This was a pleasant surprise with the kimchi! My beef was the amount of protein. There was only about 8 small maybe 10 pieces of chicken & mainly cabbage. So in my opinion it was very light for a main meal at a teriyaki spot. Had I ordered teriyaki chicken it would have been a lot of more.., the veggies don't justify the small amount. But i loved the kimchi. A must get with rice. Overall I was happy.

The husband and wife team are amazing! So sweet. The food was delicious. Healthy and tasty food for the road warriors. I will be back! Easy walk from aloft and many other hotels.

Delicious food! Wonderful service! Beef was tender kimchi was homemade and delicious. Shrimp was crispy and flavorful.

The food was great, and the service was really good. Everything homemade really good family run own business.

    Chicken Katsu

Ordered Chicken Katsu, $16 for a plate yet it came out burned, dry and almost hard to chew like it was from yesterday but they reheat it up again. Rice not fully cooked as well. Spent $60 for 3 plates and am very disappointed.

Located in a small strip mall.

This is a hidden gem, confidently located near several airport hotels. I ordered the beef and broccoli with a side of egg rolls (see pictures). The staff/owners were so nice! All smiles which made my day after a 4+ hour flight. I ordered beef and broccoli with a side of egg rolls to go. They freshly prepared my meal, which was still steaming hot when I got back to my hotel. You will see from the pictures that my order was a lot of food. They would deserve a 5-Star review, except for these minor items. The beef was a little tough and overdone and the egg rolls were a little greasy. These are minor comments as this business is working hard for your business in an area with limited restaurant options. Please try this deserving small business.

Horrible horrible service. That woman who takes the orders is rude, poor communication, hard to understand. Charges extra when you substitute rice for veggies, and didn't get my soup. NEVER COMIMG BACK. what a horrible experience.

Overnighting at one of the hotel just behind Masae's and definitely in search of good food. Couple of colleagues of mine recommended me the yummy Teriyaki Chicken. So Teriyaki it was and was very delicious. Lean chicken with Masae's sauce, on rice and coleslaw. Ready to go and get it again!

Food is so nasty, restaurant not clean touches food with hands, no respect for customer and bad attitude towards Black person. Do not eat here or get sick .

    Tofu Teriyaki

Masae's Teriyaki is my favorite place to get my lunch/dinner when I stay in Seattle. My favorite is Tofu Teriyaki! Many teriyaki restaurants in US put too much sugar and other things, but Masae's one is perfect taste for me, not too salty and not too sweet! This restaurant is located near most of the SeaTac airport hotels. I stay at Fairfield, Country Inn, Aloft, Hilton Garden Inn, and Comfort Inn, so I can just walk to this restaurant. I believe this is the family owned restaurant, so you need little patience while their peak time!

We got a table almost immediately, as we did get there relatively early around 11:30 AM. The place was already somewhat busy, but there were a number of available tables. We all picked a different sushi roll, I chose the Miyabi roll, which was very good. Our service and server was very good, guided us through the menu as best as she could. All in all it was a great lunch, with a nice active lunch scene and busy vibe. Thank you

Started off strong with the uni shot, which was really good, and the sashimi fresh, clean, and exactly what you want from a sushi spot. We also ordered the mushroom and pumpkin salad with spinach, which tasted great, but at $20, it felt a bit overpriced for what it was. The rolls, unfortunately, didn't live up to how they looked. Presentation was definitely there, but the flavor just didn't hit. On top of that, they were falling apart pretty easily when picked up with chopsticks, which made them a little frustrating to eat. Service was solid overall staff was attentive despite how busy it was but they did miss our hamachi kama, which was a bit of a letdown. A couple things to note: this place is cash only, and it gets very busy, so expect a bit of a wait. That said, the vibe is nice, and the design of the space is something I actually liked. Would I come back? Probably for sashimi and appetizers but I might skip the rolls next time.

Overall: 8.5/10…read more Food: 8/10 I got the #5 Creamy Broth which was a creamy chicken broth topped with juicy pork chashu and a flavorful seasoned egg topped with free self serve tempura flakes, green onion, and ginger. I asked for a spice ball for the soup on the side. The soup was rich and creamy as the name suggested. The pork chashu was average at best. It lacked flavor and color. The noodles were thick and al dente and absorbed the broth very well. I would not recommend mixing the tempura flakes into the broth as it makes them soggy and they no longer have the crunchy texture to contrast the noodles. For tempura I got a steamed egg tempura, shrimp tempura, and potato tempura. The egg tempura definitely reined supreme. Would heavily recommend a tempura sauce which they happened to run out with today. The vegetable tempuras were all bland. Would not recommend. If you do get the tempuras, eat them before the main dish so the richness of the main dish doesn't ruin the delicate flavor of the tempura. Atmosphere: 9/10 Tables were cleaned and bussed regularly. There were plenty of tables where we didn't really have to wait after getting our food. The tables were kinda close to each other and the restaurant was packed on a Saturday night at 7 pm. It was very loud and we could not hear the music in the background and had to speak up when talking to each other. Service: 9/10 Self service similar to chipotle where you order at the counter and they make it in front of you and all the individual components of each dish are premade. Unlike chipotle, once they give you the main dish in a tray, there is a self serve Tempura bar where you pay by piece.

After tax and tip it came to $25.82. ( I almost always tip 20%). Seems like a lot, right? but this is the Seattle area. AND...the portion was so hefty I put it on my kitchen scale. 1 lb. 14.8 oz. That's almost TWO POUNDS. I was going to split it between two meals, but it was so good I ate the whole thing. Just the right amount of char and smoky flavor on the chicken. Moist and tender. The yakisoba was great. Some of the veggies were a little on the soft side but much of it was crisp and fresh tasting. It's easy to make teriyaki too sweet or too salty. This was just right. The yakisoba also had the right amount of seasoning without needing any extra soy sauce. Yamada Teriyaki is a no frills type of space inside a no frills convenience store (Mandalay Mini Mart), next to Wells Fargo Bank. I'm sure it's a godsend for nearby office workers during the week, and I suspect they do a killer lunch and takeout business. When I visited about 530pm on a Friday, it was pretty slow. If you're in one of the nearby hotels or apartments, give this place a try. I almost went to Wendy's and I'm glad tried this spot instead.
