Conny at Mission Massage is amazing! So talented, kind, and professional. I recommend her with enthusiasm to everyone seeking a fabulous massage around South Pasadena and beyond. She is also fantastic about promptly answering questions via text and setting up appointments. I am so grateful I found her and tried a massage after moving to the area. Favorite massage therapist ever! read more

Went in for a much needed massage. Been having migraines every morning for about a week. Every morning having to take medicine. Finally decided to get a massage. Have to mention; I get massages often. Always different places, I like to mix it up a bit and also because most places that I visit have been a disappointment. Always trying to find my go to place. Happy to say, I think I found it! Walter was my massage therapist. Wow! Definitely made it on my "best massage" list. It's been 3 days and so far no migraines. I've scheduled a follow up appointment. Can't wait!Only negative is the pricing. It's a bit on the higher side in my opinion. read more

Called in for an appointment and Carla made me wait for the massage session. After waiting 20 minutes, Carla gives me an extensive form to fill out. She was not sorry for wasting my time and was unapologetic. All I got was "okay" when I told her you wasted my time, gave me this form to fill out after waiting 20 minutes+, and I do not want the massage anymore but maybe I'll come back another day. Why do you ask for my credit card # to make an appointment? To ensure I come on time? Then, I expect you to make sure you start the session on time. Very poor customer service and communication!! read more

I try to get a massage once every 4-5 months. Lately I've really amped up my workouts and my cardio, so my muscles have been really suffering for a few weeks now. Due to the virus, a lot of massage places aren't open as of now, but I'm glad I found this location. The woman I had was extremely professional and did a great job overall helping me get rid of the pain I had. I booked another appointment for 90 days from now. I'm looking forward to my next massage. read more

Had an amazing massage by Walter! It was my first massage since Covid started and their cleaning protocol made me feel super safe. I definitely recommend Walter. He's an experienced massage therapist with a down to earth personality. He takes the time to understand your pain and areas of preference! Thank you again! read more

Mission Massage - Hip clean vibes once you enter Mission Massage :) - Massage Therapy Near Me - South Pasadena, California

walked in, waited for one of the many employees to greet me and ask if I need help, and watched two guests walk right in and get helped. once I asked if they have any availability , they said they were booked for the day. Not necessarily the kind of service I expected to get in South Pasadena. read more

I have been getting massages here a few times and highly recommend Chris! I get a one hour massage and always feel better afterword!

This is another review for Mission Massage. I have been suffering from excruciating and debilitating back pain from a total of 4 herniated discs for quite some time now. With all the various back treatments that I have been doing to try and manage the pain, I did not have time for massages. But, in my desperate state, I made time for one today. I saw Conny and received such a wonderful neuromuscular massage. She was able to target all the problems areas, basically the tightness throughout my neck and entire back, and even through my legs. What's interesting is that she worked on my neck and I felt the relief resonate throughout my low back and legs. Conny definitely knows what she's doing. She is a very skilled massage therapist. I would go back to her again and highly recommend her. read more

I regularly get massages from chiropractor offices, spas, etc. and the massages that I get from Daniella and Walter are the best ever! You can tell that they enjoy what they do and are experienced in their massage techniques. I always feel so much better after their massages. I highly highly recommend! read more

Great massage! I have some problem areas on my neck and back and the message therapy I received here was bar-none the best I have ever encountered. read more

I'm an experienced massage receiver and can tell you without a doubt that Chris is amazing! I had terrible neck, shoulder and arm pain and stiffness. He knew exactly what muscles to focus on and with flowing ease, gave me relief. read more

In the past 6 months, Cindy has changed my life with her magic hands. Recently, I have had pain in might right trapezius and right shoulder (for about a month). I tried deep tissue massages, ibuprofen, shoulder-opening techniques, and yoga, but nothing seemed to help. Last week, Cindy worked on my upper back, traps, shoulders and neck for one hour, and I felt so much better and pain-free afterward that I almost cried. She has even helped me with right hip pain that I have had for years, and was a key part of my recovery from a car accident I was in 6 months ago. The type of massage that Cindy, Tracy and Jan perform at Mission Massage isn't a "typical" massage (although they can easily do full-body swedish/deep tissue work, too...if that's what you would like). All three practitioners have taken advanced courses in musculoskeletal and neurological physiology, and are truly chiropractic massage experts. During your session, they can focus on specific muscles and how they interconnect and influence (and cause pain to) other parts of the body. Cindy, Tracy and Jan care about your ailments and even give you tips on what you can do at home to help heal the areas where you are having pain. I had no idea that focused, advanced chiropractic massage could have this big of an impact on my body and life (and not that big of an impact on my wallet)! Thank you, Mission Massage! read more

I definitely do not listen to my neck and shoulder's aches and pains as much as I should. At the end of a long day in front of a computer, there's been days where I...go home and go in front of the computer. And the cycle continues. Well, after having one of the best massage sessions in recent memory with Tracy, I have to say, "message received - must get more massages". Tracy - I swear - is like a muscle whisperer. She asked if I had any specific areas that I'd like her to focus on, and honestly I wasn't sure, I didn't feel any specific stabby pains in my back recently but as I mentioned earlier, I am at a computer desk all day, so mostly neck, shoulders, lower back. She started working and immediately identified all my trouble spots - I never realized how tight my back is - and went to work loosening them up. She always checked in to make sure I wasn't hurting too much, and if the pressure was just right. She not only listened to what I was saying but also listened to what my muscles were saying - really taking the time to work out the kinks in my neck and shoulder areas. The result? Well, my back, neck and shoulder areas are warm, buzzing with happiness and feeling way looser, and I know I'm going to sleep really well tonight. I didn't even know massages could make you feel this way! This massage was better than the last 10 massages I've had, and that includes visits to Burke Williams, Massage Envy, and ultra pricey spas in Las Vegas! Make sure to ask for Tracy, you will NOT be sorry. read more

Melissa Dalton allowed me to have my first experience in Mayofascial massages . I've been to her a few times. I appreciate her enthusiasm , caring manner, and professionalism . She worked on my back and surprisingly, I was nearly pain-free for nearly a week. Considering my injury, and considering that no doctors or Acupuncturists were as successful in helping me, I was pleasantlysurprised and relieved. She is flexible about how late you can have your appointments. I believe I've seen her late as nine or 8:30 PM. There is another masseuse available in the AM. Parking can be a little tricky in the day time. Street parking gets a little crowded in that area. But in the evening, it's much easier. read more

After part of my index finger went dumb mysteriously, I visited my regular doctor, who referred me to a neurologist. The diagnosis was a pinched nerve in my neck. I now have a bag full of prescriptions and lots of new stretches I'm doing all day as a result, but what really made a difference was visiting Chris Fayz at Mission Massage. After just 4 sessions Chris was not only able to give me 99% of my finger's feeling back, but he was also able to loosen my entire back up and cure some lingering pain that I can't remember ever not being there. I've been hunched over a drawing table for 40+ hours a week for over 20 years, so it was no small feat. Like Chris, the Mission Massage space is really personable and has great energy. I super recommend it. Especially if you have a specific issue that needs to be figured out. They obviously know what they're doing. Go go go! read more

Melissa was amazing! Hands down the best massage I've ever had! And it was short notice too...I woke up with a horrible neck pain and she was able to squeeze me in for a 30-minute session. She's a true healer! The facility is right in our South Pas neighborhood and provides other holistic services. Clean and comfortable, Melissa's room is tucked away from the entrance so you get a quiet and relaxing experience. I'll be a regular for sure! Thank you, again, Melissa!!! read more

I injured my neck in a whiplash incident and had difficulty turning it in any direction. It felt so stiff and painful. I decided to try Jan because I knew she was an instructor at a local massage school and figured she would be able to help my specific condition. Given that I was injured, I wanted a highly trained massage therapist who knew which muscles were involved, and would give me a massage that was appropriate for a whiplash injury. Turns out, I was right! Jan confidently assessed my neck, listened to how I had injured it, and gave me a very specific, perfect-pressure massage that greatly relieved the pain and increased my range of motion. I felt a lot better afterwards and know that I recovered faster because of the work Jan did. read more

I have had massages all over the world. I had the good fortune to receive bodywork from both Melissa and Chris. Melissa's massage was very focused and she was able to pinpoint the work I needed to relieve my neck pain. Chris' massage was nurturing and soothing he has great energy in his hands and was able to leave me in a very relaxed state. I recommend both of these massage therapists to anyone looking for a top notch massage at a reasonable price in the area. The space is clean and inviting. They also have a chiropractor and acupuncturist on site. I love the collective nature of this business. read more

I have been getting massage from Jan for about a year now and I am so lucky to have found her! She has such a calming presence and a deep understanding of the body. Being a professional dancer, yoga teacher and surfer I use my body A LOT. She has really helped me through some minor injuries and I always look forward to a session with her. Can't sing her praises enough. read more

I have fibromyalgia and chronic pain. Cindy has been a critical part of my healing process. After months of not being able to do much, including sleep, I found Cindy. She has the most amazing touch and she seems to know intuitively what my body can take and what it needs. Five weeks of massage and I actually have the stamina to do things I wasn't sure I would ever be able to do again. I look forward to our sessions because I not only love her compassion and attitude, I really love how I feel after I see her. Simply the best! read more

Melissa provided the best trigger point session I've ever had. She is really strong and was able to target hard to reach muscles. I let her know I was looking for treatment to help recover from a muscle injury, not for a relaxing massage, and she focused the session on exactly that. It was definitely worth the time and money. read more

Been coming here for about a year now and all the therapists are great. The massages are a full hour long and specific to the area I need worked on. If I need a full on hour on my neck, they do it. If I need a full hour on my wrist, they do that too. What's great is that my insurance covers part of the cost of the massage as well-and they bill it on my behalf! Thanks Mission Massage! read more

Paula is wonderful at her job. She has worked out all my issues from having a sit down job. I have tried other massage therapists in the past but they aren't successful in helping me out with my pain. I highly recommend her! read more

I've had shoulder problems for years. I met with Jan and she took a thorough history before explaining what trigger points were and how they develop. She found several trigger points in my shoulder and after the massage, I could actually move my shoulder more than I had in years! I've met with her a few times now, and each time I gain more mobility. Jan is amazing! read more

Throughout my pregnancy, I saw several massage therapists, but none were like Tracy. Tracy was very attentive, asked smart questions, and tailored the massage to my needs. No wonder she books up so fast! Thank you! read more

Wow. I've had a lot of massages in my life and a lot of different types of body work. I am amazed that very quickly Tracy was able to knit together and assess what's been going on in my body, give me some relief to new areas that popped up, and give me some insights on how to better take care of my body proactively (rather than waiting to get to the point where I needed a massage!). I've been seeing Dr. Charlene Lohmueller for my shoulder (miracle worker), and she suggested that I augment my shoulder treatment in addition to knee and low back pain that has been popping up because I've become more active. I feel so great, informed and empowered. I booked another session immediately with Tracy. Her knowledge, intuitive touch and direct and kind manner were exactly what I was looking for. I look forward to more sessions. read more

I was searching for local massage places and I found this gem. From the photos on yelp, I knew this was THE place. I had neck and shoulder pain for a few days and it didn't seem to go away. I wanted to relax the muscle as I knew going to my regular doctor would be the same as a bottle of Advil. Appointment process was no issue, fast, neat and profession by the owner. When I arrived, I knew for sure this was the place I wanted to be. I was not looking for a "relaxing on the beach" kind of massage. I needed a therapeutic massage, someone knew what he/she was doing based on my needs. That's when I met Jan. Jan was great, fun to talk to and work with. She pointed out areas I had trouble with and what I needed to do. She even gave me tips on how to maintain my trigger points. I know for sure if you are looking for a relaxing massage, this place will totally be able to provide you a relaxing massage. I love the fact this is a legit massage place, not the ones on Fair Oaks. read more

My daughter introduced me to Chris today with a surprise appointment. I get a massage at least once a month due to my back and neck issues. With that said.... Chris was above and beyond talented His specialization and training made my Massage a healing treatment. I have neck areas that typically cannot be worked on due to the excruciating pain. Chris has a tremendous amount of knowledge and intuitive talent. My loss is that I live out of state. My intent will be to schedule at least 4 more healing visits before the year is out. This is not a maintenance Massage. This is healing with purpose read more

Tracy does facio - massage blended with Swedish and she is excellent! She helped relieve some intense tension and also moderate pain I was having post surgery. She's also very professional, and seems very kind and empathetic. Will definitely be back! read more

I first discovered Mission Massage when I saw their promotional sign for a $49 massage. I thought I'd give them a try to see if could get relief for my stiff shoulder. I was booked with Tracy and within the first few minutes of working with her, I knew I was working with someone who knew a lot about the shoulder and wasn't going to be receiving a generic, one-size-fits-all type of massage. She focused on my shoulder and neck and though I was a little sore later that day, the next day I had so much more mobility in my shoulder. I now go to Tracy regularly for shoulder work and it has proved to be a long term solution to my shoulder pain. read more

Melissa is amazing! I have seen many massage therapists but she is the absolute best! She is knowledgeable, caring and truly wants to make you feel better. I have gained more range of motion in the short time that I have seen her and I feel better. The combination of seeing her regularly and receiving chiropractic care from Charlene has been a life changer for me. I highly recommend both of them. read more

I went in recently for a trigger point massage and was helped by Melissa. She was friendly, knowledgeable and very considerate. I've gotten quite a few massages over the years and this by far takes the cake. I'd recommend her to others in a heartbeat. All of my problem areas were addressed and I feel markedly better as a result. I was most impressed by the level of thoroughness and sense of structure of the session. I definitely felt like everything that could've been a factor in my pain was covered. Regarding the facility, it was very chic and clean and overall very professional. Parking was ample and hassle free. I recommend if you're looking for a quality massage at an affordable price you check this place out. They also offer special rates for first time visitors. read more

I was in the Pasadena area visiting family and was experiencing low back pain, probably from sleeping on an air mattress. My low back was feeling seized up and spasmed. One of my family members recommended I see Tracy, from Mission Massage, and I was able to get in with her that day. She was very warm and immediately made me feel at ease. She massaged my low back, helped me stretch it, and I left feeling so much better. What set her apart from other massage therapists I've experienced in the past is that she seemed to really know a lot about muscles and how the low back works. And, she focused on my low back the entire time, which is what I wanted her to do. Thanks Tracy! read more
