Veggie platter and lamb ribs for $60
Nathan N.

It's the injera that sets it off! Light, fluffy, chewy, sour. I'm talking about real fluffy over here. Little pricey but what isn't? The last time I was here was over ten years ago. Still quality!

I can NOT believe I forgot to write a review for this place! I ABSOLUTELY love Nile Ethiopian restaurant. The food is SPECTACULAR. I am new to Ethiopian food. The waiter and manager were not only very patient with me and my sister's questions, they were nice enough to give us a separate sample of the spices to try! They were so welcoming to other cultures trying their cuisine out. The four out of five star rating is mostly due to the wait of the food. Smelling the spices in the back whilst hubgrily waiting was a torture that was worth enduring.

Some of the best Ethiopian food in the U.S. Lots of vegan options. Great value. Location: In a mini mall with plenty of free parking. Ambiance: Casual and clean. Food: If you have not had Ethiopian, don't be intimidated. Staff is very helpful and food has similarities to Indian food in terms of spice level and cooked veggie forward. Loved every dish, distinct spices in each and you eat with your fingers (pull off some sour bread and grab the food with it). Soooo good!! loved it. We had chicken, lamb and beef plus large veggie combo plus beer. $110 for 4 people and we were stuffed.

Met up with a pastor mentor of mine who recommend the place as the most authentic Ethiopian dining in Denver. He was not wrong, as soon as you enter you are greeted with an amazing rush of smokey incense and the smell of amazing flavors. We ordered the vegetarian plater then added an order of chicken stew and beef to add to the feast. We ate to our hearts content and there was still more left to take home. Everything tasted spectacular, I can't wait for the next time I get to meet up with my friend here again. Till then I'll keep dreaming of of this culinary adventure.

The samosas at tonight's Yelp event were fantastic as well as the owners graciousness. I can't wait to get over to the restaurant for a full meal!

This used to be our favorite Ethiopian spot until our most recent take out experience…read more We called to order two vegetarian combos at 5:30 and were told told to come in pick up at 5:45. When we get there at 5:45, we notice that the food is packed up in a medium (9"x13") sized aluminum pan with lid. In the past we'd gotten our meals in two styrofoam take out boxes with plenty of food so I was initially excited to see the new packaging because I believed the quantity would be the same or more. We get home 5 mins later and were sorely disappointed by our order. There were plenty of lentils but the orange ones were undercooked and lacked flavor. There were only about two bites of the collard greens/Gomen wat. And usually Mama África supplies more potatoes spears with their carrot and cabbage side, this time, we also only got two bites of the cabbage, no potatoes. Not to mention, the green beans were definitely canned and had no additional flavor to them. We asked for a side of chickpea soup/shiro wat and were disappointed to find that it too lacked flavor and was mostly oil. The worst part in addition to all the above was that the food was cold and the injera tasted stale and lacked its usual sourness. To add insult to injury, the meal was nearly 70 dollars in total for something that barely fed one person. This was the first time I ever wanted to ask for a refund for our food because we barely received one portion of the veggie combo, not the two we paid for. I hate to leave a one star review for a small business but the quality and quantity of food went down drastically.

Thanks to one of my side hustle shifts I worked yesterday. Had I not gotten the shift assignment,…read morethis restaurant would have forever been unknown to me even though the long stretch of Havana Street has so many unique restaurants on both side and yet, past the 6th Ave where the restaurant is located had still been an unknown territory for me. I was definitely overdue for a good Ethiopian food so when I found it, I got excited. I intentionally left the house early enough so I could stop here and get me some food before my shift. And it all worked out well. Yesterday's takeout experience was met with so much goodness. I... -Was warmly greeted upon entering the restaurant by two women. -Was the only customer during the non-rush hour time between lunch and dinner. -Was able to place my order immediately as I had the full attention from one of the ladies upfront. -Waited good 15+ minutes and yet, this meant that the kitchen carefully prepared my food. -Received thorough explanation from the same lady (who took my order) as she opened each container to explain what I got. Service was top-notch here. Once I got to my car, I opened the two containers to take a close took at them. I also wanted to take some photos of my beautiful food. What I got were.... -Vegetarian Combo ($19.99) that comes with red lentil stew, split pea mild stew, powdered chickpea stew, carrots and cabbage with potato, collard greens, beetroot and salad. This whole dish was covered with extra layers of injera fermented bread that are/were gluten free. The whole container was so heavy. This was easily way more than what I paid for. And it was probably the best Ethiopian vegetarian plate with all sorts of delightfulness in this massive dish. -Two pieces of Veggie Sambusas (lentil based); this came with a mini salad. Deep-fried sambusas were nice and beautifully brown. And they were so crispy. The heat from the cooking was still felt when I ate them about 10 minutes later. Let's not forget to mention. The restaurant looks very unassuming on the outside. Although the front of it had a colorful green and red signage with restaurant name on it, once inside, it looks small and yet you will be surprised how spacious inside is. Although it's not fancy or modern in any way, it's clean with simpleness. And here and there, there are Ethiopian art decors on the walls which will (I'm pretty sure) capture your attention. You should take the time to look at them as they are quite beautiful. Not to mention, ample seatings are seen in the dining area; the bar is quite large as well. And they do serve alcohol. This is definitely and by far the best Ethiopian restaurant in the Denver metro area (in my opinion). The welcoming host (is this a woman owned business??) that will truly appreciate your business but most of all, the quality and hearty food that will entertain your palates..all sorts of goodness will mesmerize you for sure. This place will justify the miles you will drive to get to it even if you live a bit far from it. Give it a try!

The portion is easily big enough for 2 people and it came with lots of delicious Injera. I really enjoyed the hardboiled eggs in it as well. I have not seen that before. Natoli is located inside the Mango House, which is a mini-mall of small businesses and a food court. If you like Ethiopian, but your friends don't, this is a great place to take them. They can get the food they like from the other food vendors and you can all sit together at the tables in the common area. This is also a great place to grab takeout to enjoy at Cerebral Brewing, since beer & Ethiopian is always a great combo. And, this is a great place to grab food before a show in the Arts District (People's Building, Vintage Theater, Aurora Fox).

As other reviews have mentioned, the restaurant is in a small international food court. The downside is that there isn't any ambiance, but having a lot of wonderful food choices more than makes up for it. (We didn't try any other restaurants, but currently there was Burmese, Syrian, Haitian, Nepali, and Sudanese.) There's also a small play area for the kids.
