When we walked in there was a group of people waiting for takeout orders and only one couple sitting in the restaurant. We waited a few minutes to be seated and the manager apologized for how busy it was. We didn't mind and took our time perusing the large menu. When our food arrived the manager again apologized for the wait, which was around 25 min or so. I can say for certain, the food was worth the wait! I love spice and the past few spots I've been to don't really live up to the hype but man...my eyes were watering and sinuses were cleared due to the Indian hot spice level I ordered. My spice craving was satisfied! The naan was to die for and the portion sizes were perfect. After the takeout rush died down, the restaurant manager walked over and let us know more about his background. We learned his name is Jay and he is making big changes to improve the business including meeting with a liquor salesman so he can start getting a larger variety of liquor for the bar and updating the menus. He was kind enough to also let us sample their homemade mango lassi, on the house, and omg...we were blown away by the flavor! He said the shelf life is about a day because they make it in house from fresh ingredients. He asked us to please provide feedback and hopes we return, which we 100% guaranteed we will! I have been inside it once before but I really didn't remember any of the interior. It's quite roomy with mostly red color. It's pretty clean as well. All the way to the south of the building is where the bar is located. Quite the ambiance for sure. The man behind the counter was very pleasant to me. Once food was meticulously put in a large brown bag, he politely handed it to me with a very meaningful "Thank you!" What a nice gesture that was. I know this is a bit of an exaggeration but it was that good. -Daal Tadka (mild): I am a big fan of lentil based dishes and this (along with the other lentil based one named Daal Makhani on the menu) is a delightful non-meat option. Daal Makhani does have a noticeable amount of oil used in the dish but this yellow lentil dish is lighter in the oil content.
