Old Blind Dog Pub in Milton completely surprised me -- in the best way possible! I've always loved Braveheart, and this place is filled with memorabilia from the movie. I literally sat next to William Wallace himself (yep, a full-sized statue), and the whole pub feels like stepping back in time -- rustic, cozy, and full of character. We arrived a few minutes before 11 a.m., got seated right away, and parking was no issue. The service was friendly and quick. We started with Buffalo Chicken Egg Rolls and Deviled Eggs -- both were delicious. The egg rolls were crispy with great flavor, and the deviled eggs had bacon on top and a mild taste that anyone would enjoy. My wife ordered Mom's Meatloaf, which came sliced over mashed potatoes and green beans with gravy -- moist, flavorful, and comforting. I had their signature Braveheart Fish & Chips, which they've apparently been serving for 14 years and is their best seller (according to the menu), and now I see why. The fish was fried perfectly, golden and crispy, with great fries and tartar sauce. Even the bathroom fit the theme, with a Braveheart movie poster. Overall, it's a fun and unique pub with great food, service, and atmosphere. I'm already planning to come back to try their BLT and Monte Cristo sandwich. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for good food and a fun experience in Milton.

This is my 5th review over seven years. I have become a "regular " at the pub. We typically enjoy a Friday evening meal here and have grown very accustomed to the great staff. This has become our "Cheers" in Milton. The service is always good and the food specials surprisingly tasty. The main menu is chocked with favorites you will enjoy. Some of my favorites are the onion soup and Doghouse salad. The portions are more than adequate, so be thoughtful when ordering appetizers and entrees Johnny is our favorite staff member. He always makes us feel welcome and insures we are well attended to. Say "Hi" to Johnny when you visit. He'll make you happy you did!

I love the interior design here and the service is always great. Every table we've sat at here feels cozy and intimate. The ambiance alone makes the dining experience here incredibly memorable but above that was the impeccable service. Our server was so attentive, friendly, and exceptional in every way! He checked on us often to make sure we were enjoying every aspect of the meal and made great recommendations for our entrees and desserts. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. The fish and chips were served in a sizable portion - large chunks of fish and well-cooked. My only gripe is I wish it had more 'chips'/fries to accompany it! Overall very tasty though. I also absolutely loved the crème brûlée. It was the right amount of sweetness to end off the meal!

I love their soup but this cup was almost $7 during lunch hours...? Otherwise, cozy atmosphere as usual.

Our second visit, and as usual we sat at the bar, and we continue to be super impressed with the bartenders and their hard work, attentiveness and how friendly they always are...Had the beer cheese and pretzels which were very good, great consistency and taste for the cheese in particular. We also had the fish and chips, which were ok but not really that great. Nice breading, but the inside was far from the "flaky white" you look for; ours was flat-out grey. Even a bit watery. I don't know for sure, but certainly didn't taste or eat like cod, and seemed possibly frozen. We'll give the fish another shot next visit so stay tuned. Still really like the atmosphere and service and will continue to make this a routine stop.

My dad visited Olde Blinde Dog once and wanted to take us there, so we went recently for lunch. We had our dog with us, so we sat on the patio. They have a a few tables for outdoor seating. But the really impressive part about Olde Blind Dog is the way they have decorated the inside of the restaurant. You can tell that a lot of care and attention to detail went into this place, and it is such a cool spot. You really feel like you're in an authentic Irish pub. My husband had a burger and said it was OK, but he would try something else next time. I have a chicken salad on Sourdough and it was good. The fries were delicious. Our waiter was really nice, especially to our pup! Every time he came out, he made sure to say hello. I would definitely come back here if I was in the Milton area. I highly recommend checking it out!

This was a separate order of fries and the chicken tenders and fries. I forgot to take a photo of the other appetizer

I was there with a bunch of friends in St Paddy's Day. Management increased the price of beer to $10 from $7-$8. That is a crappy move. I ordered three appetizers and what I got was what you would serve a five year old. They were just shoveling drinks and food and charging hansomely. I took photos of the food

The chili was pretty good. So was the service. I suspect it will be the place to be for St Patty's day.

Situated in what appears to have been a private home at one time, the restaurant has multiple rooms which provide the perfect setting for private dinners or (as for us) romantic evenings. Having requested a quiet table, we were quickly ushered into a charming room with only four tables set apart from some of the larger rooms. This was perfect for our anniversary celebration for just the two of us. Our waiter was friendly and complimentary of the menu and it was difficult to choose which of the intriguing entrees to select. After much input and consideration, we chose the braised short ribs and the fried chicken breast. These were not the pedestrian dishes you'd expect. The chicken was tender on the inside and had a delicious crunchy batter which held up to the red eye gravy and mashed potatoes. The short ribs were so tender they almost melted in one's mouth. Our waiter, Justin, provided excellent service and was charming, attentive, and knowledgeable. We have to agree with him that everything was delicious! We will have to return so we can sample some of the other fares. Delighted to have discovered Milton's! We will definitely be returning.

My deepest apologies and appreciation for Jovanny's response. The food was good, drinks, good, server very nice. Now, for the reasons I will NOT be back. A poor host can kill an experience and this one today did just that. I asked a few questions about items in the gift shop none of which could she answer, had very little knowledge. Poor training. When my friend arrived and time to be seated, she guided us to our table, laid down the menus and walked away before we ever sat down, no words. We went to leave. She never acknowledged our exiting, but my friend told her goodbye, and then she raised her head. While I was waiting on my friend two managers, walked by I say managers because they had keys hanging from their belt and what looked like walkie-talkies. No eye contact no hello no welcome no nothing. Service should aleays be be on point and especially at their prices. You can get good food anywhere. I go out for the experience. Your hostess and managers killed it and not in a good way. First and last time.

I did have reservations not sure if it was necessary but none the less I had them. While waiting for my husband to park the car the greeter/waiter let me take a look at the menu. They had bar seats available as well as a closed in patio. I decided to utilize the patio, I told the greeter not to forget about us. lol At the time we went it was not very crowded. There were quite a few people but not overwhelming. There were nice animal pictures on the wall, maybe the head of a bison was there. Lots of Liquor behind the bar on display and part of the decor. The doors were a little decorated for the holiday.Big wooden doors. The patio did have televisions there but they were low so if I wanted to hear I couldn't. There was a football game on so we kinda looked at it from time to time. Even though it was my birthday the restaurant didn't do anything for me. No deserts, no happy birthday, no cheers!!, nothing like that. When celebrating a birthday I look forward to small things like that if a restaurant offers it. I ordered a cucumber martini. Didn't like it so we know we wont be ordering that again. The food was ok, nothing to complain about there. I don't know why I didn't take a picture but I had the B&B Burger with smoked bleu cheese. I would come back when I am in the area. I was happy that our waiter did not forget about us during our time there.

We started with the pimento cheese dip and were both surprised to find that it was served hot along with several pieces of soft, warm bread. It was SO good and a nice change from the way that most other restaurants serve their pimento cheese. Even hubby loved it and he is usually not a fan of cheese. For my main, I ordered the grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup. I am not exaggerating when I tell you that this is THE BEST MEAL I have had in a really long time. Total comfort food that hit all the right spots on this chilly afternoon. The cheese on the sandwich was just the right amount of ooey gooey and the tomato soup was perfection. I was tempted to lick the bowl when I got to the bottom, but that wouldn't be very dignified while dining out, so I did the next best thing by sopping up the residue with what was left of my sandwich. It was delicious and I will be back for more soon. Hubby ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and said it was the best chicken sandwich he has had. He is hard to please, so between the pimento and sandwich, 1920 achieved the improbable in impressing hubby. Service was impeccable. The main reason we had not come back in a while is because it is a small space and can feel pretty congested when it fills up, which is not the most comfortable. We don't like feeling crowded, but after today's visit, we decided that the limited space is a small price to pay for amazing food and service, so we will undoubtedly return soon. Perhaps we will try sitting outside instead when the weather cooperates. Big thanks to 1920 for starting our new year off on the right foot!
