well, I get to the front desk and they say that the massage cost is $98 !!! (because I've gotten a massage at another location 3 years ago and I'm in the system !!!!) So, I had to cough up $29 to receive this "gift" !!! Bad business!!! read more

I pass by Massage Envy everyday when going to the gym and randomly decided to walk in and get a massage. Everyone was so kind, friendly and helpful at the front desk that I decided to sign up for a membership before I even got my first massage from them. I cant recall who gave me my first massage, but it was decent. I remember thinking it was definitely worth the price of the membership but it was nothing spectacular. Two weeks later I made an appointment for my second massage with them. This time my appointment was with Maritza. I have had a lot of massages over the years and I can easily say that this massage was by far the best massage I have ever had. Far better than anything I have had at any of those other fancy high-priced spas. She asked what areas I wanted her to focus on and she made sure that by the time I left they were 100% better. She did an amazing job. It was so good that I made another appointment to come back the next day. I would highly recommend Massage Envy to anyone and although I am sure all their staff is great, I would suggest you ask for Maritza. read more

I HIGHLY recommend Massage Envy to anyone. I was an athlete (played softball for 12 years, including in college) and still have a muscle spasm that sometimes bothers me. I went to massage envy after 3 car accidents in a row. It helped so much! Recently, a friend had given me a gift card for Massage Envy and I couldn't wait to use it. I went to this new location and it was amazing, just like the one on Foothill. Again, I highly recommend Massage Envy to anyone - athletes, spa day, treating yourself, or for regular massages (they have a great deal for monthly massages!). read more

Just got back from the best massage I've ever had... Part of me doesn't want to post this for selfish reasons so it's not harder to make an appointment with Flor! I've had many great masseuses at this Massage Envy location but Flor was perfect for what I was looking for. If you want/need a truly deep tissue massage, she's the person for the job. I have tons of tension in my shoulders and have tried physical therapy, massage and acupuncture to alleviate my knots. The pressure level that Flor used (ensuring it was the pressure level I wanted) couldn't have been more perfect. She really got in there and tackled the knots that have been causing me daily tension/pain and I can tell that just the one session thus far will make a huge difference for me. Furthermore, I had been thinking about cancelling my membership because I'm past my one year commitment but the massage I had from Flor has completely changed my mind. I highly recommend this location (everyone has always been friendly & professional and the facility is always super clean) but I really recommend and thank Flor for such a great experience! I'll be back soon! read more

Therese Z. is incredible! She was so respectful and and kind and SKILLED! Whew, child! I got a 60 minute massage and a 60 minute facial. I was nervous because I'd never been before; it was even better than I could have hoped. She didn't try to sell me any unwanted products or services either. read more

They are finally getting things right at this location. Today they exceeded expectations by welcoming me by name upon entering the door, followed by an offer of water! That is more like the services one would expect prior to a massage. It only took about 10 visits but I did not give up hope! read more

When I first started going in to see Angie I was getting shooting pain in my bad an shoulders, and had terrible tension headaches pretty much daily. After working with her for several months, I no longer have shooting pain, my shoulders are staying relatively loose, and I am down to going in once a month. Definitely a high recommendation. read more

Love it! I'm pregnant with my second child and am finally taking care of myself with prenatal massages. I first visited the Hastings Ranch location and wasn't happy with the therapist there. I'm now being seen by Steve at the Lake Ave. location and he is fantastic. I was a bit unnerved by a male massage therapist (especially for a pregnancy massage) but he definitely knows what he's doing and is not afraid to apply pressure. He is also certified to massage up to 90 minutes, which is great because 60 minutes is not enough. (Note that not all locations are permitted to provide prenatal massages more than 60 minutes in length - odd but i speak from experience). Very professional staff, great location. Glad I found it :) read more

How could you go wrong with ample parking for no-stress, soon-to-be-had treatments at Massage Envy, by Ms Theresa or Ms Marisa, who are Queens of Effleurage, with Trader Joe's and TJMaxx but a stone's throw away? Best facial yet! Thank you, Theresa. read more

Love Massage Envy Pasadena. Letty gives a fantastic massage and Anna gives an amazing facial. They are both so nice and professional as is the front office staff. Highly recommend this location! read more

I have been a member for a couple of years now and have been happy with many of the Massage Envy Locations! I make my facial appointments at this location! I love Anna...all the estheticians are great! read more

I do not recommend this place. They require a credit card number just to make a reservation. There are plenty of worthy places that do not require this, even places that charge half the amount of what they are asking for. They will debit your account for the full amount of the massage if you need to cancel or do not like your massage after it has begun. I think this is a horrible business practice, nothing to support and highly pretentious. I do not pay for services not rendered, nor do I stay in a massage that clearly is not doing its job. I resent the imposition of forcing customers upfront to pay. I think it's a nasty thoughtless business practice. I don't care if their masseurs speak English. It's no excuse. They just lost one very reliable massage client with me. I don't care how great they think their massages or facilities are. Unbelievable. No way! read more

When I came in, I was greeted by such a lovely and friendly front desk staff. My massage therapist Angie really focused on my pain areas. I felt so much better so I decided to join the membership. $70 a month for one massage and $50 for extra sessions, which I think is such a steal especially because I needed a lot of work to fix my back pain. So far I've seen such amazing and skilled therapists (Angie, Sofia, Diana, Manny, Lauren, and others) Can't wait to go back(: read more

By far my favorite location, great staff from their management to their Therapists. I really enjoyed every Massage and every visit so far.

Was told that if I didn't use my six month membership the credits wouldn't expire. Wasn't told that they only don't expire if you continue on a monthly basis. read more

The best massage therapists in town. I've been going here fir 3 years now. Exceptional value

Great location, super clean facility. Fantastic staff and massage and facial therapists. Plenty of parking and across the way from Trader Joe's to pick up some healthy items after pampering yourself at Massage Envy. :) read more

Receptionist staff is not polite nor member centered. Terrible experience with reception as they indicated that calling for reminder appointments are a courtesy and not mandatory. They are too big of a corporation to not remain focused on member care and satisfaction. They have a very dismissive and disrespectful receptionist. Canceled my membership and glad I did. read more

For my birthday (and for which I start celebrating several days in advance...) I decided to get a long-overdue massage. As a runner, my upper body had become extra knotted - I'm sure desk work/lifting cases of wine at my day job didn't help. Maritza was my massage therapist, and I booked an hour-long Swedish session. The facility is really nice (for a step below, say, Burke Williams) and the staff was really friendly and professional. I was happy with the massage - Maritza really listened to my preferences and was able to work a lot of the knots out, I'm still feeling loosened up and refreshed. However, it was definitely a session that matched its price - $49 I believe; if it was more expensive, I'm not sure it would have been totally worth it. (This was the introductory price.) The 3-star rating is a result of how the experience ended. I was super relaxed and calm, ready to just pay the bill and enjoy the rest of my day, when the front desk attendant tried to hard-sell me on their monthly membership (something like $60 a month, which gets you a $39 hour massage instead of full price.) I was definitely not interested, which I politely mentioned - I had planned, rather, to visit every few months for a longer massage instead. I insisted I was not in the position to purchase a membership, but she continued explaining the program to me - even after I (once again) politely declined. She then added something about a less expensive/3-month membership (AGAIN, I was *not* interested) which I also politely declined. I left feeling annoyed and frazzled - in hindsight, I had tipped on the promotional cost of the massage and thought I should have tipped on the full price, but I don't ever plan on returning. I absolutely HATE being cornered about memberships/discounts/deals in general, but after a massage? WTH are they thinking? Definitely lost my business. read more

First time going to this business and I was disappointed. It was my birthday so I had hoped for a better experience. My rating is both for the location and the therapist. Entry way is tiny and did not exude a spa feeling. The quiet room where you wait for your therapist smelled of B.O. Other spas I have been to (even mom and pops) usually has a nice smell upon entrance so this is more of feedback for this establishment. I arrived 7 minutes early, used the restroom and then waited to sign some waivers. I got into my room and was laying on the bed by 5 minutes after my appt start time. The therapist didnt come in until 5 mins later putting us at 10 minutes past my appt time. She then finishes 5 minutes before the end of my appt time. My therapist was Lerissa. I felt she lacked technique in her massage and towards the end I was cringing because when she massaged my neck her fingernails kept digging into my neck. She also kept doing the same massage over and over (possibly just to finish up the time? Or due to lack of technique/experience?). I also informed her I liked firm pressure but what I got was finger pressures that was uncomfortable on my back. Sigh. I really had higher hopes for this establishment. They provided an introductory rate for new clients which was a nice surprise but also made me feel better that I didnt pay full price for the massage. This place is more expensive than Burke Williams and at BW you actually get a way better experience for the price you pay AND access to their amenities. read more

This location is always clean, friendly and great staff. Request Ben. Great consistent massage every time.

The McDonald's of Massage Therapy, but unlike the Golden Arches, you can never count on what you'll get at this franchise. I've had a pretty decent massage here, but the neck rub tonight would be hard to confuse for a massage. Most disturbing--I paid with a credit card once, and learned later that they've kept my credit card number on file--I've not known other businesses to do this, and am not aware that I consented. read more

Had a great massage. Deep deep tissue, super strong hands and elbow precision by Elizabeth. Takes direction well and also offers great suggestions. She has extensive experience and knowledge. She will find your knots and grind them down. So glad I took the gamble. You never know what you're going to get with someone new. Will be back in a few weeks! read more

I just ended my membership here due to a move, but over nearly five years I never had a bad massage--everyone was great. Having previously been a member of a mediocre Massage Envy in the Bay Area, I know this can't be taken for granted. This location is fantastic: relaxing waiting rooms with refreshing flavored water, a clean and tastefully decorated lavatory, and consistently excellent massage therapists. Highly recommended. read more

I have been a member for a year and have been happy with each therapist I have seen. I always ask for firm. My review is for Déjà because she is totally saving my back! She's the best massage therapist I've ever seen and I've been to some pretty fancy places. I am a tattoo artist and my job has me sitting bent over people all day and it destroys my back. I have seen Déjà three weeks in a row and have an appointment for next week. For the first time in years I feel like I'm actually healing and not in pain. My posture is already better and my headaches are less often. She's also really sweet and I couldn't be happier to have found her! read more

Massage envy south lake is by far one of the best massage envy's I have been to. I've been a member for a few years now and after changing locations I've finally found a winner. Yes, the place is clean and new and the staff is friendly and professional, but that was one of the worst massages I've ever had. The therapist had no technique. He kept rubbing over the same areas too quickly over and over again until it became annoying. He didn't seem to have any clue about what was going on under my skin. I've had many massages where the therapist knew how to tell how a muscle was responding and knew how to apply the correct pressure at the right speed to release a knot. This therapist seemed to think that beating the muscle repeatedly was the way to go. Firm to deep pressure does not mean run over me with a train! Instead of walking out relaxed and a little less tight, I left there irritated and in pain. Then I had to endure the hard sell to get me to buy a membership. Also not very relaxing! read more
