This place is known for its BOMB ASS SHIT!!, so I had to try it. Marks kitchen has been in business for 24 years, and they know how to make Chinese food. I ordered the spicy shrimp EXTRA shrimp, crispy noodles, with pork fried rice. The food is made when ordered so it's a little wait but worth it. The service is excellent but straight forward so be ready to take a joke. I enjoyed the food and the service and I highly recommend you try it. read more

The line was really long and only one person on counter taking orders and handing them out. Need to hire more staff. The food is extremely overpriced and you don't get your money's worth. Expect to pay $30 or more for a plate that should be no more that $14. The owner lady is definitely a hustler and will hustle more money for the food from you. Food is lacking flavor and it's nothing special. Obviously had to check this place out because it went viral on TikTok for its very large plates. My boyfriend got the beef and shrimp spicy large plate that the owner had recommended and I got the simple plate 4C. I must say for a 25.99$ plate, it was primarily chow mien and not a lot of meat which is what we were expecting and not as spicy as we'd like it. My plate was just fine for the price, i think the more simpler dishes are worth it. Always a laugh coming in here and speaking with the owner, she's hilarious. You should just come for the lady with the potty mouth. She is entertaining. The food is the icing on the cake. It's one of the better places to eat. You can get a cheaper meal but that food is not made to order. You want something that is made to order. She will recommend what is good there by showing you her special dishes on her iPad. If you've seen the reel on Tik Tok, she's the real deal. Go sit and eat there and enjoy the entertainment, or take it to go. Either way, I believe it's worth it. The chow mein is the best in town. However, this restaurant has some competition with Chans Chinese restaurant. The only reason why I didn't give it a 4 star is because the fried rice wasn't that great. Just tasted like white rice with added meat/veggie or whatever style you ordered mixed with eachother. Social media fame is the downfall for places that were once amazing. I'm not going to knock the food here. The food is good, but the price you are paying compared to other places say in the San Francisco Bay area what you actually get is a joke. I'm not saying the portion was small but for what I paid I don't think it was worth it. I was attracted to this place because of some post on social media, but again like I have said greed and social media will be the downfall of many of these places. I spoke to other customers who were local and they said the food portions have gone down significantly since they found Internet same and the prices have only risen. The restaurant itself was kinda dingy but not bad. The one amazing thing about this place is the lady at the register, she is funny, foul mouthed, definitely a hustler, but her demeanor is awesome. Me being a USMC veteran who isn't a thin skinned person absolutely loved her vibe, she isn't rude but if you don't get folks like her then you might have a problem. She is what makes me contemplate coming back here, she is like the social media star lovely Mimi on steroids, but more authentic. So here's my recommendation and I know if she reads this she gonna be like the mother F effing son of a you get the point, but my suggestion would be to get your prices down to 15-18 bucks for a combo plate and the include things like your spicy beef. I know this can be done. If places in the sf Bay Area where the cost of living is far higher can deliver far lower prices with the same portions or even more then I'm sure this place can too. It's like the old saying the fast quarter is much better than the slow dollar and will attract a ton of people. The more people the more sales and I promise you those quarters will add up to far more than those slow dollars. I honestly put a ton of thought into this review, I even went to the Bay Area and went to a spot similar to this at the great mall of the Bay Area in the food court. I paid 18 bucks, got way more food and a three item combo of better quality and I was able to have half chowmein and half fried rice with out extra charge. I ordered two three place combination plates for 36 bucks, it fed my wife, two kids and myself with leftovers to spare. If you can get to what I am recommending I would give this place 5 stars and would be my sole go to Chinese food restaurant when I come to Fresno for my va appointments, which means I would come here 2-3 times a month minimum. If you do this I would have no doubts lines would be out the door daily for lunch and from 4pm to close. I worked the food Industry for years in many very successful restaurants and for spots like this the potential is here could be amazing. I'm telling you take my recommendation and keep that lady at the front and tone down the money hustle you will sell out daily. read more

I was so impressed that when I had a chance to be in Fresno, I said to myself, I'm definitely coming here because the lady behind the counter is hilarious. She's mean in a nice way. As far as the ambience, it's like an old burger joint that turned into a Chinese food/burger joint, not much going on, lotta people coming in and out ordering their food. She records people tasting her food. She makes sure they're happy if they're not happy, well you know what she says, you can "get the F&@$" out" I would give it 4 1/2 stars (not a 4 star). Because the only reason is, it was a little pricey compared to like a China Garden or China Express type place, where they fill your Styrofoam container with food. It was almost twice the price as far as the food was concerned it reads $12.99 but when it's all said and done, it's $20. I was by myself so it's not the end of the world but it's not a cheap place to take a family. Yes it was fresh, it was spicy and garlic just the way I wanted it. She asked me , if I liked it spicy or not, I should've asked for some rice because it was mostly chow mein, vegetables and shrimp.,,, Would I come here again? Good ass food! According to the one woman show and everyone who goes. Her food is bomb and her personality is amazing too. Honestly I mainly go for her. The vibe is cool. She's hella busy taking a million orders at once because the food is that good. She's also multilingual and will figure out the best way to communicate with you. I've gone with my Mexican friends and family and she knows some Spanish pretty well tbh. I've even taken one of my Deaf friends and she beautifully tried to figure out the best way to communicate with him.
