If you haven't had the lamb shank here, then you haven't lived. Everything here is good but that lamb shank is amazing. Tender, fall of the bone meat that is well-seasoned and very generously portioned. Not only do you get this giant piece of meat but also included is yellow rice, hummus and pita, and a little side salad. I easily get two meals out of this. Additionally, the owner behind the counter is super nice! So delicious food + great service = a must-visit spot! Please, Yelp citizens: run, don't walk, to Marrakech Express. It's 100% worth the time and calories. read more

Brilliant.. and I've had a lot of Moroccan food in my travels.. This is one of those finds you see on Yelp before it goes mainstream.. Alaoui pours her heart and soul into the food and more so the customers.. I'm a repeat customer for sure. The filafel was superb. I got it spicy and that was even better. I sat down and the guy next to me ordered a giant pot of tea, offered me some, and it truly became an experience.. not just lunch. I felt like I was transported across the Atlantic.. family food in a go to setting. Come get some. read more

Marrakech Express - Alaoui is Proud to offer up awesome food and amazing customer experience.. so fun - Moroccan Near Me - Smyrna, Georgia

Was skeptical walking in because it's in EAV and I'm not into trendy things (aka bao/poke bowls/etc.), but really missed my hole in the wall spot that used to be somewhat similar to this place in my mind so gave it a shot. Delicious food--got the chicken shawarma bowl and the lamb entree along with the mint tea and coffee. Both drinks were cold and homemade--the mint tea was 10000% on spot. Tasted like bubble tea without the bubbles aka healthier and mintier. Coffee was a bit too sweet. The food was delicious--large portions, warm pita bread that seemed homemade although I'm not entirely sure, but they were thick and chubby unlike most store bought ones. Will definitely be back. Just sucks that the earth is on fire and that we're being constantly hammered to stop using single waste products and this entire spot/food row has only disposables...which is why I give four stars cus if there is no earth, there is no delicious food. read more

Marrakech Express is amazing Moroccan/Mediterranean food. I have this place all the time when they are at Emory's food market. The chicken shawrma plate provides you with so much food for a great value. The hummus and pita bread are a great add on and definitely worth the extra charge. read more

I have forgotten how urban lunching is like. Going into the City to get a take out for a picnic lunch. Marrakech Express is one of the vendor in the Food Court in mid-town. Obvious their clientele is the It takes some maneuvering through the concrete buildings to find it, but the Service was fast and friendly. The limited menu offers is limited; and I think the main entrees changes frequently. In other words, they served seasonal ingredients. Very delicious Lamb Shank I gotten. The special Morocan Coffee and Ice Tea were different but delicious drinks. read more

Delicious! Bit of a dive, but those are always the best, right? Chef Amal is the first stall on the left and she serves up all kinds of homemade Moroocan dishes and treats. The mint tea is a great way to wash it all down! read more

Marrakech Express is amazing and Amal is a culinary genius-prodigy-chef. THE END. Okay, okay, fine. I guess I can probably dish out some details if that's what you really want. I love this restaurant because the food is amazing - the rice is always fresh, the chicken is always tender, and the mint tea is sublime. I'm not sure how Amal does it, but every meal feels personalized and home-cooked; I spent part of my childhood in the Middle East, and her food takes me back to the best parts of those days. I've been going to Marrakech Express at least once a week for the last few months, and I don't see myself kicking my habit anytime soon. I mean, between the affordable pricing and the delicious food, why would I ever want to? read more

We really liked coming here. My boyfriend and I were in town for a few days and found this local spot. The food here is really good but my favorite part was that it's like a mini food court. There is so much to choose from. There's Japanese, Vietnamese and of course Mediterranean. It's hard to find but once you find it you'll never want to eat anywhere else. We came twice in our 4 day trip. read more

I did not know that Marrakech Express was one of the food locations in We Suki Suki until I saw their tent at the Emory Farmer's Market this past week and looked up their Yelp profile! I ordered the nabati denjal (eggplant) plate, which had a spiced eggplant curry served over yellow basmati rice with a side salad, white garlic sauce, spicy harissa sauce, and hummus and pita on the side. I also tried the baklava, and it was amazing - super flaky, sweet, and rich. Overall, really stellar and flavorful Moroccan cuisine, and I will definitely be back for more! read more

I live one hour away from this place but one day randomly I got here. I decided to try the Baklawa and its the best Baklawa I have ever tasted in my life. After that, my mom asked me to seek more Mediterranean places near us and we tried, but we just ended going back to Amal. The one hour away it's worth it. Today I tried a vegetarian plate: eggplant and chickpea stew with basmati rice, green salad, hummus, a Baklawa and a ice tea with mint... I almost cried because it was extremely delicious. Amal is extremely nice and her food it's just a reflection of it. Definitely recommend this to anyone that's open to try something different and delicious.(if you haven't tasted Mediterranean food) PD: if you haven't tasted Mediterranean food, you're missing out!!! And I'm puertorican! read more

Marrakech Express brought me back to when I studied abroad in Morocco during college. From the taste of the food to the friendless of Amal, it is truly a taste of Morocco in the middle of Atlanta. Her authentic, homecooked food is something you need to experience for yourself. I had the chicken with rice and salad but after trying my friend's hummus and pita - I should have ordered a side of it as well. You receive plenty of food and by the end, you will be full! Additionally, if you like a bit of heat have her add the hot sauce but a warning that it is not for the faint of heart. Shukran Amal, I will be back soon! read more

I'm happy to write that the Fefela was delicious! So delicious in fact it inspired me to write my first Yelp review. My best friend who lives in Atlanta introduced me to this gem before my flight back to New York. The chicken was tender and flavorful with the spices and orange sauce. There was a combination of sweetness with the white sauce that was a softening balance with the spice. Basmati yellow rice below the chicken made the dish filling. Having peta bread and hummus on the side paired perfectly! For dessert, my best friend and had the baklava. The chef and owner, Alaoui, wasn't there today. However, her cooking was so well done that I wanted her and her team to know here. Marrakech is going to be my go to restaurant in Atlanta every time I visit! read more

A regular after the first try. The food is amazing! I love the perfect balance of flavor. I usually get their veggie plate, but their chicken is also a hit. Their homemade Moroccan tea (mint) is a must if you don't like sweet tea. Homemade baclava dessert still need to try, but I'm sure it would go great with their tea. Great customer service. Always welcomed with a smile. read more

Went here with very warm welcome. Amazing atmosphere. Tasty food and friendly staff. We were very nicely welcomed. The place is cute and clean. Goo for a nice chill time. Drinks were decently priced and they had an all you can eat buffet for 99dhs which was beautiful. The food was very nice also. The staff were absolutely amazing and there service was lovely! read more

The food and service is always great! The owner/chef Amal is the nicest lady, she always greets with warm smile and helpful. I got nabati combo, which came with rice, chickpea and eggplant curry, salad, hummus, pita, baklava and a drink for 8$. Isn't it amazing!!! The food was fresh, flavorful but the baklava was the the showstopper. I felt like Amal has mastered cooking baklava, because it has the perfect amount of sweet, flaky and chewy in each bite. read more

I came to Marrakech at Politan Row and got the eggplant stew (Denjal) which was probably one of the best dishes at this food hall, and I usually hate eggplant. I have been trying to get to this place for the last two months and haven't been able to because of my work hours and their operating hours. I got here on a Saturday and I can see why it has such positive reviews. The service was good, the price was really good, and the food was good. I ordered the chicken felfela and was yummy. It's a tomato based dish and I'm so glad that I had a chance to try it. I have never had the opportunity to try Moroccan food and I've been missing out. I had the young lady add the hot sauce on the side and it was HOT! It definitely cleared my sinuses. I can't wait to go back and try a new dish because it really was that enjoyable. read more

OMG!!! So good. The chef is so awesome. As soon as I tasted a sample of the chicken, I immediately remembered her awesome food at a Yelp event. How in the world does she get chicken breast so tender and moist I don't understand? I consider myself a great cook, not so much after tasting her food. The white sauce, the signature Liguor, is to DIE for!!! Every single bite was perfect!!! She had a spicy sauce she added to it for me. A bit of lettuce with the Liguor sauce was perfect. Just a touch of refreshing addition to the uber savor of the chicken in the cream sauce with the Liguor on top. She's amazing! She said she posts the days special every day on here. I will be checking in regularly. She has won my soul with her food. I might even try a veggie dish. I'm sure it would be amazing. I usually would never eat chicken dishes either, but I got a nudge from a higher power who knew I'd fall in love! I did. I did indeed... (With a chicken dish? Not me. I luv all things pork, crab, lobster, ribeye (no not any beef, ribeye, prime rib, or short rib), and shrimp. Not chicken... ) I get her chicken dishes anytime. Don't get me started on the price!!! $7?!?!?!?! read more

Good food but the guy!!! Boy was he rude as hell. He wanted to charge me one dollar for a cup of ice!! Because I asked to have a separate cup with ice. He's bugging. In a mall full of other food vendors, I just went and got it from somewhere else. It was ridiculous. He kept telling the son not to give us the sauce , he would come and give us the sauce like I was going to run away with it. I understand he was all alone taking orders and cooking but that is no way to talk and treat he customers. My land was salty. But the sharwama was great. I won't be going back!! Smh!!!! read more

I'm usually lazy about reviewing restaurants. BUT this place is fantastic. I frequent the space where their pop-up is set up, and have been enjoying their baklava (the best I've ever had).
