Let me explain -- my car had been making…read morea noise like an RC car running out of juice and the guys at the auto part store said the alternator was going out. Lovely. I had called a few places around town and ZZZ was able to (A) get me in right away, (B) provide a precise quote for what I thought was the issue over the phone and (C) make me feel immediately "safe" with them in that first call. When asking if I wanted refurb or new parts, the price was about $150 difference. I originally said new, but they advised me about the warranty on refurb parts and not to feel scared of it. I appreciated that they didn't just take my money. Once I arrived, I told them about the previous convo at the auto store and they did some diagnostic tests, all while letting me stand there and watch. About 10-15 minutes later and some dusting stuff off they're like...nah you're good. If anything I needed a new battery, but they said even that was in pretty good shape. They offered to install that for me if I wanted, but basically said that I could just go. Since then, my car has been totally fine! A less ethical place could've easily just cheated me, charged for XYZ or installed a new alternator anyway. So they didn't really do work on my car this time, but their honesty 10000% earned my business for the next time a problem arises.

Mind you I am on a CanAm Spyder but the front end is just a car suspension. Super simple. These guys were able to do the balancing for me. They like all shops that do just cars are hesitant to touch these but they are so simple. Fortunately, they didn't turn me away and said "we'll get it done" and they did. Fantastic customer service and very reasonable price. Now all you CanAm folks don't come flooding them for wheel balances in Sparks as this was a special situation and I greatly appreciate their help while passing through in Sparks. If you need any tire or wheel work for your vehicles (the 4 legged kind) their racks were full and they squeezed me into their full schedule. So on a coworker's recommendation I wound up here. And now I won't go anywhere else. They have always been honest and fair and since Juan has taken over as manager it's been more of the same for me. Everything is very straightforward and I know what to expect when I drop off my truck. I can assure you- in 14 years I have definitely gotten some calls I don't want to hear but with an older vehicle this is to be expected. And always, even though I may not WANT to replace this or that part, the prices are fair. People tend to write reviews when they're upset and want the world to know they've been screwed. And that's understandable. But often we forget to write reviews when things go well. And that's not fair to places that seem to genuine try to do the right thing. So... I go here. My daughters go here. I tell my coworkers to go here. And I suppose that'll continue for the foreseeable future. One thing I will say... because I've been going here so long I've spent some time in that lobby. And it's worth noting people come in with some absolutely insane requests- I mean, just effing nuts. And when they don't get their way it simply doesn't compute in their brains. And those are often the people who write crappy reviews. And I don't just mean for this place. So keep that in mind.

They take pictures and video to show you what things actually look like vs what they should look like. Also big shout out to Nile whose unusual rep for repairs, he's super communicative with where they're at. The shop also has a couple loaner vehicles which came in clutch when I had to get my timing chain fixed. I was able to still get to and from work. The staff here is super nice and I feel like they care for my car as if it's their own. On my last repair they asked if they could hold onto my car for another day cause they weren't satisfied with where they got it and wanted to double back and tweak a couple things to hopefully give my car back in as best condition as possible.(this wasn't any extra cost). I also love doing my oil changes here, they check a bunch of other areas of your car while they do the oil change and give you a rundown of recommended fixes. Also if not they have never pressured me on any fixes which eases my mind. Pressure sales in the auto industry feel fake and dishonest to me. Also, they give your car a quick wipe down of the consoles and vacuum as long as your car isn't full of stuff. It feels nice to get your car back a little cleaner than you gave it to them.

I have a local garage in Boulder City and I have used them for a number of years. They had recently performed a 100,000 mile service which included new spark plugs. I trust them completely. So for this place to keep insisting my spark plugs needed replacement was insulting to me and my trusted mechanics. Also, I don't know if prices are higher here due to proximity to CA, but labor was over $50 higher per hour. Shame on me for not shopping around, but I relied on the overall good rating this shop received.
