It is an open Kitchen mostly takeout place with several booths/tables for dine in, if wanted. Ordered for pickup: Chicken Bihari Boti, six pieces Lamb Curry with Rice The chicken was very tender and delicious. A small salad was included. I would order this dish again even though the menu has many enticing items. The Lamb Curry included a tasty, flavorful white rice that complemented the curry well. The owner included extra sauces including a Mint-Yogurt one that was delicious. I should have ordered one of the many varieties of Naan, and next time I will. Check out their menu. The owner greeted you with a smile. Two others prepared the food. While another customer (Gyros) and I waited for our orders at 11:30 am (I arrived early), the owner served us a sample of their Kheer after asking us if we had a milk allergy. This traditional Indian Rice dessert was far superior in flavor and texture to what I have eaten at other local restaurants that serve it. (Kheer is a creamy, traditional dessert made by simmering rice with whole milk, sugar, and aromatics like cardamom and saffron.) The owner even included a complimentary serving of Kheer with my order. Nice! They thank you for your order when you leave. The restaurant was pristine including the recently washed windows. Parking is plentiful. I want to order food from here for my family who likes this cuisine.

The chicken Tikka masala curry has been a big hit both times, and the enjoyment of the incredibly rich and creamy sauce and flavourful chicken keep me from wondering about the calorie count = it's THAT good. Another thing - ambiance is not on the menu. I counted about 8 chairs altogether, semi scattered between 2 tables...but it's not about that, it's about the food. The food is very good, hitting all the comfort food vibes. It's also offered at a bargain price. Garlic naan and chicken tikka - slightly crisp and smoky on the outside and light (naan) or tender and juicy (chicken) on the inside. The tandoor oven and the experience of the cooks crafted those dishes to a very high level. The palak paneer seemed plain at first but subtler spicing came through the more I consumed/shoveled it in my mouth. I love places like this. Pretentiousness is nowhere in sight. There's a hardworking honesty to the place and they feed their clientele well made and generous portions.

For what is essentially an enhanced food court experience, you get a pretty tasty meal here,…read moreeverything comes out quickly, and the owner takes very good care of you. The menu is pretty extensive for the seemingly small kitchen space you can see behind the counter. My vegetable samosas (2) were piping hot and had a decent amount of "not potato" in them, accompanied by 2 sauces. The Chicken Tikka Masala Bowl includes a generous amount of well-prepared rice. Normally I pass on rice except as a vehicle for sauce, but I finished this. The sauce had a reasonably deep red color and an enjoyable spicy flavor, maybe a little less tomato flavor than I've had elsewhere, but still quite good. Naan, wrapped in foil, is fresh and hot, but not necessarily crisp. Flavored naans will have the flavors as a stuffing. My mango lassi was excellent - I almost wanted to steal a larger milkshake cup from nearby Herbie's and ask for that to be filled up instead. All in all, if you are looking for an Indian meal while at Galleria 7, you will be very satisfied here.

This review is specifically for people with oil issue…read more Sorry to hear you didn't have a great experience. Let me just start by saying that Authentic Pakistani food is greasy, they do have oily puddle in their curry. That oily puddle deep or shallow is called "Taaree". If you ever visit Lahore, you gotta go to the andoronay Lahore, old Lahore basically and every small restaurant you will go to has some oily greasy side to it. All you gotta do it, pour it out or use paper towel to soak oil out of your dish. That's all. Pakistani/Indian dishes are not the healthiest kind but of course you can make any Desi (Pakistani/Indian/ Bangla) dish healthy if you make it at home, with very little or no oil. Or use coconut OR any other oil substitute. Ordering a take out is a treat for most of the population, so unless you are going to just settle with little bit oily dish then what's the point. Just grab a paper towel and get rid of the excess oil and still enjoy the Authentic Pakistani dish. I am just a customer at Spice and Beyond and I understand that they might not be perfect but they are doing a pretty good job of bringing part of Pakistan to New York. Have a wonderful day.

So, we ordered the Channa Papree as the appetizer. Dinner choices were the chicken tikka masala bowl and the chicken bowl...both are served with salads. We were told that it takes about 25 minutes to prepare the tikka masala (in case we didn't have the time to wait). We did! It was Saturday and we grabbed a strawberry lassi to enjoy while we waited. There is a nice seating area near the entrance so we hung out in the big armchairs. The lassi was good; it could have been blended more as most lassi concoctions that I've had are very creamy with just the right amount of yogurt tang....this one was "ice-chunky". But it was still tasty. As promised, the meals were ready to go in about 25 minutes. They traveled well and were still hot when we got home. I really enjoyed the channa appetizer; lots of different flavor layers throughout with just a subtle hint of spice. I tasted the chicken tikka masala; well spiced cubed chicken over basmati rice (same rice that I had with my chicken bowl). Some of the chicken pieces were really big and the portion was definitely generous. My sliced chicken was also really good - different flavor profile from the tikka. Since the salad is served in the same container, it gets pretty warm....but it saves having a separate to-go box for a small salad. They also have an entire rolled ice cream selection - plus chai-inspired hot drinks and other desserts available. I wanted to try the naan and asked if we could order a side of it. Unfortunately, they still considered it "lunch" time and couldn't sell me a piece or two of naan. I found that a little weird, but I chalk it up to being a fairly new business. Plus, the girls that were working in the front - I'm guessing - are not related to the owners. Friendly and competent enough, but always embrace an opportunity to upsell! I'll be sure to check this place out again soon.
