I have gone to her twice, and she is by far the best massage therapist I've ever encountered. After spending an hour with her, my mobility has increased, and the tension disappears under her magic hands. I have experienced other massages in the past, but I will only go to Sunnie because she is by far the best I have ever encountered in the LA area. I would highly recommend her to anybody, including all of my friends. walter

This was my second visit for a foot massage here…read more My first visit was with a male therapist (unfortunately I didn't catch his name), and it was excellent. I left generous gratuity after that session and was fully prepared to do the same again, as quality service should always be recognized. That positive experience is the only reason I came back. I am a former massage practitioner myself, and I can say with confidence that during the second visit another therapist showed no understanding of basic muscle anatomy. The pressure felt random and was applied to unsafe areas of the back, including direct pressure on the spine and bones instead of working with muscles. While I was lying face down, excessive pressure on the neck area caused my throat to feel compressed and made it difficult to breathe. At checkout, I left a tip that reflected the quality of the service but still 18%. Staff openly discussed it in their native language right in front of me and then told me there was a "minimum tip" requirement, creating pressure to pay more. This is unacceptable. Similar experiences have been mentioned by other reviewers as well. I believe all clients deserve the same level of professional, respectful service, regardless of who they are and what language they speak. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. Service quality is inconsistent, and pressuring clients for tips is not okay. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this place and will not be returning.

After a full day of sport activity at the beach yesterday, my body was in dire need of muscle relief. I walked-in Sunday morning at DWS for a full-body massage. They have different prices starting from $50 (foot massage) to $60 (body; combo) to $70 acupressure. I chose the 1-hour combo with hot stones. I was met by a female manager/owner. I proceeded to one of their dim lit room suite. It was neat with a relaxing atmosphere. My female masseuse (Mary) is exceptionally skilled, and applied the right amount of body pressure. I lay there with oil on my back and she worked on it thoroughly. And I overheard her say "Wow" in a soft voice while rubbing my upper trapezius and latissimus dorsai muscles. I almost fell asleep during the session. The session ended with my body muscles relieved of tension and ache. Staff were nice and welcoming. I tipped my masseuse $20 and thanked the staff. Overall, I had a great massage spa service. I highly recommend DWS.

Went to the location, small parking but it also have street parking. Read the sign, I forgot which day is no parking but found parking pretty easily on the street. Went in and was in a small "room". The ceiling is open so when the workers are talking in Chinese, you can still hear them. It'll be better if they tried to whisper. The massage itself was really good. There was enough pressure and the lady was not just doing whatever to pass the time. Continously massaging in different areas and the not so common areas like between the toes and hands. Docked a star for when I went to pay she said it was $60 for private room and body/foot massage. I was a little surprised as I asked for the price a day before. The sign said $60 i went from the back due to the parking so didn't see it and got out into the room right away. However since I was satisfied with the massage I just let it go

It was a great first time experience. I went to her for my shoulder I injured as well as a work injury in my low back. She's very attentive to what you tell her and her work is impeccable. Located inside of Foothill Gym!…read more Malie Massage is great for two main reasons. 1 - If your a local and member of Foothill Gym (yes for me), Faith (owner of Malie Massage) is located right there! She doesn't care if you've showered or just finished a workout. She just wants to work. I personally prefer showering before any massage, I feel bad for stinking :P 2 - If you are not getting the massage you want, Faith is open to professionally communicate and do the style that fits you. This is why she advertises Custom Massages. Each person has different aches, pains, body types. FOR EXAMPLE: I really enjoy a rough back massage with forearms. Faith was not used to that, but she picked it up in the first session I had asked this. She not only picked it up but created her own style with it. Great job! Massage Room: Since she was offered a room to do massages, this room has had a huge makeover. Before and after pictures would be a huge difference. She has effectively created a piece of tranquility in this space, for her clients. I could feel her passion for having a beautiful space to use for her clients to really relax. She did it, it's very relaxing in there. Complimentary Service: Aroma Therapy has been generously added to each massage, without asking. Parking: Parking Lot is available behind the structure. IF that is full, parking along the street (S Primrose Ave) or the plaza across the street is available. Overall Service: Faith is customizable, open to hearing how you relax from massage. This makes it well worth her asking price, once she adapts to your preferred style. It is much more enjoyable to have a massage therapist who learns to work with their clients, Faith does that. The worst type of massage therapist is one who doesn't listen to their clients. In my opinion, Faith does not do that and her client's are top priority. She definitely wants each and every client to have a great experience. I personally go once a month for maintenance, as the price is high for me. I would recommend to have massage once a week, but I don't personally have that kind of cash.. yet :) Recommendation: Her specialty seems to be -Pin-pointing with elbow, great for kneading out those pesky knots. -Great massage between the neck (T1 of spine) to the back of head (occipital bone). This is her finisher and you could actually fall asleep after it, but you have to get out for her next client haha. -Assisted stretching if you also need that. -Communicate Communicate Communicate, this is key to customizing your massage. (More pics will be added of the room from my next massage, I've added pictures of the outside/parking for now) Done, pics added!
