Was skeptical walking in because it's in EAV and I'm not into trendy things (aka bao/poke bowls/etc.), but really missed my hole in the wall spot that used to be somewhat similar to this place in my mind so gave it a shot. Delicious food--got the chicken shawarma bowl and the lamb entree along with the mint tea and coffee. Both drinks were cold and homemade--the mint tea was 10000% on spot. Tasted like bubble tea without the bubbles aka healthier and mintier. Coffee was a bit too sweet. The food was delicious--large portions, warm pita bread that seemed homemade although I'm not entirely sure, but they were thick and chubby unlike most store bought ones. Will definitely be back. Just sucks that the earth is on fire and that we're being constantly hammered to stop using single waste products and this entire spot/food row has only disposables...which is why I give four stars cus if there is no earth, there is no delicious food. read more

Obvious their clientele is the It takes some maneuvering through the concrete buildings to find it, but the Service was fast and friendly. I did not know that Marrakech Express was one of the food locations in We Suki Suki until I saw their tent at the Emory Farmer's Market this past week and looked up their Yelp profile! I ordered the nabati denjal (eggplant) plate, which had a spiced eggplant curry served over yellow basmati rice with a side salad, white garlic sauce, spicy harissa sauce, and hummus and pita on the side. I live one hour away from this place but one day randomly I got here. I decided to try the Baklawa and its the best Baklawa I have ever tasted in my life. After that, my mom asked me to seek more Mediterranean places near us and we tried, but we just ended going back to Amal. The one hour away it's worth it. Today I tried a vegetarian plate: eggplant and chickpea stew with basmati rice, green salad, hummus, a Baklawa and a ice tea with mint... I almost cried because it was extremely delicious. Marrakech Express brought me back to when I studied abroad in Morocco during college. From the taste of the food to the friendless of Amal, it is truly a taste of Morocco in the middle of Atlanta. Her authentic, homecooked food is something you need to experience for yourself. I had the chicken with rice and salad but after trying my friend's hummus and pita - I should have ordered a side of it as well. You receive plenty of food and by the end, you will be full! I'm happy to write that the Fefela was delicious! So delicious in fact it inspired me to write my first Yelp review. My best friend who lives in Atlanta introduced me to this gem before my flight back to New York. The chicken was tender and flavorful with the spices and orange sauce. There was a combination of sweetness with the white sauce that was a softening balance with the spice. Basmati yellow rice below the chicken made the dish filling. Having peta bread and hummus on the side paired perfectly! For dessert, my best friend and had the baklava. The chef and owner, Alaoui, wasn't there today. The food and service is always great! The owner/chef Amal is the nicest lady, she always greets with warm smile and helpful. I got nabati combo, which came with rice, chickpea and eggplant curry, salad, hummus, pita, baklava and a drink for 8$. Isn't it amazing!!! You will adore Amal as soon as you meet her--she is so welcoming and always ready with a sample of the day's specials. I got here on a Saturday and I can see why it has such positive reviews. The service was good, the price was really good, and the food was good. I ordered the chicken felfela and was yummy.
