Our brunch/lunch server was amazing and I wish that I remembered her name! The gal at the hostess stand was a complete robot compared to her. The parking lot was a nightmare to squeeze in and vulture in a circle for a spot (this was around noon on a Sunday so I totally get why it was so busy!) The interior is way too dark. I had to use my cell to read a menu. I guess on a date night, or having a drink at the bar, I would like the dim vibe, but for our family having brunch and lunch, it was just stupidly dark in the corner we were seated in which happened to also be below a window, so the daylight was our best light feature lol. The Food! Marlowes NEVER disappoints. Every location that I've ever eaten at is incredible and consistently good, especially the asparagus fries and the lobster nachos. Several of us had breakfast items which were also great. My children and I appreciated that the bathrooms were gender neutral and clean. I'm just sorry that I don't remember our server's name because she was fantastic. read more

If i could give zero stars i would . LENA is the rudest person I have came across in a while ! I was at lunch with a friend who had recently gave her a lyft ride as well and she rude to the driver as well! I'm not sure of the hiring process here at Marlow's but LENA has got to go! Other than that food was amazing! read more

Came here with the whole family and no one had a bad meal. We called ahead day of and they were able to give us a reservation same day. Our server Kevin was wonderful very attentive. The restaurant was packed so you could tell it was going to be good. The grouper sandwich was one of the best I've had! The kids loved the presentation of their meals. The steak was perfectly cooked on the salad. The restaurant was really cute and clean. We will definitely be back! read more

We ate here after church excited to come back to the menu from just a month ago. I have always loved Marlow's. I understand the new iterations of items but this was the first time in decades I couldn't eat my meal. I ordered the Banh Mi wrap which was a staple previously that I loved! They added this chili crunch (any of it was too much but it was excessive) and I could not stomach just the initial taste. Also, the version of hummus they came up with tastes like store bought Sabre hummus. Unhappy to also see the fried mushrooms go but understand the need to switch things up (for the better you would think). Fortunately, the waitress was lovely and the service was even timely.....an hour later my daughter out it the blue goes "that lunch was gross" if that gives you an idea of the level of disappointment with the food for that $$. Yes, I was polite and tipped more than generously. Hopefully they update the menu recipes soon (or go back to a month's recipes). read more

Good food and good service. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. Solid choice.

The food was really good - we had the chicken soup, trout dip, and the bistro filet with twice baked potato. The soup was hot and tasty. The smoked trout dip with pita chips was the best bite of the meal. The filet was cooked as ordered. The twice baked potato was not what you would expect. It was shaped like a muffin cut in half. It was tasty but not what you would expect. The service was good and our waiter was great. He made special effort to ensure the food ordered did not contain dairy. The place was clean although the lighting was a little lacking. read more

Absolutely packed on a Wednesday night. I sat at the bar where there was 1 seat open. I ordered the $13.80 wings. They split them half and half (half buffalo and half something else). I can't remember, but the non-buffalo one was better. The wings were big and well flavored though. The $14 black and blue burger was standard. I got jalapeño grits as a side and that was great. I can't order something like that in California. Lively spot. Doubt I'll be traveling through Duluth soon, but I had a fun time. read more

We always seem to end up here after an event on the other side of town or after a late concert and have not yet been disappointed. They are open later than other places and food and service are always on point. The crab dip is awesome, as well as the burger and fish and chips. The restaurants are always nicely lit and clean and inviting. It's nice to have a local chain you can count on. read more

My wife and I stopped by for a couple appetizers and a beer and the food was amazing.

Highly recommend... great food and service in a chill atmosphere. The fried okra appetizer is a must try.

Food was outstanding. Service and drinks were impeccable. Ambiance was casual and friendly. Highly recommended for food and drinks.

First time patron - sat at the bar enjoying my cocktails and then ordered a steak and salad from the burly bar tender - 30 minutes later - went to the men's room and noticed my dinner sitting on the pick up rack - sat back down and inquired about my steak and the burly bartender went over to pick it up and to deliver it - guess what cold as ice and nothing worse than eating cold steak. Inexcusable and if the bartender would have checked it while it was finished, I would have had a hot steak. Not a happy camper - staying at the Marriott next door - first visit and last visit. Too bad as the place was extremely busy... read more

I took my mama here for lunch. I ordered the shrimp and grits and a pale ale. About the time I was finishing my beer, the food arrived. It looked good but when I took one bite i had to turn around and slap momma right across the face! Legit food, cold drinks, great whiskey selection! read more

We are on spring break with our 9 & 7 year olds, pulling a camper. I picked Marlow's Tavern based on outside seating, ease of finding parking close by and Yelp says it's good for dogs. They would not let us sit with our dogs outside. Very disappointed. There were only a couple people sitting outside as it was. read more

Warm Brie Fondue wasn't great to us. Tavern wings with buffalo sauce on the side- JA & I liked. Firecracker shrimp was decent. I think I ate it by myself bc my daughters is not a big shrimp lover. Black & bleu burgers & fries- all 3 guys got and they liked. Panini chicken sandwich & fries good with side of ranch. Their ranch is good. read more

This place is bomb asf in my opinion. Me and the ole lady tried it out and was pleasantly impressed. The ambiance was so chill! The dim lit dining room was just right. We tried the wagyu beef hamburger, wings and got some fried asparagus, which was absolutely divine! Everything was just on point! Million dollar question, "will we go back"? DAMN STRAIGHT! Marlow's Tavern seems like now an atlanta staple. You can find one in every new shopping center. I was looking for a restaurant with covered patio for lunch with 3 other friends on Saturday which happened to fall on Valentine's Day weekend and the forecast said there might be rain. Thank you Yelp for helping me with the search. I saw there's a covered patio at this location and called to make a reservation at noon. When we arrived, we were the only table outside while the inside was bustling and definitely was almost full. I was pleasantly surprised the patio had heaters. It was also really really covered since there were make shift walls (tent), which made you feel like you're inside. Since we were the only table, I didn't mind it. Our server was very attentive and excellent. He didn't forget to come check on us outside or fill our waters. I ordered the Tavern Burger and had it done medium, a bit bloody I think I would get it medium well if I was to order it again. I was intrigued by the chickpea fries so decided to try it for the first time. They came out looking like fried tofu or French toast sticks. The inside was a bit mushy but the flavors were good. There's also a decent selection of beer and I enjoyed my lunch with a Guinness on tap. read more

We have been regulars at this Marlows since it opened. We also look for Marlows in other parts of town if it us meal time after an event. This was such an occasion - headed back into Gwinnett after a soccer game. Restaurant was fairly busy, but we were promptly seated. Service was a bit slower than usual to start - but they were working through a rush, and we got our drinks and an appetizer to share, and settled in. 35 minutes after ordering our meal, we began to wonder what was going on. No one had come to the table to freshen drinks, no need as to our food, and we wondered if we needed to go hunting. At about 40 minutes, food arrived. Wife's shrimp & grits were fine, no complaints. I ordered the trout dip - it was fine, no complaints. I had also ordered the Parmesan Fries as the other half of my meal - stone cold. We ordered the fried okra for the table - stone cold. My son's burger was dry and overcooked with lukewarm fries. We returned the okra and Parm fries, elected not to get replacements since we did not want to wait another 30+ minutes. Service from that point forward was even more scarce, borderline surly. No manager came to the table - which should have happened automatically. E-mail sent to notify Marlows of the events has gone unanswered. I will not write off all Marlows locations, but my local Duluth spot is off the rotation. I can understand a failure of expediting, but to simply not care is a bigger problem. read more

Went here on a Sunday night at 5:15pm. We were told it was a 20-25 min wait for an inside table and outside, heated patio was open. We opted to wait for an inside table and went to the bar for a drink. The bar gets a 5 star rating. They were quick and attentive. After 35 minutes we went to check where we were on the list and they said, Oh, we are ready. So they walk us to a a table that is occupied and said, wait, come back to the front. They gave our table up because they said they called us. Um, we were right next to you at the bar and they go up near the bar and call out names and they never did that. So they offered us a table on the patio again. FINE, we'll take it but only because we have a show to go to and we don't want to be late. So we get seated outside and it's not very busy out there. Three waiters walked past us and not one stopped to take our order. Finally after a table that was sat after us was getting their drinks, I called out to the waitress and asked if she knew who our server was. She was like, Oh, I don't know, let me check. She comes back and says, your table ins't on the list but I can help you. We had sat there for 20-25 minutes without anyone coming up to us. That is pretty unacceptable. Once she helped us, she was very pleasant. I ordered the brisket grilled cheese and wasn't impressed. There was lot of fat on the meat which I had to pick off. I probably wouldn't go back to this location unless we sat at the bar. read more

Located conveniently off of i85, we chose this place to eat prior to going to our event at Gas South Arena (right across the street) No expectations since we had never dined here before. We were quoted a 30 minute wait for 3 people but we were seated in about 10-15 minutes, so that was really a great start to our meal. The menu looks appetizing. We decided to start with crab and shrimp nachos. I wasn't a fan. It desperately needs a side sauce but there were none available (that would compliment seafood nachos) My salmon entree came out piping hot and was pretty decent. 3/5. The drinks were superb. The burgers (not pictured) have a fantastic grill taste and I was kind of wishing that I ordered one. Our server was really good. Checked in when needed and was quick with his service. Not completely writing this place off. But I will reserve it for casual drinks, burgers and fries. read more

Really like the spot. It's a great small chain restaurants that have won a lot of awards. I typically have a really tight ship and consistent food. They also post a lot of options for tons of diets. This time I got the Asian salad with all he tuna. The tuna was not favorite very much, but definitely cooked to perfection. The salad itself was pretty large and diverse. The dressing was absolutely delightful. Mixed all together, it was a pretty solid dish. I would like to have Seymour salads with vegetarian options and/or seafood. That black and blue salad with some salmon would've been awesome but I didn't want to ask how they would go about that. I should have. The server was incredibly attentive and on her game. She did kind of stress me out because she had a pretty high pitch voice, visited the table a lot and kept calling us "friends" over and over. She got it all right tho. Very clean bathrooms. Great parking. Solid choice. read more

Food is fresh and good portion. Bar tenders alway friendly and talkative. Good place to go hangout. Place is cozy been twice last year.

I have been frequenting Marlows for several years, including when they first opened. I used to really enjoy the quality of their burgers and dishes but it seems like post-pandemic they've expanded their menu and the quality of their staples has gone down. The burgers are still okay but again, the quality has gone down. I also used to love their fries and it seems like they've changed them. They're either too soft and not golden or burnt. The service is typically pretty good so no complaints there. It's a nice spot to eat outside when the weather is nice, indoors can get a little crowded. Overall I don't mind going here occasionally but its definitely changed over the years and its not a go-to spot for me anymore. read more

Marlow's definitely lives up to its claim of traditional food with a twist. The service and food were both great! I'm in town for a conference and didn't have much time for lunch, so we ordered online and our food was ready when we got there. The chicken panini was really good and very filling! The "tempura mozzarella" was kind of like a flattened mozzarella stick which added a tiny bit of crunch and an interesting, delicious twist. All of the flavors-the basil aioli, arugula, focaccia-worked together really well. The truffle parmesan fries didn't really taste super truffles or parmesany which was disappointing, and the reason I didn't give 5 stars. read more

Went here on a Thursday for Happy Hour and we knew the happy hour menu was kind of small, only consisting of deviled eggs, hot chicken sliders, shrimp tostado and kettle chips. With this small selection we had our heart set on hot chicken sliders and the shrimp tostado. Unfortunately they didn't have the tostado so we asked if they would be assign something to the already short happy hour menus and they said no. That was disappointing as were the drinks. We had a pineapple mojito which was just ok. The only thing we enjoyed was this flatbread (not on the happy hour) which was a Greek version flatbread with humus, tzatziki and chicken and cheese. read more

The service at this location has gone down tremendously we've noticed over time. This use to be our spot for so many years. I promise you, this location does not reflect the excellent Marlows brand we're so use to. I know several people who've frequent here for years say the same thing too. I hope it doesn't become a casualty like the mall of Ga location did. Service is everything because there's too many options in this city. I hate it with a passion when places make you feel like it's your fault for coming in and expecting good service. I never expect perfect service because things happen and you're dealing with people, so I get it. But the basic good decent service shouldn't be asking for much. I'm just heartbroken to see this one change because we've had so many great gatherings there. I'm too disappointed in how things went today after visiting, I'm not going into details because I know it's not The Marlows brand. The wrong people working for you can mess up something so good. I hope they fix it soon. We're going to stay away from this location moving forward. Customer beware! read more

We came back recently to use a birthday coupon and service was exceptional again. The patio was a little warm from the heaters and all of the plastic window things closed. I asked the hostess if we could open some since it as a nice day and she opened them all!! It really made our visit to enjoy the weather!! Melinda was our server and also amazing!! She informed us about the Marlow's app and made excellent recommendations. The truffle fries and fried okra were very good!! The grapefruit cocktail was very refreshing and bigger than the pineapple rum drink thankfully. The grouper sandwich was a little spicy but amazing flavor!! The jalapeño corn was delicious! I got the dynamite shrimp Again since I liked it's so much last time; however, this time it was covered in shredded carrots which was overkill. I had to pick around it and it takes away from the sauce so a little less would be better. read more

What! Saturday night 6:06 and no line. Thomas our server came right over and took our order. I ordered the black and blue burger with asparagus fries. The best fries this side of the perimeter. The burger was ordered medium but came out rare. I gave it a 8.75. The tomatoes were ripe and juicy. The bacon was well cooked a bit chewy like I like it. Mine disappeared with none leftover. The wife ordered the grilled chicken platter. Came with cauliflower rice and green beans. The chicken was moist and juicy. It was a very salty but tasty . The wife gave it an 7. The cauliflower and green beans were very good. The wife received 2 nice pieces and took a doggie bag home. Thanks Black and Blue Burger read more
