Of the four of us we ordered Spring Pea Soup, Caesar Salad, Chicken Mushroom Fettuccine, Escargot, Cali Bowl, Cajun Shrimp, and Shanghai Beef Bowl and ended with a decadent cheesecake with chocolate sauce which we shared. Very nice ambience and great service. The best thing to get here is the steak. The menu is the same as Charcoal - same food, just different sides of the restaurant. I loved the butter on the filet mignon which was of good quality. The mashed potatoes I got for the side was not as creamy or garlicky as I would've liked. I quite enjoyed my time at Martini's. I went there for a dinner to enjoy some sun in their patio area and got wonderful attentive service. We were sat and quickly served water; we weren't pushed to make quick decisions on our meals and the best part is that because the whole building is part of the Charcoal Group, if you didn't fancy anything on their menu, you can ask for the menu's from the other affiliated restaurants. The atmosphere was casual, very comfortable. There were heaters on when it started to get chilly outside. We had the salmon truffle orzo - perfectly cooked salmon with crisp skin. The orzo was nice and cheesy. Very faint truffle flavours (if you like truffle oil, etc etc, order the fries. The table a few meters away from us had them and it smelled divine!) We also ordered the chicken tettrazzine with zucchini noodles. Fresh, tasty and light. if you're looking for pasta but not a heavy meal, that is the way to go! And it's gluten free! For dessert, the server recommended the lemon chiffon cake. It's seasonal with a blueberry compote, dulce de leche and lemon curd. This was a slight let down for me. The cake base had a nice lemon flavour but if you're expecting the light, fluffy chiffon cake, it is not. It is slightly on the tougher side and very dense, almost akin to a drier pound cake. The curd, blueberry compote and the dulce de leche made the dessert. Although pretty, the stars of the dish were everything but the cake. The creme brulee was amazing. Creamy, soft tones of vanilla throughout. A nice layer of caramelized sugar on top. The first crack of the spoon made a wonderful sound, before I dug into the goodness of the creme brulee. It came with a chocolate chip biscotti. The biscotti (biscotto, as I was corrected) was ok. You'd definitely want to order a coffee to dip it in. Overall, service was excellent. Food was good for the most part. The ambiance was nice. It was quiet enough to have conversations. Bathrooms were very clean. read more

Another afternoon at Martini's and though I was a bit disappointed with the oysters this time (somehow, the more delicious ones get served in the evenings ‍), I was delighted to taste the Beef Wellington appetizer for the first time and I must say it was quite juicy and delicious. The crispy calamari is something I usually order and I was happy with it too though it could've been a bit crispier; it's all about the sauce for me so if that's good, then we're good :) All in all, it's still a good spot for me in Kitchener for steaks and a cute date night so I totally recommend trying it out. read more

We come here often for late night snacks and drinks. Great service and a lot of great bites. Some items miss the mark but overall the atmosphere, service, range and quality of drinks are awesome. Since the recent renovation the outdoor patio is amazing and the interior is much more wide open. Great selection of beer on tap, scotch selection is very decent, gin, and vodka options have good range as well. Good for dessert. Crab cakes, oysters, shrimp are a nice snack. For the non meat eaters the cauliflower wings are very good. I like traditional proteins but the option is certainly there. You can access all their menus so Italian, steakhouse, and bar menu are available so you have range that is for sure. They have been on an upward trend over the years and the crowd has a wide range. Fair number of TVs for sports but certainly not a sports bar. Option is there though. I would certainly recommend over many others locally depending on what you are looking for though. Locally speaking price is higher for sure, atmosphere is higher scale without being pretentious. Staff are great and return friendliness. read more

Newly renovated with an awesome patio! We really enjoyed our experience at Martinis. The new patio had a really great atmosphere for our small group to socialize with some snacks and cocktails. Service was very welcoming, friendly and efficient without being "in your face". All of the apps we tried (for sharing) were awesome. Beef bites were my favourite but crab cakes, crab dip and dry ribs were all hits with our group. We do like to try different places, but I can see us going back a lot in the near future! read more

My friends and I often chose this place because you get to choose from both menus (Charcoal or Martini) and because it is open late when a lot of other places in Kitchener close so early. What was worst was that we found a splinter bone in the beef wellington. We told them but they didn't seem to care. I go here for late night dinners from time to time. It's an upper scale casual experience and the food is slightly above roadhouse value. The thing that this organization tends to thrive at is customer service, whenever our experience is compromised they cater to ensure your experience is positive. Food was good and I would go to Martini's again. I am a fan of steak and Prime Rib and the Beef Dip sandwich did not disappoint. Would have liked to try the steaks but at the time was not hungry enough for a full course dinner. When ordering the sandwich and requested medium-rare I was impressed that the waitress let us know that the medium-rare was just that and very pink. Not all waitresses are that knowledgeable on the food they serve. The prime rib in the sandwich was excellent but not so for the fries served with my hubby's sandwich. The Yukon Gold fresh cut fries were soggy and grossly overcooked. I had the Cesar salad on the side with mine which was wonderfully fresh but slightly bland. (the waitress brought some lemon wedges which improved the salad) . We shared an order of esgargot and they were done to perfection in butter and crusted with cheese. They have a better than average amount of beers on tap and we both ordered Heineken. Hubby got his immediately (ordered when I was in the ladies room) and when I ordered I waited quite a long time as the Keg needed to be changed. The restaurant has a nice contemporary atmosphere and one of the nicest bathrooms around!! I did not like the big screens with hockey, but sure the hockey fans appreciate it. I came here yesterday for lunch but ordered off of the dinner menu instead! First and foremost, of course I had to get a Martini because of the name? Lol.. anyway.. There The server served us and we chose, where we sat. She was asking if we wanted anything and I, of course asked for a Martini recomendation and she said for me to try the 'Citrus Raspberry' or something and she said it is really good.. it wasn't bad, but it wasn't the best.. I was craving for something more sweet but I drank it anyway. So my friend got the salmon and goat cheese salad and I got Calamari (recommended) and a NY Steak dinner with sweet potato fries and the Calamari was okay.. I wouldn't order it again, it wasn't the best I've had.. I really enjoyed the sweet potato fries and how Perfectly Salted they were and the NY steak! It came with a creamy peppercorn sauce and I had it Medium done. It was Delicious! Our waitress ended up coming to our table, in a rush to leave but still acting on duty and told us, we will get a new waitress and the other waitress came to our table and I asked Her, for another Martini recomendation and she recommended the blueberry sweet martini.. I forgot what it was called but I uploaded the photo here.. That Martini was probably the best I ever had and it was Exactly what I wanted. She had more of a sense of humour a bit funny but knew what she was talking about. I tried my friends salmon and I found it a bit dry, but they enjoyed it! The Fried Wonton Nachos always a favourite appetizer to share before the entree, was a real let down this time It was made ahead of time, not crisp fried fresh from kitchen to table but oven reheated - the nachos on top chard, middle chewy and cold. For starters we booked on line and stated, in their online booking form, that it was for a birthday (it was 2 actually). They didn't have our reservation when we arrived but we were seated. The pub style chair had a small rail really tight to the chair so I had to keep squeezing my feet back onto it otherwise they were just hanging there. One person, who sat on the bench couldn't touch the foot rest and got a cramp from her legs hanging. We had barely sat down and the server asked if we needed a few more minutes. When we ordered I said I was vegan and she recommended a tempeh dish. We'd also ordered Cauliflower wings. The wings were awful. They were undercooked with next to no sauce on them. They were just slightly steamed cauliflower with a dusting of something that was not good. The tempeh dish was horrible. It was cut way too thick with no taste and mushy inside. That was all there was on the plate was 2 big slabs of tasteless, uncooked tempeh. And it was basically cold. The server didn't seem to care but did ask if I wanted to order anything else. When I said no, she just walked away. NO offer to discuss what was wrong with the dish. A large family with 3 or 4 kids sat beside us and we could barely hear each other it was so noisy. I had mentioned to the server that there were birthdays and she ignored me and didn't offer a dessert (that is advertised on their online booking site). Although the server did take the tempeh and the wings off the bill she seemed really pissed off and snapped at us. When one guest asked to take her leftovers home the server took the plates away and put them in a container. That's not what they are supposed to do, they are to bring the container to the table. The server clearly didn't care about us, didn't care that the food was not up to our expectations and so she didn't get a tip. It seems drastic but quite frankly it seemed the only way to get the point through. I WILL NOT be going back to Martinis ever again. Also...we waited almost 1/2 an hour for a crappy plate of Tempeh and 2 starters. Would NOT recommend this place to anyone. read more
