Saw a video on tik tok and it looked good. Immediately walked in and there wasn't much seating but we did happen to get a seat as a family left. Cost us about $40 for our whole entire food. The lady is very funny and cusses at you which don't take it to the heart. She's very lovely, humble and kind. We had tip her on our receipt and she was busy but she saw it and made sure to thank us personally which I really appreciated. The food was not seasoned well but it is made to order so it's very fresh and hot. My boyfriend got the beef curry and it was pretty flavorful but it wasn't spicy even though we had asked for spicy. This is a bit better than Panda Express but not that much better. The place feels very old fashioned which I don't mind. As we were ordering, they showed us what our food would look like on the picture which was super helpful as the menu is pretty huge lol. The tangerine chicken is okay, kinda like orange chicken but more orangey. read more

Loved the customer service and food! The workers are hardworking. I hope they take breaks because the line is always long.] They literally have many menus slapped up on the walls. My friends and I upgraded our plates to bomb a$$ sh*t. We were happy with our orders. It was a bit overpriced, and we did come here for the experience. The food boxes were stuffed and lasted us a few extra meals, which was great. The restaurant was clean until they get slammed with customers, which seemed like most of the day. This place is known for its BOMB ASS SHIT!!, so I had to try it. Marks kitchen has been in business for 24 years, and they know how to make Chinese food. I ordered the spicy shrimp EXTRA shrimp, crispy noodles, with pork fried rice. The food is made when ordered so it's a little wait but worth it. The service is excellent but straight forward so be ready to take a joke. I enjoyed the food and the service and I highly recommend you try it. read more

My previous review mysteriously got deleted. I'll try my best to keep this brief and remind everyone again yelp reviews are quite hit or miss. Sure there are some restaurants that have really good or really bad reviews and are clearly what they are. But I've seen people who have never had good food before say something that is average at best is the best they've ever had. That's just how it is. This is one of those restaurants where you've got people who maybe either never left Fresno or have not been to a diverse town full of great food. I will tell you, LA SF and Sacramento will spoil these people and they will look back at this restaurant like they've got scammed. Aside from the mediocre food (keep in mind we didn't order the big ass plates, but two of the regular combo plates were already around $30), service was horrible for us. The lady forgot to give our order to the cooks, maybe because we didn't order their overpriced "big ass plates" that weren't on their menu. After waiting 40 minutes we decided to ask and turns out they have not even started our order yet. We waited another 20 minutes and that was that. Take my review for what it's worth, it comes from an unbiased Chinese man. read more

Mark's Kitchen is overpriced, overhyped and lacking quality and flavor. We decided to try this place out due to their TikTok and we were severely disappointed. The food is extremely overpriced and you don't get your money's worth. Expect to pay $30 or more for a plate that should be no more that $14. The owner lady is definitely a hustler and will hustle more money for the food from you. Food is lacking flavor and it's nothing special. This famous place was so fun to experience! I was so glad I was able to meet the owner and she was hilarious! Just as seen on TikTok! I got a smaller plate to try a little bit of everything and everything was great! I would recommend to go and try it out at least once for the experience! Came here due to TikTok blowing it up on social media, it's a 20 minute drive for me. They do give u big portions of food! The eggrolls are my favorite with that sweet and sour sauce they have. Obviously had to check this place out because it went viral on TikTok for its very large plates. My boyfriend got the beef and shrimp spicy large plate that the owner had recommended and I got the simple plate 4C. I must say for a 25.99$ plate, it was primarily chow mien and not a lot of meat which is what we were expecting and not as spicy as we'd like it. My plate was just fine for the price, i think the more simpler dishes are worth it. Always a laugh coming in here and speaking with the owner, she's hilarious. She does accept card and food comes out fast. read more

TikTok made us do it! Definitely go check out Auntie Helen and her attitude! She's so charismatic and sweet! All that $h!+ talking you see on TikTok, she really isn't, but then again she is lol! We just had to check her out! The videos made her food look so dam bomb! But honestly, it was typical Chinese food. Expensive too! Each plate was nearly $30! You should just come for the lady with the potty mouth. She is entertaining. The food is the icing on the cake. It's one of the better places to eat. You can get a cheaper meal but that food is not made to order. You want something that is made to order. She will recommend what is good there by showing you her special dishes on her iPad. If you've seen the reel on Tik Tok, she's the real deal. Go sit and eat there and enjoy the entertainment, or take it to go. Either way, I believe it's worth it. It is one of the better places in the area. read more

I can't even begin to desceibe the magical flavors in thier food. The menu can be overwhelming but once you get the hang of it, its smooth sailing. The cashier lady makes it clear you will like the food or "get refund n get da fk out." Lol, its all in fun. The portions FILL the togo containers almost making it hard to close. Good was way over priced and not very good. I was supposed to get a chicken and shrimp combo and the two pieces of chicken was not chicken! It had tiny little round bones, not chicken bones. And they had the balls to charge $60 for two combos. SMH I had to leave not even halfway through the meal because I suddenly got severe cramps in my stomach and broke out in a cold sweat. A Chinese food location with decent food. We had ordered the "bomb ass shit" with a couple of sides of tangerine chicken and sweet and sour pork along with some egg rolls. We had waited a total of two hours before we actually received our food. There was only one cashier that was taking orders and calling out order numbers. She had also wanted to create memorable experiences for her guests by recording her patrons and having everyone try the food in front of her which increased the wait time significantly. The recent hype of this establishment has created an atmosphere of excitable energy, but from that the speed of service was seriously lacking. I do hope that they bring on more people to help with the higher volume as I would be disappointed to see this place go. read more

The coffee wasn't very strong, and instead of fresh half-and-half, they only offered the small packaged creamers. My parents ordered the Number 3 and requested it on a plate. The eggs were overcooked, the beans lacked flavor, and the potatoes were not crispy at all. We also found it odd that it wasn't served with bread or even a tortilla. I ordered the Number 1 as a torta, and I would say that was probably the best thing we had. The chorizo was flavorful, and overall I'd give the torta a 7 out of 10. Unfortunately, the atmosphere and overall food quality did not meet our expectations. Based on our experience, we won't be returning.

Let me start this off by saying YES, YES, YES! I initially found out about this place a year or so ago on tiktok and instantly fell in love with Helen. Her authentic self is the perfect mix for not only good customer service but and fun experience overall. The portions are huge, like really huge. Like almost cant close the container huge. It easily can last me 2.5-3 meals every time. Theres plenty of seating and gives off the hole in the wall family owned restaurant experience I look for going around the world. She has gained a lot of popularity over the past couple months which has come with some longer wait times. But who's to complain! The community coming together to support this local business and get great food while their at it? That sounds like an amazing deal to me. The bad reviews could have easily been solved if they would of just called and put their order in advance, I've done this a couple of times. But the experience doesn't just come from the food it also comes with placing your order with Helen and for that I'll wait in any line. I've come to the point where she recognizes me and my girlfriend and crack a few of her own jokes she has for us. My recent visit to Marks Kitchen left much to be desired. Despite the hype surrounding the place, the reality fell far short of expectations. The chow mein, in particular, was a major letdown. The meat was undercooked and incredibly dry, resulting in stomach pains and subsequent diarrhea for myself and my companions. Not only was the food subpar, but the overall experience did not justify the steep prices. It's disheartening to see a restaurant receive such acclaim only to deliver such disappointing results. The customer service was phenomenal the staff was attentive and kind, even while the place was bustling with activity. It was clear how popular this spot is, as the restaurant stayed busy the entire time we were there. Definitely worth going here. Price is a lot, but considering the laughs, and that the owner is willing to give you whatever you want on the menu, even if you want to mix everything, it's great. The fried rice was more subtle but still good, especially with the beef, chicken, and shrimp mixed in. The salt & pepper calamari had a lighter flavor and a breading that reminded me a little of tempura. It was a different take on calamari than I'm used to, but their chili sauce definitely helped add some extra flavor and heat. They also have a selection of beers, Crow & Wolf's Dark Horse, plus a few different flavored soju options. I'll definitely have to try one next time. They also have some platter specials and happy hour Monday-Friday starting at 3 PM. The interior has a cool, casual feel that works well for a date, family meal, or even a solo lunch. The staff was really nice, there's plenty of seating, and parking was easy despite the lot being shared with the surrounding businesses.
