Food is pretty good here. Fried chicken, queso, burgers, fries, and the avocado salad are pretty darned tasty. The shrimp tacos were great the first time I had them. However, the 2nd time was not so hot. The cook totally covered the corn tortilla (soft) in grease when heating them up. My hands were coated in grease. So, I sent them back. The moonshine cocktails are very good. However, when ordering a regular drink like bourbon and coke or water - there was hardly any booze in it and it would take so long to get the drink to me, there wouldn't be any ice left. That being said, the service is spotty if you go during the evenings. However, it is a fun and cool place to hang out! read more

We tried this bustling, hip place for date night on a Friday evening. The inside was full, but we got a spot on the cute patio (it was warm enough, but they also had heaters). The theme here is all about moonshine whiskey, from the cocktails to the food. Our waiter, Neil, was very attentive and made some great suggestions regarding the drinks. He also would time our food just right and check in on us throughout our stay without being intrusive. I had the blue moon mojito (blueberry infused moonshine with lime, mint and sugar), which was very good. Not too sweet, not too strong, and very refreshing. And later I tried the Smokey blackberry moonshine, which was very good as well. Food wise we tried the moonshine BBQ wings, which are not cheap at $10 for 8 wings, but they were rather large and tasted delicious. Just the right mix of tangy and sweet, with crispy skin and tender meat. My wife chose the Bulgogi tacos as entree and she enjoyed them a lot. I only tried a small bite, so I can't say much about it. I had the fried chicken, which comes with a side of mashed potatoes and jalapeno marmalade. The chicken pieces were thigh and breast, but completely boneless!!! The coating was wonderfully crunchy with great seasoning and it covered juicy and tender chicken. The marmalade was good, but I barely used it, because the chicken by itself, with a little lemon squeezed on it, was just too good to mess with it. The mashed potatoes tasted very good as well. I suspect they add some cheese in them, because they were rather dense, but the flavor was definitely on point. We ended our meal with the Scotch cake, an olive oil cake with butterscotch glaze and fruit compote. It was a rather large slice, so definitely good for sharing. And it was very good, not too sweet, and a great finale for our dinner. Overall, while a little on the pricey side, this is definitely a place we'd come back to for a nice dinner for two or some drinks. read more

The best turkey burger I've ever had. Sooo good! The outside area is nice and service was good. Definitely recommend!

Mash'd is a great local restaurant amidst a plaza of chains. It has a great bar/patio atmosphere with very friendly and knowledgable service. Both our host and servers could rattle off details about almost every item on the menu. Everything here is made from scratch. We decided to go with the Ole Smoky Blackberry moonshine, turkey burger with fries, avocado bomb salad, and some clam chowder to start. Clam chowder: Really good! Nice and thick. One of the better clam chowders for a non-seafood focused restaurant. Ole Smoky Blackberry: it tasted a lot like blackberry. You could barely taste alcohol! For moonshine, that's pretty good. Turkey burger & fries: So fresh! The avocados were a great touch, and the tomatoes were so juicy. What really topped it off was the lemon aioli sauce... sooo good. The fries were amazing as well. Very crispy, seasoned shoestring fries. Avocado bomb: I added grilled chicken to my salad. The avocado is really good with bits of roasted corn and green onions. I'm not a huge fan of cheese, which was also mixed into the avocado, but the zesty lime vinaigrette dressing made it better. Plus, I love arugula! The chicken was kind of on the flat, dry side. Overall, very cute place that is worth a try! read more

Great food and spirits. Awesome staff as well. Nice ambience. I recommend for a fun and chill evening.

I decided to try this place out on a Saturday afternoon. After looking at the menu for a couple of minutes, I decided to go with the Babyback sandwich. I was pretty disappointed with this plate as the fries were super salty and half of the sandwich wasn't on my plate (it's way too small). The half of the sandwich that was there was too sweet, and for my personal taste, the flavor combinations didn't mix well. Luckily, a manager was doing his rounds and quickly offered an alternative. The second time around, I went with the smoked mac and cheese with fried chicken. The fried chicken was good- well seasoned, juicy and nicely breaded (which most restaurants don't do well at all). However, that mac and cheese was nothing to write home about. The pasta and sauce consistency were good, but the taste was slightly bitter and lacked seasoning. Unfortunately, the menu, doesn't have many enticing options, and the food is overpriced considering portion sizes. Service was mediocre- I think our waiter was new to the service industry. The manager that came in to save the day was awesome. But, overall, my personal experience here was quite disappointing. read more

This place is fun and the food is fantastic. We split all our meals because they are large. I had the fried chicken and my daughter ordered the ribs. We also split the sloppy joe dip, white bean hummus and cheese dip as appetizers. This was my second time and if I get the opPortunity I will go back. read more

The food here was just ok in my opinion. I felt like the food was sitting on a hot plate in the back. I ordered the ribs and they were a little salty. My friend order the fresh catch fish sandwich and that looked really good. read more

Here for the first time and tried their wings pretty good. Only reason I gave them a 4 is because they gave me the wrong type of wings. But it was corrected once I told Shane. So shout out to Shane, I'm all about good customer service it will make or break me. Therefore I will be back! Cater2u food critic! read more

The ambiance of this restaurant is very cool. I love the moonshine bottles on the wall in the bar area and the picnic tables are a unique idea. We were here on a Sunday at lunch time, meaning we could utilize the regular menu and the brunch options. We started with the "serious queso", a queso seriously different than your other melted cheese appetizers it has Abita beer and some other quirky additions. It is delicious, but what really helps it stand out are the tortilla chips it comes with. I got the "Mash'd Tator Explosion" from the brunch menu - a skillet filled with mashed potatoes, cheddar cheese, scrambled eggs and bacon. The bacon and potatoes were incredible, but something was missing. I think maybe I needed some salsa. It comes with ranchero sauce, but it was way too spicy for my taste buds. Everyone else's food looked great. Like "I think we'll have to come back" great. read more

Mash'd is a unique and modern restaurant that expertly cooks up fresh dishes on the spot you won't have many other places. The manager, Mike, introduced himself and gave me some background on the history of the dinner spot. I learned about their "Moonshine" and how they cook all their dishes freshly upon receiving the order. The food itself is delicious and refreshing. The "moonshine" was tasty and strong--the way it should be. The only complaint I really had is everyone that worked at Mash'd seemed to gloat with a specific ostentatious air everywhere they walked, like their food was pure ambrosia to anyone that set foot inside. Confidence is one thing to wield... This was different. read more

This was our 2nd time going to Mash'd and both visits have been perfect. Our first visit was dinner and our second was brunch - my wife got the Eggsplosion (the few bites I had were great) and I got The Unholy One. Out of the many brunch meals I've had in my time, this was the best meal I've ever had. The French toast combined with the fried chicken and egg + syrup were so satisfying! The side dish included were pan seared potatoes that had salsa overtop. This place has everything you need from a great vibe to food - you'll never go wrong eating here! read more

Just ate here. Walked in and was greeted immediately. No wait at all, though it was only Monday at 6pm- this place might be a lot more busy/crowded on the weekends. Decor is great. Very open, lots of dark wood and different tables.. Bar, small and big booths, tall intimate tables, etc. I got some frozen moonshine drink (can't remember the exact name but it was delicious) and the bulgogi tacos (SO, SO GOOD). Prices are very decent for the quality/portions of food and ambiance of this place. Will definitely be back. read more

Best F'n Fried Chicken I've had in some time. We sat at the bar to order dinner. At that time I had not been schooled in the finer notes of Moonshine. Our barkeep was more than happy to point out the types, and flavor profiles. I enjoyed his recommendation of the Platte Valley. Great place, fun people and awesome food. read more

AWESOME first time here! Casey was our server, and he was very knowledgeable about all of the menu items, as well as the drinks. We tried just about all of the mixed cocktails between our table, and every one of them was spot on. As far as food goes we all loved what we got, the only small detail was my wife's Caesar salad was swimming in the dressing, but that's easily fixed by getting it on the side for personal preference. I had the Southwest Egg Fries and they were awesome as well. We will be back for sure! Especially for happy hour! read more

Yum! The ribs are awesome. Definitely eat those and the Meatloaf. Also the mashed potatoes are delicious BUT the best thing to order and eat is the fried chicken pepperoni bites. I seriously could eat a thousand of those, Diet be dammed! Too wonderful for words. Also the hubby likes the beer selection. Yummy. read more

Yummy, soooooo yummy. Please, if nothing else, order the queso. Hands-down the best queso I have eaten, and it's what I order whenever offered on the menu. I had the tacos and my husband the chicken and biscuits. Each of us loved our meal. Do note that the half size chicken and biscuit plate is still quite large. I am sad that we were simply too full to try the vanilla bean and white chocolate cake. It sounded amazing, and I may need to come back JUST to try that alone. If this place weren't a 40 min drive, we'd be here quite often. Probably a good thing it won't be often, for each time we do come will be a treat. Service was great too! read more

What a cute trendy spot in Frisco. Very rustic decor and moonshine. They are known for their moonshine y'all!! What could be better than that?! My husband got the chili cheese dogs and Cesar salad. He loved it. I got the chicken Sandwich and fries, delish! My daughter got the kids grilled cheese, not what she expected, so she didn't eat it. Although, I thought it was tasty, instead of traditional bread it was made with pretzel bread. Anyhoo, she's six, what does she know about good eating?! They also have these amazing drinks called the Illegal Endeavor-a MUST try. I had one and it kicked my butt. But hey, I'm a lightweight! Either way, you won't be disappointed. I really enjoyed their food. My husband, daughter and I went for dinner Sunday evening around six and there was a decent crowd but not crowded which was great. Our waitress was very nice. As we were looking at the menu trying to decide what to get, one of the managers (I assume) came by and said the kitchen made an extra queso and asked if we wanted it free of charge. Of course, we aren't going to say no!!! It was very good and we would definitely get it again. I got the chicken Tortilla Construction Zone which was a combination of chicken, rice, cheese, veggies, mashed beans served in a skillet with tortillas. Awesome! I could only eat half of it and I was stuffed. My husband got the BBQ which he and my one year old loved. It came with rice and a spicy coleslaw. He doesn't normally eat coleslaw buy he enjoyed this one. We also ordered a side of their loaded mashed potatoes and they were good too. My husband enjoyed some type of mixed drink and I tried the peach moonshine. I'm not really a drinker and should have thought twice about that decision. After two sips, I was done - too strong for me but tasted good. We will definitely go back for the food! My husband would say for the drinks too. read more

I was a little nervous about eating here, I usually am with new places. But everything was amazing. I had the Avocado Bomb salad with Gulf Shrimp, I was surprised by the size...it was smaller than I was expecting, but it was very filling. I don't think I could have eaten more than what was served. We also had The Chicken sandwich which was delicious!!! Definitely ordering that next time. The Bulgogi tacos were also really good. I highly recommend trying this place! They need one closer to Grapevine! Edit to add: the staff was amazing. So helpful and nice. Their women's restroom is perfection. Four different Mrs. Meyers soap, tampons, floss, mouthwash, and Mrs. Meyers lotion. read more

BF and I came for brunch on Sunday. Mash'd has been on my top 5 places to try this summer. Our waiter was super cool and knowledgable about the menu and concept. All the food is made from scratch and they specialize in moonshine. I started off with a peach mimosa which was refreshing but I wish there was more peach. We ordered the serious queso but subbed the sausage for chicken and added pretzel bread. The queso was great but a little watery for our taste. I ordered the cooped up which features grilled chicken, slaw, and mashed potatoes. The description of their potatoes sounded so good but after trying them they were very gummy and abnormally thick. Such a shame because they had great flavor. The slaw was probably the best thing on the plate. Grilled chicken was just standard... it wasn't dry but the seasoning was kept simple. BF ordered the parmesan wings and had no complaints! Personally I will skip the queso from now on and try some of those moonshine cocktails next time. read more

The menu drew us in and loved sitting at the bar for dinner, the way the bar inside opens up to the outside gives almost that beach bar vibe. Super cool. And inside a the ambiance is also great. Bartenders were cool. The food was a let down across the board. Ordered siracha garlic wings that had zero hint of siracha and overwhelming taste of Parmesan. We asked if we got the right wings and were told yep. Ordered ranch n blue cheese with but only got one. Only ate half of them as they were swimming in grease! One of us had the chili dog.... really salty and the dog itself tasted off. Last was the pepperoni pizza. It's like a deep dish which we are so down fir but the bottom was barely cooked and again entire thing super greasy. One star for food, 4 fir bar drinks and surroundings. Will go back for drinks only read more

We got the rebellious burger and the half size chicken parmesan. Both were so yummy! The mayo and sunny side up egg on the burger made it taste so good. I got a side of caesar salad but it tasted funny so I'd recommend going with the fries. The half size chicken parmesan is pretty big even for one person. I would recommend the full size if you want to share. We started off with the corn and cheese appetizer and that tasted like southern comfort. It came with soft tortilla chips but we requested their regular chips instead. Their regular chips are seasoned so they also taste ah-mazing. The only time I've seen chips like that is at Fuzzy's. I will be coming back! read more

Food is pretty good, but the service is slow. The best thing about it was Jet Platt playing live music. I think he's a regular here. We were blown away. I really liked the food I got here! I'd recommend their menu and items from their lunch menu over anything else. I really enjoyed their Mahi tacos and the garlic nots. They were actually the best I've had any place. My partner and I visited on a Saturday night. It was slow and we were seated quickly. We ordered the 16pc wings, seasoned fries, and queso. The queso was very soupy and oily from the ground beef. We had to send it back unfortunately. The fries were smaller than shoestring fries, with no crisp. I was expecting them to at least be crunchy. The wings were amazing though! They were crisp, flavorful, and pretty big. Lastly, the customer service was severely lacking. Overall our experience was just ok, worth a try if you're in the area. read more

Fantastic food, friendly and knowledgeable (but not too pushy) service, and some really unique aspects like a live Twitter feed TV and YouTube auto-playing channel next to the typical sports stations at the bar make Mash'd a restaurant my wife and I will go out of our way to visit again!
