Who says malls are dead? Apparently they have not been to Fashion Square because it was poppin!…read more I have not been to a mall in ages. Normally, they're just not my thing. I prefer shopping with individual merchants in my neighborhood. But eventually, we all have to take a trip to the Apple Store, or to a department store. It's inevitable. What I forgot about is how friendly all the merchants are. I parked at the wrong end of the mall and couldn't seem to find my bearing. All I had to do was ask any Merchant and they all directed me with a smile to where I needed to go. Even when I didn't buy anything from them. People were just very accommodating and happy. I guess malls are a happy place. Retail therapy is real. I can't speak much to value, because of course prices range from hide below, depending up on where you're going. I went to Bloomingdale's for lunch and then I went to H&M for jeans. High to low. I must say that everything is so convenient. I picked up things I didn't really intend to because I remember I needed them and I was there. All in all, I would say it was a great experience. I'll probably be going back to the mall again.

The stores could have better items and bargains!! It's not too many stores in here I like! But it's decent because of their Macys!! That's the best store in here in my opinion!! They also have a really good court!! Majority of the time I come I don't get anything!! It can be better if they have better stores!! -Marshay D.

I had a little time and was looking for a cute lounge set to wear for work and running errands, so I asked ChatGPT for boutique recommendations in the area and Soto Sherman Oaks was one of the places suggested before I even checked Yelp or Google. That alone made me curious to stop in. First of all, this is an excellent place if you like to shop on your own without someone hovering over you the entire time; no pushy sales energy, which I personally appreciate. I was able to browse comfortably and take my time. I ended up finding exactly what I was looking for -- the cutest lounge set. They had it in black, pink, and blue, and I went with the blue one. I also picked up a pair of sunglasses and a really cute choker necklace. They have a nice selection overall -- shoes, jewelry, friendship bracelets, bags, accessories -- lots of fun pieces. The pricing is on the higher side, but the quality definitely feels better than what you'd order online. You can tell the pieces are more thoughtfully curated. The only thing I would mention is that greeting customers when they walk in makes a big difference. When I came in, no one greeted me or smiled. One of the sales associates, Michaela, walked by a couple of times and didn't acknowledge me at first, even when I smiled. It wasn't a huge deal, but it did stand out. Once I tried on a few outfits and initiated the interaction myself, she was pleasant and helpful. The other sales associate (I didn't catch her name) was also lovely. Parking was easy. I found street parking right away. Overall, I had a good experience and found some lovely pieces. If you're in the area and like discovering fun, trendy items without feeling pressured, it's worth stopping in.

The woman in the picture just kept saying "they're over there" and pointing from behind the counter and never moved to show my mom where they were. She just kept looking at her phone. She had an attitude the entire interaction and was extremely lazy with a condescending tone. I'd rethink your sales associates and maybe hire people with better customer service skills and who are approachable and helpful. People would probably want to spend their money if they had pleasant interactions with your staff.

They don't carry jewelry here. Handbags are in many parts of the store. Very gently used with good prices for the brand and condition. Saw a lot of shoes for men and women, with soles in very good condition or better. A very helpful, nice employee assisted me. Not sure what the experience is for sellers but I would definitely come back the next time I'm looking for a handbag.

They've changed management in the past 1-2 years or so, but the store's been looking even better than before! The team has always been somewhat easy, though, to get whenever I needed something, whether it be high-up, on a mannequin, or behind the counter. Ava and Paulina are the ABSOLUTE nicest and always have the BEST fashion advice (and they will be honest and not just say it looks good because they work there!) Their customer service is amazing and so many of them go above and beyond to help clientele. 2nd Street has raised their prices by just a bit in the past couple of years as well, but I feel like that's fair compared to other stores and businesses right now. If you are a SELLER, I think it's important to go in with no expectations. I'd typically recommend more of what you would give to Goodwill and all of those random bags of clothes that have been sitting in your garage vs. the fur coat that your great-grandmother gave you that you cherish and are thinking about selling. I would ALSO recommend looking up the payout sheet IF you are mainly focused on making MONEY from your pieces. Otherwise, drop-off and pickup are pretty easy and they're typically decently fast on their turn-around times. The store is organized based on Men's and Women's, and then most of the aisles are sectioned by type of garment, ex. tank tops, short sleeves, dresses, jeans (with the exception of a couple themed sections like Y2K or Designer.) Overall, though, they have such a good collection and assortment of pieces for adults including more affordable options and fun designer finds. I'm excited to go back!

We stopped by after work so the rush hour was a bit crazy but made it in time before they closed! We had to loop around since they don't have a designated parking lot and all the street parking was basically full. Managed to find a spot about a block away and not bad of a walk at all. We were mainly here for the Baldur's Gate 3 blind bags for the beautiful oversized d20's but checked out all the other cool stuff they have here! I believe the owner is Mandie and she was super sweet and had great energy when my bf and I dropped by! We managed to pull a Rare (Mizora) and a Rare (Halsin) which was really cool from just buying two packs. They have other cool merch like pokemon, final fantasy, dnd, and even some anime stuff. Highly recommend checking this shop out and supporting local businesses! Great place to buy a gift for anyone. Prices are a bit more than retail but nothing too crazy. Looks like they also have events like card games and art showcases. I know they recently had a Baldur's gate 3 signing which is amazing! Looking forward to dropping by again! IG: @ammysalamii

Do not walk, RUN to this cool new store!…read more I set foot into this new and pre-owned gamer lifestyle shop looking for last-minute Christmas gifts (shame on me). I'm proud to report that GeekyGlamorous has something for every geek and gamer in your life! The beautiful blue corner store stood out on this specific stretch of shops on Burbank Blvd. I was there for one of their Christmas deals: a mug, pair of socks, and candy gift set all wrapped up with a gift tag for $25! Such a great value, I bought way more than one. Inside you are greeted by toys, clothes, trinkets, tchotchkes, knicknacks, baubles, stickers, and doodads themed from your favorite anime, comics, and video games. Even GeekyGlamorous-branded pins, stickers, necklaces, and bracelets. There's also blind box figures, posters, calendars... Some items are pre-owned, most are new from reputable vendors like BioWorld who specialize in licensed merch. Although this is not the biggest space, but the layout is really well-thought out and makes the store feel large. Mrs. GeekyGlamorous, the store owner, was there when I visited. She is a saint to entertain all of my annoying questions and is super friendly and personable. At no point did I feel pressured or like I was being sold something. I dug her aesthetic choices like the table comprised of Super Famicon game cartridges. Fun Fact: Super Famicon cartridges are cheaper than SNES cartridges... or the table where the POS system is has loads of memorabilia and ephemera under the glass. There will be rotating pop-up shops monthly-- right now for instance in December '24 there's a setup from Dispel Dice. There will also be community events like game nights held at the shop, too. I'm stoked for this new store, it's like an indie Expo or Comic Con!
