I get to write about this wonderful Indian restaurant again. What a privilege!! By using the coupon I got when I placed a delivery order for a few items only a week or so ago, my daughter and I got us... -Papadam -Daal Tadka -Steamed Chicken Momo (The code on the coupon discounted our total for 15%; dine-in rate is/was 10%) This was an online order for a pickup so we actually got to go to the store to pick it up. I have been inside it once before but I really didn't remember any of the interior. It's quite roomy with mostly red color. It's pretty clean as well. All the way to the south of the building is where the bar is located. Quite the ambiance for sure. The man behind the counter was very pleasant to me. He was still packing our food so he said it'd be a few minutes. No worries; I wasn't in a hurry or anything!! Once food was meticulously put in a large brown bag, he politely handed it to me with a very meaningful "Thank you!" What a nice gesture that was. The great smell of the food was emitting from the bag; the hearty smell filled the entire car where all we could think of was devouring the food. Once home, we immediately proceeded to the mother/daughter mealtime. -Steamed Chicken Momo: By far the best momo we have ever eaten. Amazing dish with no flaws. We almost fainted as we ate it (ha ha!!) I know this is a bit of an exaggeration but it was that good. -Daal Tadka (mild): I am a big fan of lentil based dishes and this (along with the other lentil based one named Daal Makhani on the menu) is a delightful non-meat option. Daal Makhani does have a noticeable amount of oil used in the dish but this yellow lentil dish is lighter in the oil content. This also mesmerized our palates where we became mute as we took each bite to savor it. Simply amazing. -Papadam: Indian version of tortilla chips is the best way to describe it. They are so light; these are guilty-free side dish to munch on with a sauces of your choice. -Rice Pudding: This was a shocking find. The chef's compliment or whatever it was, the restaurant kindly included this in our bag free of charge. What a nice gesture to appreciate us the customers!! We visited for the weekend buffet. The food had nice flavor, particularly the curries and naan, and the service was friendly and attentive. I was super excited to try this location because they had a later than average lunch hours (going til 4pm). Unfortunately, there were several food safety concerns. Many dishes were not properly chilled or warmed and appeared to be sitting out for long periods. Most items were only lukewarm unless they had just been freshly placed. I also noticed a small roach near the sauce area. I did not mention it to staff, as it was in plain sight and appeared to be a juvenile, so I assume they are already aware and possibly addressing the issue. Because of these issues, along with some dirty dishes and glasses, I would not recommend the lunch buffet or plan to return, despite enjoying the flavors and service. read more

The food was excellent! I went there with a friend. We ordered chicken Tikka masala and sag paneer with butter naan! I had previously ordered Saag Paneer and had it delivered but I had not gone to the restaurant! The gentleman who served us was respectful, informative and attentive! Found out they serve a buffet on Friday through Sunday. Will definitely go on a Friday next time to try all of their food options! The place looks nice and it's clean! I ordered from Chutney Indian Cuisine while traveling and staying in a hotel, and I made a specific request for cutlery since I had no access to any. The food arrived on time, but unfortunately with no cutlery -- meaning I couldn't eat any of it. When I called to ask for a solution, I was simply told they were busy and forgot. I asked what I was supposed to do given my situation, and the only response I received was "sorry." No attempt to fix the issue, no alternative offered. In the end, the food might as well have gone straight into the bin. Really disappointing experience for something that could have been easily avoided. read more

Heard about Chutneys in a local article about very interesting and delicious Indian food and couldn't resist a trip for a lunchtime buffet. Not a fan of buffets but the assortment of flavors and dishes in an Indian one, that is heartedly recommended, is tough to pass up. Chutneys' food is delicious! The customer service is first class, parking is zero problem at all, the restaurant is clean and spacious. What a wonderful Indian restaurant! I ate here while waiting for my car to be serviced and my waiter took good care of me. Super nice gentleman that was prompt when I needed something and made sure everything was up to my expectations. The butter chicken and garlic naan is my go-to and this was one of my favorites. I wish it was a little bit spicier so next time I would order the hot instead of medium. This place never disappoints! New management and ownership recently. I had a lovely lunch recently and we enjoyed sharing the chicken tiki masala, the combination curry (tender lamb, chicken and shrimp) with some rice and garlic naan. The service is always very friendly and there is lots of seating from booths or tables for small or large groups. It's located in a shopping center with lots of parking. The menu is very extensive, but I always enjoy my meal when I try a new item or entrée. The restaurant also has an app that you can order takeout from and receive 10% off. Check it out! While browsing Facebook, an ad for this place came up. I was announcing the lunch/afternoon buffet service. We love lunch buffets, especially Indian. In the past, we have eaten here a few times and always loved it. But, decided to check out the buffet. Four of us went there this week. It was so nice to walk into the place and see nicely set tables and a cool temperature on a very hot day. We were greeted by the owner who acknowledged that he remembered us from other visits. The buffet presentation was fabulous. Each item was well labeled. Naturally, we each started with out favorite items. Mine is Sag Paneer. That is spinach with paneer cheese. Next, chicken tikka masala. I spotted the onion bhaji, and had to have it. This dish is thinly sliced onions that are coated in a chickpea batter and deep friend. Each other person in our group of four made their selections and headed to the table. Each one of us were thrilled with the quality and taste of each of the dishes. Fresh Naan Bread was brought to our table. Needless to say, we didn't leave the place with empty stomachs. You can bet we will return in very short order. read more

My husband and I love Indian lunch buffets and are always looking for them. Last week Chutney India Cuisine came up for an Aurora search. We were pleased to enter this strip mall location to see nicely set tables with cloth napkins and shiny wine goblets with good water (some restaurants do not have drinkable water). Fresh made butter or garlic naan are offered and are wonderfully puffy on arrival. My favorite red tandoori chicken was delicious and the buffet had several other chicken dishes (curry, tikka masala, chili, Indian butter), vegetables (spinach sag paneer), two types of rice (one biryani). Warm rice pudding is addictive. So tasty we made a return visit within 4 days, but red tandoori chicken was not on the buffet. Owner said red tandoori chicken was on alternating days on the buffet, so I suggest if you want to be sure to have it, call to make sure. Tasty buffet! read more

The tikka masala and vindaloo are the best I've ever had, but there is one special curry that's a must try... Rogan Josh The Rogan Josh experience (not to be confused with the Joe Rogan experience) is life changing. Deep layered flavors of ginger, garlic, onion, and kashmiri chili powder. I literally crave it now and must go at least once every few weeks. You have to get some garlic naan to dip, and raita to cool everything down. I notice when I sit down to eat a majority of the orders are takeout or delivery. (Uber eats,door dash, etc.) Do yourself a favor and go experience this place in person. Have a chat with Yogi (who I presume is the owner) and he will tell you how everything is homeade and that the Rogan Josh tastes so great due to cooking down for hours and hours. Another yummy Indian cuisine spot in the Aurora area! I ordered through DoorDash for delivery. The order showed up promptly and hot. I ordered the chicken tikka masala and saag paneer hot spice level. The chicken tikka masala was so savory and flavorful. The sauce was so good!! The meat was a little dry. But I can overlook that due to the taste. It was that good! The saag paneer you ask? Also delicious. Also spice level hot. Many cheese cubes, which I enjoyed. You don't always get that many. Amazing. Food came out after some time but that is because they cooked it authentically, slowly and with care - you can tell by the quality of taste! We had the Biryani Vegetable rice, garlic naan bread and Chicken Tikka Masala for about $35 total. Perfect for sharing. So good. The staff even brought this light sauce to help neutralize our taste it was too spicy. Honestly, that sauce was great to dip the naan in! Chai tea was not on the menu but available on request. What a lovely restaurant! Much bigger inside than I expected it to be, given that it's in a strip mall filled with many stores and restaurants. It was bright and clean. The wait staff was wonderful - attentive but not hovering but right there when we needed them, despite the large party (about 15-20 people) at a nearby table. They immediately brought a basket of papadum with little bowls of tamarind and mint sauces, explaining what each was. We shared tomato coconut soup and vegetable curry. We asked for a spice level of mild plus - it was spicy but manageable with the accompanying rice. We asked for a mango lassi - besides being delicious, it soothed our mouths. Their menu has a large selection of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, with the menu clearly listing each by section (soup, curry, etc). It's a lovely restaurant and we'll definitely go back. They had a large selection of soups, which I'm eager to try. Also, the door is not in line with the tables, making it an attractive place to go in the winter - the cold won't immediately blow on us. Oh - and Friday, Saturday and Sunday they have a buffet at lunchtime - the waitress said they have over 25 items on it. I love Indian restaurant buffets, so we'll try it soon. read more

Was excited to dive into a huge delivery order after all these 5-star reviews, and a cockroach sprinted out of the papadum package. My guess is they make the papadum in large quantities and then keep it in an uncovered bin for anything to just crawl on in. Regardless, I'm pregnant and can't risk eating any of the entire order.
