Garlic Naan
Josh M.

What a wonderful Indian restaurant! I ate here while waiting for my car to be serviced and my waiter took good care of me. Super nice gentleman that was prompt when I needed something and made sure everything was up to my expectations. The butter chicken and garlic naan is my go-to and this was one of my favorites. I wish it was a little bit spicier so next time I would order the hot instead of medium. On top of everything they provided me with a complimentary bread dish with a nice mint dipping sauce that was quite refreshing!

This place never disappoints! New management and ownership recently. I had a lovely lunch recently and we enjoyed sharing the chicken tiki masala, the combination curry (tender lamb, chicken and shrimp) with some rice and garlic naan. The service is always very friendly and there is lots of seating from booths or tables for small or large groups. It's located in a shopping center with lots of parking. The menu is very extensive, but I always enjoy my meal when I try a new item or entrée. The restaurant also has an app that you can order takeout from and receive 10% off. Check it out! Another just order are their Nepalese momos/dumplings. SO DELICIOUS!

While browsing Facebook, an ad for this place came up. I was announcing the lunch/afternoon buffet service. We love lunch buffets, especially Indian. In the past, we have eaten here a few times and always loved it. But, decided to check out the buffet. Four of us went there this week. It was so nice to walk into the place and see nicely set tables and a cool temperature on a very hot day. We were greeted by the owner who acknowledged that he remembered us from other visits. The buffet presentation was fabulous. Each item was well labeled. Naturally, we each started with out favorite items. Mine is Sag Paneer. That is spinach with paneer cheese. Next, chicken tikka masala. I spotted the onion bhaji, and had to have it. This dish is thinly sliced onions that are coated in a chickpea batter and deep friend. Each other person in our group of four made their selections and headed to the table. Each one of us were thrilled with the quality and taste of each of the dishes. Fresh Naan Bread was brought to our table. Needless to say, we didn't leave the place with empty stomachs. You can bet we will return in very short order.

The best Indian food in Colorado. They just opened recently and you can already tell they're going to be a major hit with the locals. The staff seem very passionate to deliver the best dining experience as well.

Lunch buffet was just okay, certainly nothing special. Chai wasn't even okay. The garlic naan was the only good part of the meal.

The buffet is always hot, fresh, and thoughtfully replenished with bold, comforting flavors. Some of our favorites are the chicken tikka masala, tandoori chicken, and saag paneer. Everything is vibrant and consistently well-prepared. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere whether you're stopping in for lunch or dinner. Service has always been friendly and attentive, and it's easy to see why this place has been a longtime Denver favorite. Kris the owner is ever present and always a joy to see and say hi to!

I went solo on a Friday evening and had a great experience from start to finish. The first thing I noticed was how many regulars were there. People knew the owners by name and vice versa, which always says a lot about a place. The vibe is classic and welcoming, and the service matched that. It's easy to see how they've been around since 1989. Everything is made to order, so there's a bit of a wait for entrees, but it gives you time to enjoy appetizers. I started with samosas, which were exactly what you want from them. Fresh, flavorful, and well done. For mains, I tried the chicken tikka, saag paneer, and India's thali, which gives you a little bit of everything. Everything was delicious and felt thoughtfully prepared. I ended up taking some of the thali to go along with a mango lassi, which made for great leftovers. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to.

We have recently started buying the entrees. Wow! Can't say enough good things about them. My…read morefavorite is the Classic Meatloaf. 2nd is a variety of Italian dishes; pizza, calzone, & baked ziti (combo cream and tomato sauce) with sausage. I love basically anything with their marinara sauce in it. The flavor is fantastic! 3rd is probably the bagels with the Everything bagel and the 3 Cheese bagels being my top two. Although the Jalapeño and Cheese bagel is up there if I could tolerate the spice. After that I love the Orange Chicken. It is breaded chicken with great orange sauce that I add stir fry veggies to. Sweet and Sour Chicken is good also. Can't forget to mention the delicious enchiladas which I eat with a salad to make more of a taco salad. For most things we add our own veggies to make a complete meal. The cooking instructions have been good except we've had trouble getting the pizza crust to cook through. What seems to work after much trial and error is 20 min. at 425 in our oven style airfryer on the metal pan. Pizza should look fully cooked and cheese browning in the center. Remove, add our own toppings and then 10 more min. at 425. The second bake could probably be longer so I will try that next time. Pic attached of the end result pizza. While the very outside of the crust gets a little charred the bottom is fine and this second bake seems to help get the crust cooked. Did a calzone this morning and since it is prebaked the heating instructions worked just fine. It was deliciously crisp and could be eaten as a finger food. We also liked the spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread but the garlic bread isn't wrapped well in the foil so was soggy. The apple bacon french toast was fantastic but I would prefer no bacon on it. The bacon is thick cut so just ends up being soggy. Apple topped french toast alone would be A+. In terms of other sweets I can't have Xanthan Gum so am limited to their donuts and danishes. The filled donuts are excellent but the regular, while not being cake style (which is a plus) have a taste to the grease that I don't care for. The filled are fried the same but because of the delicious filling you don't taste the grease. The danishes are a favorite but they all come with cheese filling in addition to the fruit so make sure you choose a fruit that goes with their cheesecake like cheese filling. I had gotten tired of eating my own food and am so happy that I have Blue Hummingbird's entrees to fall back on.

Ended up getting a strawberry rhubarb pie, pumpkin pecan pies and a variety of cupcakes. Their Strawberry Rhubarb pie was our favorite. The pumpkin pecan pie seemed to stick to the pan so it is difficult to get a nice piece cut. In my opinion it was a bit pricey but glad they were there!
