I quite enjoyed my time at Martini's. I went there for a dinner to enjoy some sun in their patio area and got wonderful attentive service. We were sat and quickly served water; we weren't pushed to make quick decisions on our meals and the best part is that because the whole building is part of the Charcoal Group, if you didn't fancy anything on their menu, you can ask for the menu's from the other affiliated restaurants. The atmosphere was casual, very comfortable. There were heaters on when it started to get chilly outside. We had the salmon truffle orzo - perfectly cooked salmon with crisp skin. The orzo was nice and cheesy. Very faint truffle flavours (if you like truffle oil, etc etc, order the fries. The table a few meters away from us had them and it smelled divine!) We also ordered the chicken tettrazzine with zucchini noodles. Fresh, tasty and light. if you're looking for pasta but not a heavy meal, that is the way to go! And it's gluten free! For dessert, the server recommended the lemon chiffon cake. It's seasonal with a blueberry compote, dulce de leche and lemon curd. This was a slight let down for me. The cake base had a nice lemon flavour but if you're expecting the light, fluffy chiffon cake, it is not. It is slightly on the tougher side and very dense, almost akin to a drier pound cake. The curd, blueberry compote and the dulce de leche made the dessert. Although pretty, the stars of the dish were everything but the cake. The creme brulee was amazing. Creamy, soft tones of vanilla throughout. A nice layer of caramelized sugar on top. The first crack of the spoon made a wonderful sound, before I dug into the goodness of the creme brulee. It came with a chocolate chip biscotti. The biscotti (biscotto, as I was corrected) was ok. You'd definitely want to order a coffee to dip it in. Overall, service was excellent. Food was good for the most part. The ambiance was nice. It was quiet enough to have conversations. Bathrooms were very clean.

Ordered: EAST COAST SELECT OYSTERS BEEF WELLINGTON CRISPY CALAMARI MOSCOW MULE . Another afternoon at Martini's and though I was a bit disappointed with the oysters this time (somehow, the more delicious ones get served in the evenings ‍), I was delighted to taste the Beef Wellington appetizer for the first time and I must say it was quite juicy and delicious. The crispy calamari is something I usually order and I was happy with it too though it could've been a bit crispier; it's all about the sauce for me so if that's good, then we're good :) All in all, it's still a good spot for me in Kitchener for steaks and a cute date night so I totally recommend trying it out.

Newly renovated with an awesome patio! We really enjoyed our experience at Martinis. The new patio had a really great atmosphere for our small group to socialize with some snacks and cocktails. Service was very welcoming, friendly and efficient without being "in your face". All of the apps we tried (for sharing) were awesome. Beef bites were my favourite but crab cakes, crab dip and dry ribs were all hits with our group. We do like to try different places, but I can see us going back a lot in the near future!

Been a couple of times now...once hosting a group of eight. Drinks are good and the service friendly and engaging. Menu needs some updating.

August 12/2025: Grad dinner for Garrett…read more At first, I thought this LOOKED like a great sports bar. Lots of seating, tons of TV's & what appeared to be a decent menu. Then it shifted to screaming "CHEAP"! We sat at the bar as the hostess said the seating was full but it looked FAR from full. It also didn't fill up during the time we were there either. Then I looked closer & many things fell apart. The service was slow, the food was both mediocre and had super small portion size. The draft beer size LOOKED big but in reality it was more like a 12oz pint with a really big mug. It was Taco Tuesday. The Tacos were $3.49/taco, beef or chicken. They were a decent size but virtually tasteless & the meat on both was completely dried out completely. I ordered the house signature wings, xtra saucy ($18.99) for a Pound. They should have been embarrassed by what they turned out! They were exactly opposite to what the menu said. They were TINY & almost devoid of sauce! I'm unclear as to what the obstacle is for saucy wings!? All in all...this is definitely NOT a do over or a recommend.

Review of The Canadian Brewhouse - Kitchener Location…read more Overall Rating: 1 out of 5 stars (Poor/Inedible) Our recent experience at the Kitchener location was extremely disappointing, marked by logistical issues, slow service, and significant quality problems with the food. First Impressions & Seating Upon arrival, the entrance area was poorly managed. With a party of five, there was literally no space to stand while waiting, which created an immediate bottleneck and awkward experience for both our group and others entering/exiting. Service & Drinks Once seated, we ordered drinks promptly. While the Diet Pepsi, Lemonade, and water were fine, the Club Soda was noticeably flat. Our food order took an excessive 45 minutes to arrive, and only after our server proactively checked on the kitchen's status. Food Quality - Major Issues The most critical issue was the quality of the food across multiple dishes. It was unacceptable. Items ordered: Spicy Hickory Burger: WAY overcooked/burnt. The taste of char dominated the flavour. The accompanying fries were the only saving grace. Canadian Burgers with cheese and bacon: The burger itself was burnt, and the bacon was burnt crispy. The sweet potato fries were soggy. Creamy Chicken Alfredo with mushrooms: Minimal chicken (only 1 sliver initially). When a replacement chicken breast was provided, it was burnt. Creamy Chicken Alfredo (no mushrooms): The pasta itself was mediocre ("meh"), but the portion of chicken was generous, receiving the fewest complaints from our party. Chorizo Mac and Cheese (new menu item): Inedible. The flavour was utterly appalling--metallic and burnt, tasting like "dirt sautéed in a dirty pan." I had to spit it out. The pasta also featured pieces of unmelted cheese, indicating poor preparation. We also signed up for the app (before we got our food) to get the free appetizer which was a cheesy garlic bread. We got it with marinara for take home. After you peel off the burned bacon and cheese layer, you're left with a decent pizza dough to dip in decent marinara. Conclusion The pervasive issue of burnt food (affecting three out of five entrées) and the truly inedible quality of the new Chorizo Mac and Cheese indicates a severe breakdown in the kitchen. Combined with the cramped waiting area and slow service, we cannot recommend this location and hope management addresses these fundamental quality control issues immediately. On the bright side, our waitress was nice. We will never eat here again.

What made it more odd is that half is an Indian food restaurant and the other half seems to be what is left from a country themed bar. This place thoroughly had me boggled in terms of its vibe. Fajitas, pastas, burgers and a selection of Indian foods. Had the samosas, they were good and freshly cooked. Fajitas (chicken)- lots of veggies, not much meat- no cheese- weird. Half rack ribs- came out piping hot and tender- not bad at all for the price and side of fresh grilled peppers was decent. Caesar- meh. Server and kitchen weren't really prepared for our group even though booked quite awhile ago- think there was only one chef and one server. Took 40 min to get food out, no drink refills offered. Waitress refused to change an order- though it was not sent to the kitchen yet. TBH I was worried that this place might give me food poisoning- it just has this weird ick feeling. I made it out fine- so did my family but some in our party didn't feel too great later- blue cheese dressing maybe be the culprit or the wings- but likely the dressing. Would not go back purely for the poor service and vibe. The food was okay, I've had worse but hard no on the ambiance.

It is in a conveiniet location just off Highway 8, making it a convenient stop if you are travelling. The space was formerly occupied by Milton's Restaurant, which closed after being boycotted by customers due to accommodating a service dog. Arriving for lunch, we were surprised to be the only customers in the large space. Apparently, business has yet to pick up following the demise of Milton's The friendly staff greeted us with smiles and took our order right away. The drinks arrived promptly. The Mango Lassi-Style shake was refreshing, nicely displayed, and had a vibrant Mango taste The Special Dessert Shake was outatanding: thick, sweet but not cloying; and topped with Pistachios. The shake had a delicate pistachio flavour and hints of vailla. The club sandwich was tasty, nicely seasoned and substabtial; no paper thing deli sliced chicken here, but rather a large, juicy chicken breast. While somewhat untraditional, my husband pronounced it delicious and flavorful. My daughter and I opted to share a pepperoni pizza, and it was terrific! Perfect balance of sauce and toppings: molter, stretchy cheese, and a beautiful crust thet was simultaneously crisp, airy and very flavorful. I am extremely picky about pizza crust, finding the vast majority of crusts to be a bland, flavorless staging area for toppings. The pepperoni also stood out. None of those greasy slices which lie on your pizza like flattened, somewhat edible poker chips. Rather, these slices curled up to form little cup like rounds, with a nice porky flavor and delicately crisp edges. When we complimented on the food, the attentive waitstaff summoned the chef to come out to meet us, I was thrilled to talk about crust, food and the restaurant with him. I really hope that this restaurant does well. I did not review the decor (my main thing is the food), but the decor is dated. Something as simple as a new paint job would make the space feel airy and envigorated, and signal new management and a break from the past. The Three Idiots deserves to succeed. If you are in Kitchener, or on your way to another destination, give the Three.Idiots a try.
