Well better late than never, right? I cannot believe Vixen is closing it's doors. I've been shopping here almost exclusively for my work clothes the last several years. The quality is unparalleled, but hands down I fell in love with the Vixen shop because of their sweet, lovely shop manager, Lisa. She is so warm and welcoming - has gone above and beyond to help me find the right size and encourage me to try new styles. She is absolutely the sweetest. I'd say I'm going to miss her, BUT I heard they will be opening a new store for their sister brand, La Femme En Noir, that Lisa will also run. Let me just say: she BETTER! To me, she is as iconic to the brand as Micheline herself! These gorgeous clothes will surely be missed, but I'm truly hopeful that the closing of the Vixen brand, will be an expansion of LFEN. It has absolutely been a beautiful experience while it's lasted, and thanks to the incredible workmanship of the Vixen brand, I am confident I will continue to enjoy my amazing frocks for years and years to come. I love this brand, the business owner's startup story, and the experience that I have had with both Vixen and La Femme en Noir. The brand's quality is incredible and I can vouch that most if not all of the dresses that I have purchased from Vixen will last a lifetime. The fabric is superb and detail in manufacturing is meticulous. When I wear these dresses, I am ALWAYS stopped with a compliment. Never fails. The clothing stands out because it is unique and not just fast fashion. I follow Micheline's story and am impressed by the small business model she has built for herself and her staff. Always here to support a female in business. I have found that the customer service is fantastic! During regular times, as in NOT the holidays or during sales, shipping has been as fast as 2 days! During the holidays or sales, shipping is pretty quick, as long as it's not a preorder. I did a preorder this fall and it did take awhile to receive my item, but it was clearly expressed on the site that preorders take awhile. Email returns from customer service are quick and the exchanges are pleasant, problem solving, and businesslike. I am so glad that a friend mentioned this brand to me. They have one size of each style on the racks, and you can order for shipment to the store for trying on. Great use of space. This was my first time coming to Vixen. I have spent years looking at the clothes on line and dreaming of wearing such a luxurious brand. I have built up my wardrobe from the $25 Dress Sale from Unique Vintage. However, I have had issues with rashes and harsh indent marks from UV clothes being made of cheap fabric and low quality. My husband surprised me for my birthday, and once I tried on the clothes, I felt forever changed. Lisa and Jonah were so attentive and helpful. They asked inquiring questions about who you are and the purpose of your purchase. All of the items on the sales floor are samples, and it felt so fancy to request your size to try one. Every item felt like butter on my skin or welcoming like a warm hug. I now understand what good quality of clothing feels like physically on my skin. I told my husband that I love and hate him now because none of my other clothes feel comfortable. I am now on a journey to replace my wardrobe slowly. I have been a customer of this wonderful brand since they were on Etsy. I love that they have a store (and it is near my friend's house) so that I can order online and pick up in person. This brand (and its sister brand, which they sell in-store) dominates my closet, due to the amazing quality, top-notch customer service, and amazing ethics and brand story of the owner(s). I wear clothes for myself, but I'm often complimented on what I'm wearing and am happy to tell new people about the brand. The store itself is wonderful. The staff, especially Lisa, is friendly, and as stated earlier, the customer service is top notch. I must say, you get what you give, I'm not exactly sure why people come at anyone working here negatively, as the vibes are so welcoming and they are truly happy to help. And best part...you can join the Vixen FB group, where you'll find hundreds of loyal customers (sized XS-4X) seeking fit advice, sharing their outfits of the day, and supporting each other. We even trade and sell our Vixen items in that forum, which is incredibly supportive and inclusive. I love this store. I have somehow replaced my wardrobe with Vixen & La Femme En Noir because the clothes are amazing. I can be beautiful & comfortable (with pockets!) in these brands. The garments are so well constructed that as a 4X, I feel fitted and supported even without a bra in some of the tops & dresses. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Its a good thing that I sew, as this is the 2nd skirt I've purchased bearing the name Micheline Pitt that was a huge disappointment. While her concepts are really cool, her merchandise is 2nd rate at best! I mean has she never heard of quality control? I previously bought her Deadly Damed box pleated Venus flytrap skirt, but had to take it apart and repleat it to compinsate for the extremely poor pattern matching. After that nightmare experience I should have known better. Still the heart wants what the heart wants, so I reluctantly purchased this Vixen Ben Cooper monster mask skirt, only to have it arive damage ( there are snags in the fabric in the ruching along the waist clear a result of the manufacturing process ). I also feel a need to point out that the black of the waistband clearly dosesn't match the black panels in the skirt. I have contact her company regarding this issue. Unfortunately they haven't bothered to reply. I advise you save your money for better quality goods and reliable customer service! Update 12/31/2024 I gave them another chance. Unfortunately it didn't go well. I have really had it with the incompetence of this company!!! Every single time I have purchased something from Micheline Pitt it has been damaged, late, or very poorly constructed. This time they sent me the wrong size. I purchased this dress and paid for express shipping so I would have it for NEW YEARS Eve! It actually arrived on time, but I ordered a small and they sent me an extra small. So it doesn't bloody fit!!! What is wrong with these people? Micheline Pitt's company has the worst quality control; seriously this is not ok. Shame on the staff at Vixen for ruining my holiday. A message to the disreputable Ms. Pitt - Your Thoughtless response is riddled with misinformation, exaggeration, and out right lies. If you look at the invoice posted, You will see I paid full price for the dress because I purchased it on the 25th. You processed the order on the 26th... I paid for 2 day delivery, knowing you're not reliable. It took 5 days to get the dress and you still sent me the wrong merchant! As to my Previous purchases, you refunded me because the skirt was severely damaged and arrived late ( the day before I left for vacation ) and WE agreed it was an undue hardship for me to return it as I live in a major metropolitan area and work nights. As a business owner it is your responsibility to fix mistakes made by your company and eat that cost. Furthermore it is unprofessional to besmirch customer's name/reputations with such mendacity. The simple truth is you have screwed me over multiple time because you run your shop poorly and have not properly set in place a system for quality control. Would Be Customers should be ward about such failures. Update 01/09/2025 It's luck I paid for this purchase via PayPal, Ms.Pitt was such a nightmare to deal with that I ended up filing a claim, it took a few day, but it was decided in my favor! One's best bet is to avoid purchasing anything from Vixen/Micheline Pitt, but if you fin yourself having to do so, pay her via PayPal as they will protect you from her nonsense! read more

I discovered Vixen after going through one of the toughest years of my life. Feeling the lowest I've ever felt (I've struggled with self-esteem and body dysmorphia since I was a child), a dear friend of mine shared a link to their recent Beetlejuice collection. It was immediately love at first sight! I've always had a soft spot for all things spooky (Beetlejuice, aliens, Halloween, monsters, etc.), and a love for all things vintage - especially 1940-1960 attire - and this brand had it all. I used to be such a big fan of the store, but after being treated badly multiple times by Lisa for absolutely no reason, I just can't bring myself to go back anymore. It's honestly so disappointing, especially considering how kind and professional everyone else has been. It's really sad to see a place I once loved turn into something I can't even support anymore. Ok I LOVE the quality of their clothes it's definitely worth the price. My only issue with them is their lack of customer service. I always shop online, but one day finally made it to their store and was not greeted. The lady working the front was super stressed and annoyed trying to help everyone. Turns out their lack of customer service and friendliness is not just a store thing. I commented on an Instagram post with a question and got a response that wasn't friendly and was told to ask questions on their website instead. Wow every clothing Instagram that I follow does not have issues answering quick questions in the comments. Makes me sad that I'm from LA and have lived in other states for a while but it seems the only friendly pinup boutiques are out of state. Not sure if I want to keep supporting them, but hard not to when the items are beautiful and they ship fast. read more

Vixen, without a doubt, is my favorite place to shop. As a plus-sized person, it can still be difficult to find clothes that aren't ill-fitting on larger bodies. Not the case with Vixen clothes! Their designs are extremely plus-size friendly, going up to a 4X (about a 44 waist measurement) in every item. And the clothes are BEAUTIFUL, which is a major plus! I feel amazing in clothes from this shop. Even if you cannot get out to the physical store during COVID, this small business has incredible customer service and super fast shipping times. I live in Sacramento, CA and received all of the items in my order in 5 days. Locals can also do safe curbside pickup, which is a major plus! Finally, for anyone looking for additional fit advice on any of the designs, the store offers a social group, The Vixen's Salon, on Facebook. The designers often provide fit reviews, video try-ons, and more. The group is also a great place to interact with like-minded fashionistas! read more

After having such a difficult time finding clothing that truly fit me.. and being hesitant AF about buying clothing online.... i made the two hour trip from San Diego to Burbank just to try on some amazing Vixen and La Femme Rn Noir dresses. I'm glad i did, as i would've sized normally. Micheline was in the store the time i came and she happily assisted in sizing me into the new Marilyn gown. I was unsure about it fitting me - but after she handed me a size down... i was in awe. I'm glad i made the trip. It was most definitely worth it. The shop is cute and elegantly decorated. The dressing room is adorable. I suggest having a friend take a photo of you cause the dressing room is a serious photo op in itself! I noticed not all sizes were on the racks, but Micheline gladly assisted that by letting me know she had stock in the back.
