    Samosa Chaat

I am floored this place has any reviews less than four stars. The best Indian food I've had in Denver by a long shot. Highly recommended. Good service, nice atmosphere, and good prices. Samosa chaat pictured.

Onion dosa... that thing is huge!

One of the few eateries that is open later on a Sunday, and isn't fast food. The food was very nice and tasty, but the facilities left a bit to wonder. From a food perspective, everything was delicious and very tasty. The onion dosa was delicious, with three different dipping sauces it was easily a win to me. The garlic naan was a great combination of crisp and chewiness, and full of garlicky flavor. The palak paneer was also delish. Between those three dishes, it was more than enough for two people. The service was good, they were courteous and responsive. Did not feel pressure from them to hurry up and finish, despite the late hour - we wrapped up about 20 min before their posted closing time (with no one else in the restaurant). The facilities and interior... that's where it kinda fell apart. The seats felt dated and the whole interior felt dark. The bathroom was not up to snuff... without going into specifics... it could use some maintenance and clean up. It wasn't gross, but not fully comfortable washing your hands and going out to eat. Maybe grab to go and you'll have a different experience.

The food was excellent! They made JAIN food for us and all the food was superb tasting. They made jain sambar, chilli paneer, baby corn pepper fries, dal tadka, dal makhini and paneer tikka masala. The service was also good and the ambience was great too. Highly recommend this place for people looking for JAIN (no onion, no garlic, no potatoes) options.

I like encouraging small businesses so I really wanted to give this one five stars but, I need to be honest . I have been here twice. First time I left without eating because not a single server stopped by to take my order or even give me a glass of water after waiting 15 minutes. They walked past me a few times to wait on the only other couple in the restaurant but treated me like I'm invisible. Possibly because I'm an older single women & I had read that we become invisible at this age. Today I happened to be in the neighborhood at lunch time. The AC wasn't working. Servers kept walking past me like I don't exist. Couple seated after me got water & silver. I didn't get any even after asking. I got up & got my own silver & helped myself to the buffet which had mostly empty trays or trays that you have to scrape the bottom for food. They weren't making any effort to refill the trays. What little food I got was authentic South Indian but the hot restaurant without AC & terrible service take away from the experience. As I paid, I told the dude how I didn't even get water to drink. He apologized. I didn't feel like they deserved a tip for their lack of service. I don't know who the manager is but he clearly does not manage. It could be a great restaurant cause they obviously have a good chef. But the terrible service & lack of attention to customers is going to take away any business they could attract

    Nice brunch to go.

I worked in India during my career and fell in love with the food. One of my favorite breakfast/brunch dishes is sambhar and idli. I have been eating at Masalaa for years pre-COVID at their buffet. Now that they are on my drive from the stable, I stopped to order sambhar and idli as it had been a favorite of mine on the buffet. I was greeted with a smile and a nod, my order taken, and I was talked into a Chai to go. I was so pleased with my brunch, two large idli, a nice container of sambhar, and two sauces, tamarind and cilantro. And of course, the chai was as advertised, delicious. I paid around $10 for my meal and thought it was a great deal by today's standards. The dining room is small and cozy for when I decide to eat in. I know this will become a regular.

By far the BEST Indian cuisine I've had! I ordered the Paneer Tiki Masala and Vegetable Korma and both were incredible, but even more delicious was the garlic naan! Also had the Chai which was also amazing. I don't know what this place only has 3 1/2 stars! Service and Ambiance were both just fine. It's a smaller dining room but had problems being seated for lunch. The entire menu is vegetarian and vegan also gluten free options. Indian food is not on my top 10, nor vegan, but this place will become a regular for me!

They have very soothing spa music playing (a little odd, but also charming). You can see that the owners probably did their own repairs and upgrades. We ordered cocktails and saw that they used top shelf alcohol. The food was very flavorful. Not the Indian flavors that I'm used to, but delicious. The tandoori chicken pieces were massive and they did not skimp on the sides of rice like other Indian restaurants. The garlic naan was paper thin like a roti and infused with so much garlic! Our server was very sweet and attentive. She carefully made both our cocktails and when we complimented her, she was humbled and honored. The chicken was crispy on the outside and tender inside, tossed in a savory, spicy sauce with plenty of fresh peppers and onions. It had a great "zing" without being overwhelmingly salty. * Saag Paneer: This was comfort food at its best. The spinach was creamy and vibrant, flavored just perfect. The Verdict: If you're looking for a place that respects the unique spices of both regions, this is it. The kitchen clearly takes pride in the details. We'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu. The place was clean with warm, dim lighting that makes it feel intimate enough for a date but relaxed enough for a casual weeknight dinner. I will be back again to try more.

I first stumbled upon Coriander about a year ago. It is hands down one of the best Indian restaurants I have ever come across. Light, buttery, crispy, thin but still somehow fluffy AND chewy. Their food is so good that I asked to eat inside instead of taking my to go order. Even though it was Sunday afternoon on Mother's Day they were extremely accommodating. The interior is great; solid playlist, nice atmosphere. If there is any takeaway from my review it's that you should stop looking and try them out ASAP. I may start to plan my trips around them, out of 75-100 Indian restaurants so far this is probably #1

The service was okay. It met our minimum expectation. But, the worst part of our experience was being automatically charged a "Large Party" charge of 20%. We had a party of 4 adults and a 3-yr old. Most restaurants charge a "Large Party" charge when the party is 6 people or more. The tipping culture has gotten so out-of-hand now. People who "just do their" job are wanting/expecting 20% or more tip??? Because of this, we're not returning to Coriander.

What a privilege!!…read more By using the coupon I got when I placed a delivery order for a few items only a week or so ago, my daughter and I got us... -Papadam -Daal Tadka -Steamed Chicken Momo (The code on the coupon discounted our total for 15%; dine-in rate is/was 10%) This was an online order for a pickup so we actually got to go to the store to pick it up. I have been inside it once before but I really didn't remember any of the interior. It's quite roomy with mostly red color. It's pretty clean as well. All the way to the south of the building is where the bar is located. Quite the ambiance for sure. The man behind the counter was very pleasant to me. He was still packing our food so he said it'd be a few minutes. No worries; I wasn't in a hurry or anything!! Once food was meticulously put in a large brown bag, he politely handed it to me with a very meaningful "Thank you!" What a nice gesture that was. The great smell of the food was emitting from the bag; the hearty smell filled the entire car where all we could think of was devouring the food. Once home, we immediately proceeded to the mother/daughter mealtime. -Steamed Chicken Momo: By far the best momo we have ever eaten. Amazing dish with no flaws. We almost fainted as we ate it (ha ha!!) I know this is a bit of an exaggeration but it was that good. -Daal Tadka (mild): I am a big fan of lentil based dishes and this (along with the other lentil based one named Daal Makhani on the menu) is a delightful non-meat option. Daal Makhani does have a noticeable amount of oil used in the dish but this yellow lentil dish is lighter in the oil content. This also mesmerized our palates where we became mute as we took each bite to savor it. Simply amazing. -Papadam: Indian version of tortilla chips is the best way to describe it. They are so light; these are guilty-free side dish to munch on with a sauces of your choice. -Rice Pudding: This was a shocking find. The chef's compliment or whatever it was, the restaurant kindly included this in our bag free of charge. What a nice gesture to appreciate us the customers!! Thank you,Chutney for this kind and lovely gift. 10 out of 10 takeout experience to say the least!

I was super excited to try this location because they had a later than average lunch hours (going til 4pm). Unfortunately, there were several food safety concerns. Many dishes were not properly chilled or warmed and appeared to be sitting out for long periods. Most items were only lukewarm unless they had just been freshly placed. I also noticed a small roach near the sauce area. I did not mention it to staff, as it was in plain sight and appeared to be a juvenile, so I assume they are already aware and possibly addressing the issue. Because of these issues, along with some dirty dishes and glasses, I would not recommend the lunch buffet or plan to return, despite enjoying the flavors and service.
