The atmosphere inside has all the little private booths like in Ireland. We've actually had the same booth the last 2 times eating there, kinda crazy. The service is first rate, very attentive and welcoming. I ordered the Shepherd's Pie (of course!) and my wife got her corned beef and cabbage. Old Blind Dog Pub in Milton completely surprised me -- in the best way possible! I've always loved Braveheart, and this place is filled with memorabilia from the movie. I literally sat next to William Wallace himself (yep, a full-sized statue), and the whole pub feels like stepping back in time -- rustic, cozy, and full of character. We arrived a few minutes before 11 a.m., got seated right away, and parking was no issue. The service was friendly and quick. We started with Buffalo Chicken Egg Rolls and Deviled Eggs -- both were delicious. The egg rolls were crispy with great flavor, and the deviled eggs had bacon on top and a mild taste that anyone would enjoy. My wife ordered Mom's Meatloaf, which came sliced over mashed potatoes and green beans with gravy -- moist, flavorful, and comforting. I had their signature Braveheart Fish & Chips, which they've apparently been serving for 14 years and is their best seller (according to the menu), and now I see why. The fish was fried perfectly, golden and crispy, with great fries and tartar sauce. Even the bathroom fit the theme, with a Braveheart movie poster. Overall, it's a fun and unique pub with great food, service, and atmosphere. I'm already planning to come back to try their BLT and Monte Cristo sandwich. This is my 5th review over seven years. I have become a "regular " at the pub. We typically enjoy a Friday evening meal here and have grown very accustomed to the great staff. This has become our "Cheers" in Milton. The service is always good and the food specials surprisingly tasty. The main menu is chocked with favorites you will enjoy. Some of my favorites are the onion soup and Doghouse salad. The portions are more than adequate, so be thoughtful when ordering appetizers and entrees Johnny is our favorite staff member. I love the interior design here and the service is always great. Every table we've sat at here feels cozy and intimate. The ambiance alone makes the dining experience here incredibly memorable but above that was the impeccable service. Our server was so attentive, friendly, and exceptional in every way! He checked on us often to make sure we were enjoying every aspect of the meal and made great recommendations for our entrees and desserts. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. The fish and chips were served in a sizable portion - large chunks of fish and well-cooked. My only gripe is I wish it had more 'chips'/fries to accompany it! Overall very tasty though. Our second visit, and as usual we sat at the bar, and we continue to be super impressed with the bartenders and their hard work, attentiveness and how friendly they always are...Had the beer cheese and pretzels which were very good, great consistency and taste for the cheese in particular. We also had the fish and chips, which were ok but not really that great. Nice breading, but the inside was far from the "flaky white" you look for; ours was flat-out grey. Even a bit watery. I don't know for sure, but certainly didn't taste or eat like cod, and seemed possibly frozen. We'll give the fish another shot next visit so stay tuned. Still really like the atmosphere and service and will continue to make this a routine stop. read more

My dad visited Olde Blinde Dog once and wanted to take us there, so we went recently for lunch. We had our dog with us, so we sat on the patio. They have a a few tables for outdoor seating. But the really impressive part about Olde Blind Dog is the way they have decorated the inside of the restaurant. You can tell that a lot of care and attention to detail went into this place, and it is such a cool spot. You really feel like you're in an authentic Irish pub. My husband had a burger and said it was OK, but he would try something else next time. I have a chicken salad on Sourdough and it was good. The fries were delicious. Our waiter was really nice, especially to our pup! Every time he came out, he made sure to say hello. I would definitely come back here if I was in the Milton area. Located in the Crabapple Market, this location is my favorite location in the Metro-Atlanta area though I do not make it here often since it is quite a trek to get to lol. Went in for weekend brunch and I just love the layout and décor of this place! It makes me feel like I'm dining at a bar during the Medieval times. We ordered the Chicken and Waffles and the All Day Irish Breakfast to eat and of course the Bottomless Mimosas to drink. The mimosas were on point and the service was great, but minus one star because I wasn't a fan of the chicken in my Chicken and Waffles because the pieces of meat were very bland. Underwhelming beer menu for an Irish Pub and when my beer finally came out, it wasn't even cold. Service was not only slow, but didn't even ask if we wanted drink refills. I'm often skeptical of going to eat at a bar and even more skeptical of purportedly 'authentic' Irish pubs outside Boston, but Olde Blind Dog was a pleasant surprise. The interior looks exactly like the pubs I loved visiting in Ireland, with dark wood snugs and Celtic decor. The drinks list is great (though I wish there were some nonalcoholic options). And the service isn't overly effusive but still quick and polite. The food is actually pretty darn good, too! My companions enjoyed the Irish pub classics of bangers and mash and shepherds pie and adored them. I got a chicken tenders basket with multiple sauces. While the fries were just okay, the tenders were great--well-seasoned and excellent with the homemade ranch dip. The good was great. Milton burger cooked to the perfect temperature and the buns are amazing (I even spent a carb on it). . The salad had cranberries, candied pecans and a great maple vinaigrette that might make you eat the entire salad and spoil your dinner. The vibe there is nice. Pubby is the best way to describe it. Very cute and comfortable. The best thing about the restaurant, though, is its service. Our server, Erin Reagan, was amazing! She absolutely made a quick dinner out (after a long day of meetings) FUN. She had a great personality and offered suggestions. (She said she had tried most of the food on the menu which is always a good sign - especially when they can legit smile when they say it!) She was very accommodating and checked on us frequently - but not TOO frequently. So sweet and warm. We have been to this restaurant many times and it is always good. Authentic pub atmosphere in downtown Milton. It's a large place and they do have dining options in the pub/bar area and restaurant only area. I usually don't order fish and chips but I tried theirs for the first time. Fortunately, it was not greasy at all and as a matter of fact the batter was awesome and the fish was very flaky inside. The chips, however, were not very good as they tasted like they were sitting around a while. My wife had the blackened chicken pasta and she loved it! Have lots of draft beer options. All of the usual Irish suspects along with a handful of local crafts. So why only 2 stars? The problem with this visit can be seen in the attached photo. In the men's bathroom, one soap bottle with no top on it is not acceptable. Also one of the two sinks in the men's bathroom didn't work at all. Poor hygiene practices are totally unacceptable in restaurants. Invest in automatic soap dispensers and then keep them filled. Bathrooms should be checked and/or cleaned hourly, and every half hour during peak times. Properly train your staff and then better manage their efforts. Hygiene practices in restaurants should be nothing short of excellent. read more

Oh my gosh! Probably thee most authentic Irish Pub in the Atlanta area. The motif. The decor. The whole restaurant looks like you just walk into a pub directly in Ireland!! The cozy all dark wooden booths are so cool! And the food is just as authentic! Everything was absolutely delicious! From the Celtic Clam Chowder to the stout beer!! A very busy place to say the least. Lol. But so worth it. The corn beef was amazing and the meatloaf sandwich with the caramelized onions was delicious. If you're ever in the Crabapple area in North Atlanta you owe it to yourself to give this place a try. I guarantee you won't be disappointed. We visited this pub for the first time tonight. The building is beautiful and transports you to traditional Irish pubs! However, very disappointed in the food.. My spouse had a burger and enjoyed it. However, my meal was inedible. I ordered the Monte Cristo. The sandwich was a deep fried ball; overly drenched with oil... squeezed it and oil drizzled out. In edition, it was almost all breading. There was almost no ham, turkey or cheese in it. There were three pieces and almost all breading. After visiting right after we received the meals, the waiter did not return... he was very busy. He finally came back as we were ready to leave to ask how everything was for us. He saw my plate that had all the breading and I asked him to let the kitchen know there was almost no protein in the sandwich. He said he would and brought us our check. So very disappointing; not even an attempt at service recovery even though it was obvious there was almost none of the sandwich eaten. read more

He was friendly and welcoming, told us all about the place and chatted with my husband about the joy of English/Irish sausages. (You just can't get 'em here, it's a thing).
