Quesadilla chicken

This is a really dark restaurant. The quesadilla was a decent size and the rice and beans side was far larger than it appeared at first. Waiter was amazing and the space buzzed with activity in the dimly lit dining room.

Cute interior. It is attached to the Westin hotel downtown. The service was very quick and server was nice. Good was pretty decent! The chips were warm & salty, green salsa was very spicy, guacamole was good, and we really enjoyed the drinks we had as well.

This place was Crazy busy, and I am so Glad we made reservations. It was an absolute madhouse of people and even at 5pm early reservations. We had to flag down people to wait on us after 27 minutes. Everyone around us wondering why no servers and could not find anyone to help us for a long time. Sunny finally walked by and we asked her for help and she took our order even though we were not her section. We only had an hour before concert so we were in a rush. But she took care of us. Tacos were ok but experience wasn't great overall due to lack of servers and any assistance. Margaritas were watery and lacking any tequila.

Birria Quesadilla

We only ate here because we were staying at the Westin and the weather is trash in downtown Cleveland in the winter obviously so we didn't want to leave. Food was good but definitely pricey. Birria quesadilla with street corn was good. Kids sliders are sweet with onions and were not a hit. You would have thought they would have told us or mentioned something since we had children. My daughter had a bowl of fruit and it was good size, made her happy so that's fine with me $5. Chips and salsa $6 were okay. Boyfriend had a great passion fruit marg and the short ribs, very generous portions for sure. Pretty place, very classy in appearance and nice service. Overall $96 was our bill not terrible but keep in mind 2 adult meals, 1 side of corn, 1 kids menu meal a bowl of fruit salsa and chips and a marg, no other drinks.

The salsa has a really good kick of heat which I like. I tried the chicken quesadilla and it was good too although a bit dry. The restaurant is spacious and clean and service was great (thanks Kate!). I also tried the bunelos sundae and found it odd that it came with chocolate ice cream and not vanilla- but oh well!

Quick service, friendly wait staff, making a reservation is a plus if you are not staying in the hotel. The menu is simple but everything was very fresh. The salsa verde is hot, and I love heat, but it packs a punch if you are not expecting it. And yes, it's a Mexican restaurant I shouldn't order the fries, but the fries were skinny hot and super crispy...loved it.

Ambiance and service top tier I really loved my drinks too! Next to the Westin hotel a perfect star for the night. Thanks for an enjoyable evening

Absolutely loved this place. Stopped in for a drink and immediately felt I was in Rocky Point Mexico. Service was amazing! Will be back when I come to Cleveland again! Loved the atmosphere

Great atmosphere, delicious fresh foods served hot, great bar selection, especially the tequilas and most enjoyable, a wonderful staff! Dean, Zach, Kelly and Emma made our dinner memorable and a lot of fun. They were personable and attentive. Highly recommend!! Kipp and Jackie Brown (from Chillicothe)

I rarely leave low star reviews, and I wasn't going to post this, but our experience tonight was not good. The food was actually good!! The service was horrendous. There were only 3 of us and our drinks came out at different times. I waited 30 minutes for my margarita. Our food also came out at different times. And they brought us the wrong food twice. And the wrong checks. Whenever we asked about drinks or food- the server was extremely defensive. He never apologized. He was even chatting it up with another table (we assume he knew them as he was looking at things on their phones) while we watched one of our beers sitting at the bar waiting to be brought to our table. I understand bad nights- but this was clearly bad service and the server didn't seem to care at all.

Enchiladas Suizas

Good, fresh & hot. Will deliver to room, recommend getting guacamole as well as pico & margarita

We were able to snag a couple of seats as 2 people were leaving. The place obviously lived up to its name. It's a vault, I get it... But what's cool about it was exploring all the extra rooms and booths. Certainly fun to get lost in it. I was also impressed by how festive it was. They were already decked out in Christmas decor, and the bartenders were in ugly Christmas sweaters. The cocktails were notably pricier than neighboring cocktail bars in the $16-$25 range. Their most expensive one was $35. I wanted to get The Safety Deposit, but they didn't have chartreuse at the time. I settled for the Post's Pom, which was nicely refreshing but overly sweet. My friend got the Cleveland Trust. It was tasty but also too sweet, and the charred dried orange killed the taste. My olfactory and taste senses were so confused. Can't say that The Vault was my favorite bar solely based on the quality of the cocktails, but can't beat the vibes.

The wait for the food order (which was delicious) was reasonable given there was a private event happening, although it did seem the bartender was stretched a little thin, taking care of the 6-7 people at the bar, making drinks for another area, and putting glasses away from a previous shift. I had the meatballs and an Italian chopped salad, both very good. Overall, it was a nice experience.

Since the Metropolitan is home to an apartment complex, an upscale hotel, a rooftop bar, a dog park, a Pilates studio, a theater, a basement vault bar, and a "high-end" eatery, there's a whole lot of people constantly coming and going. Sitting at the four (five?) two-person tables situated right at the balcony railing means you can easily lean over and watch people come and go while sipping your drinks. Unlike the rest of the bars in the hotel, I was told there was no drink menu at the Ledger, and the bartender (who waited my table!) simply asked what flavor profile I was desiring tonight. The resulting drink he made was honestly good, and I really enjoyed it. Zero idea what was in it to ever order it again (and he was really overworked to ask!), but it was a neat experience of a "craft your own experience". There were a few beers on tap. I'm unsure about wine. Centro's food menu (restaurant downstairs) appears to be available here. There's a single unisex bathroom within steps of the bar, and the regular hotel lobby bathrooms are down a floor. As conference rooms are nearby this bar, I'd also probably guess there's a large conference room bathroom block too, but I didn't find that one. The rest of the bars and restaurants in the Metropolitan tend to take most of the attention here, and the Ledger has a much more laid-back, chill vibe. A lot of people were watching a sports game (baseball, I think?) on the TV behind me. With the smaller space and wide "open" area of the full lobby, the Ledger feels like your calmest, quietest bar option out of the available places at the Metropolitan.

CLE's best kept secret!…read more A few of my friends raved about Smoke & Mirrors, so I finally checked it out. I stopped in during Stargazers Ball hosted by YoreCraeft Productions. It was a fun cosmic costume party at Smoke & Mirrors. Smoke & Mirrors delivers on their promise, there are mirror accents and intermittent smoke. They also have a lot of silver accents that have a cool juxtaposition with the cave look. You can find this nightclub underground at Clandestina on West 25th. Enter the club by going through mezcalería (Clandestina) and going downstairs. The club calls themselves "subterranean catacomb club." I'd describe it as a nightclub giving off speakeasy vibes with some exposed brick, cave vibes, and sultry red illumination. It's a very mysterious dungeon looking club. It's raw and unusual for the local nightclub scene in the very best of ways. The coolest space in this club is the once upon a time coal room that serves as a little private nook to sip your cocktails. The rest of the club has one dance floor, some comfy seats against the wall, and a small bar. It's very intimate. The club is mostly known for its EDM DJs. Don't expect big names but expect good music. You can find their lineup on their IG @smokeandmirrorscle. They're open on Thursdays for karaoke, and Saturdays for DJ and dancing. The party that I attended had a lot of dancing and good vibes. The club seems to have a cover charge, but the amount is not shared on their socials. The menu consists of cocktails, craft beer, and wine, which is a generous selection for a night club. There were some themed cocktails during my visit ranging from $8-$14. I certainly plan to stop by during a regular weekend night to check out the full experience and DJ's. You should too. If you drop in, stop Clandestina bathroom for a selfie with flattering light.
