This Marshall's store was one of the cleanest and most organized Marshall's stores I have ever visited. The store is large and very well-maintained. While I was in the store, I noticed five to six employees restocking shelves, bringing out additional inventory, and pricing merchandise. They were definitely working hard, which was impressive. The cashiers were very friendly and engaged with all the customers. The merchandise on the shelves and in display was from well-known brands at outrageously, very affordable prices. Limited outdoor parking is available just outside of the store, while additional parking is available underground in a much larger space. read more

I needed to do some Christmas shopping as well as get some comfortable pillows for myself. I've had my pillow for over a decade, and it was time to get a new one. I also needed some hand soap and scented candles. As most of us who shop and know Marshalls nationwide, they are known for their great customer service and fair, affordable prices. I also needed to get few toys for kids. Let's not forget that Santa is still stuck in the North Pole.:-) I am not joking. I think it will be easier and faster to go on a dating app and find someone, than the struggle that I have been having to find Santa Claus. After a long search of visiting multiple different stores, the search is FINALLY OVER! Santa found me:-) Was warmly greeted by so many friendly staff that I can't even remember their names. One thing I can say, is that I was treated like ROYALTY! Felt good. Being helped by different people in different aisles. Got everything that I needed and wanted. Paid less than $100.00 not including tax. Great deals every corner of the store. Store was nicely organized.Honestly it felt like family. Parking can be a disaster at times, but the flow is moving pretty fast. They also have an underground parking and the store is shared with numerous businesses. I honestly wish that I could have given them 5 STARS. Mother nature was calling me & I had to use the bathroom. The minute I walked in, I wanted to vomit. It was so disgustingly filthy, dirty, smelly, toilets in all 3 stalls were not flushed. Wet all around the sink, & the floor. Can also be dangerous. Extremely disappointing and unacceptable experience at this Marshalls (11239 Ventura Blvd, Studio City) around 2:15 p.m. I was singled out, questioned inappropriately by an employee (Homa), and then directed to a separate fitting room area (for disabled customers), while other customers were not treated this way. The employee was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional throughout the interaction. This treatment felt discriminatory and humiliating. I needed a birthday gift and happened to drive by this Marshalls. I pulled right into its underground parking structure. When i walked in to the store it was fully stocked , clean , and full of great deals. I found a pair of MK sandals for a great price, got a great perfume, a few body oils. Halloween is here. I visited this store end of July they already had a lot of Halloween merchandises. This store was very organized and clean compared to other Marshalls I have been to. They have a variety selection of merchandise. Employees were nice. I was greeted as I walked in. People working the floor didn't seem annoyed by customers like other Marshalls locations. They had really nice stuff for reasonable prices . they had really nice dresses that they cost fortune in the department stores. They were marked half the price here. Parking can be tricky depending on the time of the day. I parked in the structure since there weren't any spots available. Went in yesterday to look around with my family. Didn't really find much that I wanted, but my sister did which was great! The store was somewhat stocked a good amount, clothes was stocked with fall and winter, shoes were kinda empty, and halloween items there was a lot. Will probably wait a few weeks to go back. I had a very disturbing and uncomfortable experience at this Marshalls. I was stalked by random man while staff did nothing. A male customer followed me around, told me I had "a bad attitude," said I was "making him uncomfortable," and then actually told me to leave the store. Imagine a random guy harassing shoppers and acting like he runs the place. To make matters worse, the fitting room attendant an older woman with short grey hair and glasses named Naya was openly rude, unprofessional, and made inappropriate comments. She joked in ways that came off racist and antisemitic, and even spoke negatively about customers (including my partner right in front of me) behind their backs but loudly enough for me and others to hear. This is completely unacceptable behavior in any workplace, especially a retail store where customers should feel safe. When I raised my concerns with management, I was told that there have already been complaints about her before. Yet she is still working there. That's unacceptable and shows negligence on management's part. If Marshall's has received multiple complaints about the same person, why is she still being allowed to mistreat customers? I left this store feeling unsafe, disrespected, and shocked at how poorly this was handled. I am reporting this to Marshall's HR directly as well. I just had the worst experience ever at Marshalls' 11239 Ventura Blvd Studio City, CA 91604 location at 1:30 pm I was stopped by a security guard before I entered the store. He blocked and told me that I can't enter the store. I have never ever seen this guy in my entire life, so I reported him to one of the store managers and he informed me that security guar's name is David! He ridiculously discriminated me for no reason. I reside in West Hollywood and have been shopping from the Beverly Center location for years and never ever seen any security guard with extreme rudeness. There seems to be some construction around the entrance so you can only enter through the parking structure. It is a very narrow parking garage so take caution. However, there is lots of parking. It was a nice Marshalls and my friend found what they needed (pants and a nice shirt). The lady at the cashier was very nice and friendly! I agree the customer service here was good. I've been coming here for years on a weekly basis, with that said, I will not be returning. I had several items to purchase, 2 of the items had yellow clearance tickets and the cashier thought the price was too cheap so she had an associate look it up and gave me the original price and not the discounted price. Why discount stuff when your associates will just tell you that the price is wrong? The price was correct, how do I know? There was another exact item on the floor. This Marshall's has had a change for the better. It's my local store and for a while whenever I came here inventory was always so low I just gave up on stopping in. I recently went after having lunch at Belgium waffle haus nearby and was pleasantly surprised at a fully stocked (mostly organized) store! The security that greets you is always super nice, there are some characters that wander in the store so I'm sure they deal with a lot. Staff for the most part are decent, the woman at the fitting rooms is sweet. A couple bad seeds like the older gentleman who didn't help me find my cart that was taken while I was in the restroom, so loss to them because I had a cart filled with items I was gonna buy and then when I left restroom someone had taken my cart so I couldn't buy them, but staff didn't seem to care lol, that's why the one star off. I'm convinced this is the best Marshall's location in LA. I shop here more than I do anywhere else in LA and have found SO many treasures over the years. My favorite in particular is this brass and lucite bar cart that I purchased for about 200 bucks. I went home and found the exact same piece on Kathy Kuo's home decor site for 1,500 bucks!!! What. A. Steal. And It's still one of my favorite furniture pieces. I love it so much. The staff is also really great here! It takes a long time to find anything you are searching for because it is pretty sporadically organized. I do see a merchandiser coming through once in a while and then everything makes sense to sort through for a short time after they are there. There are certain areas that smell really strongly of mold so I would stay away from the gift bags and reusable tote bags they seem to insist on carrying even though they come from a rotten warehouse. They range from having very few shoes to having a huge pile of Valentino shoes. **update - lots of chemical fragrance and prop 65 (carcinogenic products). Also when I was there last night there were 3 different individuals that the manager was on the walk-in talkie about saying that one was a repeat offender (assuming theft). Also several people came in looking really rough / smelling bad, I have never seen this at this store before. I don't think it is safe to shop here anymore. One of the bigger marshals in the area plus there is a home goods in the same shopping center which is a plus. Aisles are clean and they have lots of staff that are organizing the merchandise. They have a pretty good selection here! After getting food with a buddy, we stopped by here for a bit. I was impressed by the selection here, as it is more in tune with my style than other similar stores. They had workout shoes for both running and cross training, their jeans selection were brand name and good style, their shirts were perfect for what I was looking for. Oh my goodness...this Marshalls has everything you might be looking for holiday gifts. Every aisle is jam packed with stuff, including wrapping paper, gift bags, and everything in between. I was here in the middle of the afternoon and it was crowded but I was able to find sales associates to help me and they were helpful and friendly. Even the restroom was very clean! I always find amazing items at this Marshalls incl Kate Spade and Lily Pulitzer brand items. This is one of the best Marshalls I've been to in a long time! This one star is only for the bad customer service. First, I want to say that I love marshalls and especially this ventura location because of the merchandise they get. But, customer service is bad. And couple of things have happened but I feel I needed to address this. Having etiquette should also be part of your common sense. It is practical knowledge. Now let me tell you my story. I was at the cashiers and at the end the girl tells me take the card back with u to the front. Excuse me? Do I work at Marshalls? Is it my job or the staffs responsibility to do that? If you work at a store thats your store's employees duties not the clients. Customer should not worry on such things or feel bad. I come here to spend money and I spend lots of money. There has been days that I went every week once a day. Have manners and Do Not tell your client such thing, that is not professional, that is not right. Every store you go to they never tell you take the cart where you took it from. Please train your staff in all of your departments. Upon returning it, I noticed she had a store employee put it on a rack to return it to the floor for another customer to purchase. On 6/1/2024, I made a purchase at Mission Valley Marshalls store, but decided to return 3 items including a Chloe designer handbag. Based on the Marshalls 30-day return policy, I brought these back to Studio City store to return. Sales rep began the return process and pulled out the handbag. I note the items I was returning have not been used, worn or manipulated in any form or shape. The T-shirt I placed inside the Chloe bag to not forget to return it and all the time since the purchase it was inside that bag. All original tags were attached. The sales representative took the Chloe bag and went to a person named, Carl S., who brought the bag back to me and stated that he will not process the return because it has an "odor". I never purchase articles of clothing preliminarily smelling or tasting them. I took the purse and smelled it and it smelled like leather, similar to that of a brand new car. I told Carl S. that his reasoning for rejecting the return was ridiculous and is against the company policy he was obviously violating. Carl. S did not seem to be concerned about that. In fact, throughout this rather unpleasant exchange, he had a fake smile on seemingly enjoying his preposterous behavior. After a 10-minute back and forth, Carl S. accepted the return of the 2 items, the bedding and T-shirt, but refused to return the unused, unworn, with tags attached Chloe bag that cost $249.99. Importantly, the fact that the T-shirt had the "odor" like the bag, because it was stored inside the bag for a week after the purchase did not bother Carl S. After I left that Studio City Marshalls, I went to Encino Marshalls store and 20 minutes later successfully returned the bag. No one told me that the bag has "odor", that it is in unacceptable condition or anything else. I have then spoken to the managers of Encino store and Mission Valley store, and both explicitly stated that the company policy, which Marshalls explicitly posts on receipts, applies to all stores across the board. They did not believe Carl S.'s behavior was proper, specifically the manager at Encino store who saw the bag I returned. Further, both told me that even if there is "odor" in items being returned (i.e. smoking household), as long as they are in brand new resealable condition, the management just instructs to leave the items for a few days to fan out and then put on them onto a sales floor. I was also explained that since Marshalls is one company, not franchised, there is no disincentive for a clerk not to accept a return. Thus, I concluded in a logical manner that Carl S. engaged in discrimination against me, which is also in violation of the store policy. This person acted in ostensibly improper, unprofessional and highly aggravating manner. I have shopped in Marshalls for decades, spent thousands of dollars in that and Home Goods stores to be treated with such disrespect and in a manner as if I am some sort of third class citizen. To add to the insult, today, on 6/10/2024, I attempted to speak to the general manager of the store, Jarlam, who I told that there was an incident over the weekend that I wanted to discuss. He refused to have a conversation with me saying that he has a trailer to deal with. read more

But I was looking for some home decor items and I couldn't find what I needed at my usual stores. So, I gave Marshalls a try since it's in the area. Glad I did! I was pleasantly surprised to see how well the store was organized, I like their merchandise, decent quality, prices were good, nice selection. I found what I was looking for. I browsed the store to see what they have and I like their home decor the most, they have nice, classy looking items. The shoes selection is good also, OK clothes, decent organization for this type of store. Yes, it was crowded, but it was a Sunday afternoon and the weather wasn't great, so everyone had the same idea- great day for shopping! Customer service was good, the line was long, but it was moving and the lady that helped us was very nice and did a great job packing my merchandise so it won't brake (frames, etc).
