    Chicken shawarma

I know for a FACT this is a smaller portion than a year ago. I used to love this place but clearly it's gone downhill. I went in about 12:30 and it was EMPTY which should have been a sign. There was one worker there who did not look pleased to be there and did not understand what I wanted. I ordered the chicken shawarma and the chicken masala and she did not ask what sauces I wanted and did not include pita bread. I don't think I can continue to support this business, the food is not the same.

Very delicious meal and quick service! I was very impressed with my experience and the inside was very clean. I would definitely go back.

Chai & Chai is one of my favorite Indian/Arabic restaurants in the Denver/Aurora areas. I seriously get it once a week. Everything is delicious, but I love the chicken tiki masala and the baba ganoush. The workers are always so kind and helpful too!

Lamb shanks for a group event

Our international food group came here tonight. We had the choice of a buffet or ordering off the menu. The hubs and I have never had Jordanian food before so we wanted to try as much as we could. The buffet was our pick. We had so much food to sample. The lamb shank with yogurt sauce is a very traditional food from Jordan. The lamb fell off the bone and onto a bed of delicious yellow rice with vermicelli and almonds. A ladle of the yogurt sauce transformed the dish into something magical with no hint of the lamb gaminess. I also really liked the cheese samosa and potato samosa. The cheese was salty almost like a feta but not quite. The potato samosa was in a really nice pastry and jam packed with potato. The food was both Indian and Jordanian but so good. Other tasty dishes were the baba ganoush, hummus, paneer in tomato sauce and a Jordanian eggplant, tomato and beef dish. The baklava was good too and a sweet way to end the meal, however it was doughier than other baklavas I've had. Overall a stellar night and I would recommend this to anyone. Very, very friendly staff too!

The Menu, we had for my friends who do not do the BUFFET, May 17th 2014

We had our MEETUP here. That evening was on Saturday May 17th 2014. I have spoken to one of the Chef, and she is willing to provide BUFFET for us. At $25 per person is DEFINITELY A STEAL DEAL! Chef Enas indeed go ALL WAY out to provide ALOT OF FOOD for us. Some of my friends also opt to order OFF the Menu, in which majority liked what they had. All in all it was a Successful Event. Then why the 4 stars? Actually it is 4.5 stars coz at the beginning, we have to repeatly requesting for water. Its organized chaos. Furthermore, with limited parking space, coz a lot of my friends are UNFAMILIAR with this Neighborhood, let alone location. They are indeed short-handed in terms of Staffs. Even one of the Staffs happened to be one of our Meetup members, in which I found out on this actual day of May 17th 2014. If I am NOT mistaken, during this evening, even the Owner, Venu also helped in the running of this event. The Food everyone like. Its a mixture of both Indian and Jordanian Cuisine, that contains, lamb, chicken and vegetarian dishes. By the end of our Feasting Dinner, we are given Mint Tea and some Desserts such as Baklava. We are indeed stuffed! Now to return is definitely, "YES" but it will be awhile. I am hoping they can make the Hyderabadi Dum Biryani as a REGULAR Menu instead as a Monthly, or Seasonally... From there who knows this establishment deserved that 5 stars in our books. Furthermore, I grew up eating Hyderabadi Dum Biryani back in Singapore. I do hope those Hyderabadi Dum Biryani can blow my taste bud to the Max! Thank you Chai & Chai for providing a memorable evening for us, to enjoy. We did enjoyed the FEASTING! Above anything else, we hope and pray for your business undertakings to prosper to many more years to come and to give a fresh take of the cuisine that you offer on Colorado Soil. Thank you. @134/2014

I get to write about this wonderful Indian restaurant again. What a privilege!!…read more By using the coupon I got when I placed a delivery order for a few items only a week or so ago, my daughter and I got us... -Papadam -Daal Tadka -Steamed Chicken Momo (The code on the coupon discounted our total for 15%; dine-in rate is/was 10%) This was an online order for a pickup so we actually got to go to the store to pick it up. I have been inside it once before but I really didn't remember any of the interior. It's quite roomy with mostly red color. It's pretty clean as well. All the way to the south of the building is where the bar is located. Quite the ambiance for sure. The man behind the counter was very pleasant to me. He was still packing our food so he said it'd be a few minutes. No worries; I wasn't in a hurry or anything!! Once food was meticulously put in a large brown bag, he politely handed it to me with a very meaningful "Thank you!" What a nice gesture that was. The great smell of the food was emitting from the bag; the hearty smell filled the entire car where all we could think of was devouring the food. Once home, we immediately proceeded to the mother/daughter mealtime. -Steamed Chicken Momo: By far the best momo we have ever eaten. Amazing dish with no flaws. We almost fainted as we ate it (ha ha!!) I know this is a bit of an exaggeration but it was that good. -Daal Tadka (mild): I am a big fan of lentil based dishes and this (along with the other lentil based one named Daal Makhani on the menu) is a delightful non-meat option. Daal Makhani does have a noticeable amount of oil used in the dish but this yellow lentil dish is lighter in the oil content. This also mesmerized our palates where we became mute as we took each bite to savor it. Simply amazing. -Papadam: Indian version of tortilla chips is the best way to describe it. They are so light; these are guilty-free side dish to munch on with a sauces of your choice. -Rice Pudding: This was a shocking find. The chef's compliment or whatever it was, the restaurant kindly included this in our bag free of charge. What a nice gesture to appreciate us the customers!! Thank you,Chutney for this kind and lovely gift. 10 out of 10 takeout experience to say the least!

I was super excited to try this location because they had a later than average lunch hours (going til 4pm). Unfortunately, there were several food safety concerns. Many dishes were not properly chilled or warmed and appeared to be sitting out for long periods. Most items were only lukewarm unless they had just been freshly placed. I also noticed a small roach near the sauce area. I did not mention it to staff, as it was in plain sight and appeared to be a juvenile, so I assume they are already aware and possibly addressing the issue. Because of these issues, along with some dirty dishes and glasses, I would not recommend the lunch buffet or plan to return, despite enjoying the flavors and service.

Samosa: I love the tomato curry dipping sauce, its absolutely complimentary and delicious. 2. Veggie Pakora: a bit too dough for my liking. Its almost like a latka, very thick and filling. I wish it came with the tomato curry instead of the chutneys. Entree: 1. Chicken Korma: very nutty and similar to butter chicken. Extremely mild and such a good flavor. 2. Chicken Tikki Masala: a bit more of a hit on spice, but more pungent too. I liked this one but prefer the korma. Naans: I'm pretty sure I've tried all of them now and they are HUGE. I feel like one per person is good. My favs are the garlic naan and the special naan. Both are well priced for how much you get.

Large glass for $4.79; I was served by Ashok. He was attentive. I got the Mushroom Manchurian appetizer. I requested Indian hot spice levels and it was. Next was the Chicken Shahenshah, a dish with tender chicken cooked in a sauce of coconut and fennel. I asked for this entree to be served Indian hot. Very good. It was served with a large bowl of yellow basmati rice. I ate 1/2 and the rest home. They offer another favorite dessert, Gujar Halwa. This is a sweetened finely chopped hot carrot pudding. Yummy.
