    New York steak

A casual restaurant with amazing food and friendly staff. Fried rice is flavorful and chunky! New York steak so tender and beefy! Their carrots are heavenly as well! Always stop by when I am in Fresno!

Updating from the last time I've came here I think it's been a couple years.. I'm acting surprised that they're still here, meaning that their business is doing good. So that also means the food must have gotten better. Place still looks the same inside from what I remember. Same set up like a diner style feel. Service is fast and friendly. Finally made the decision to try it again. We ordered the special roll which looked and tasted really good. Usually my daughter will omit all the sauces drizzled on there but I was in shocked when she murdered half the roll and not complain about it! It was good and we will definitely be back to try their teppenyaki style places and other rolls they have to offer

Food was good. Spent $55 for 2 dinner specials including tip. Was taking our food to go and asked for an extra sauce and was told I needed to pay and extra $1.00 plus tax for the one sauce in a small little cup. I asked if I really had to charge my card $1 for a sauce and he said it would be $1.08. I wasn't trying to run my card for that. You'd think after I spent that much for two meals one little sauce wouldn't be a big deal. But apparently so. So unfortunately I wouldn't come back. And this is also why I don't like tipping before I even get my meal.

Dinner Special. Teppan steak & chicken. With 2 shrimp, veggies, bacon fried rice & a salad.

Went to Sushiyaki for the first time and was so welcomed by the cashier/chef! We ordered the dinner special and also a California roll & a lava cake roll. Sushi was delicious! Lava cake roll is something so special! Fair amount of tables and large windows for ample natural light. Was comfortable but not stuffy. We'll be going back!

Chicken and Steak and Fried Rice Plate with salad for the side

Food was really fresh and good 8.0/10. Got the steak and chicken and fried rice plate with a salad on the side. Got boba melon dew but it was more of a smoothie then boba tea but still was really good and recommend. Would most definitely be back. Service was a lil long and my food may have been seating for a lil. Store was clean and well maintained.

Maybe it was an off day but this was just SO PLAIN!!!!! The chicken was dry , the steak seemed like it was boiled rather than on a flat top. If you like black pepper , they won't disappoint with that! Hot&Spicy sauce was the only thing great.

When you walk in, they're quick to seat you. We went around lunchtime when it's usually busy, but we were seated and got our food within about 30 minutes. I ordered a lavender mocktail, but it wasn't my favorite. The lavender flavor was a bit too strong and overpowered everything. I was expecting something more subtle. I ended up switching to a Shirley Temple, which I enjoyed much more. The staff was very accommodating and welcoming, and the overall vibe and aesthetic of the place is really cute. We usually go for the teppanyaki experience (Wasabi on Fire style where they cook in front of you), but this time we just wanted something quick and simple. We ordered a side of fried rice, and it was amazing--I would get it every time. I also tried a deep-fried roll with scallops on top. I wanted to try something new, but it wasn't really for me. The combination of the deep-fried roll and cream cheese was a bit too heavy, although the scallops were actually really good. Overall, I'd give the roll a 7/10. I probably wouldn't order it again, but I'm glad I tried it. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'd definitely come back

Not bad ig for value. I do wish they gave a free teriyaki sauce on the side for any of the lunch specials instead of charging 2 bucks. Food was warm, except the salad (obviously literally). Sushi was packed!! Rice was nice. Booth materials felt like dragon scales and the rice bags on the pillars had us saying Nani. Lighting in the place felt vibrant. Now let's talk about service... I was immediate greeted by the two Sushi chefs behind the counter as I walked in. Not long after, the host greeted me and handed me a menu for me to select my order to go. I considered a poke bowl, however, their sauces were pretty standard. So instead I opted for their seaweed salad that came with a number of protein including tuna, edamame, shrimp, avocado, and masago. It was $19, so it wasn't necessarily inexpensive, however I figured a poke bowl with a couple proteins would run me right about there as well. The sushi chef got right away to work preparing my meal and I was in and out within 5 minutes. When I got home, I opened up my box and was a little underwhelmed with the presentation. The protein is cut up into small pieces and mixed in with the seaweed salad. In addition it is not pure seaweed as it is also mixed in with a bunch of other greens such as sprouts. So while the presentation was not what I was expecting, I was pleasantly surprised that I really enjoyed the flavors and textures. I will definitely order this again.

The avocado and eel roll, though, skimps on the eel and the avocado. The Alaska roll would've been nice to have had the salmon on top instead of a small portion in the middle. The lobster roll was very bland and tasted like imitation crab. The prices were pretty reasonable, but the amount of food could've been better within the roll. All the rolls were 8 pieces. The miso was good. Depending on where you sit in the sushi section, you may have a decent show of the Teppanyaki show in the other half of the restaurant.
