    Southwest corn salad with mahi-mahi

While passing through the area during our drive back to Ossipee, we decided to stop in the area for dinner. We have enjoyed Marker 21 before so why not there! We were seated on the second floor deck looking out Lake Winnipesaukee. Our server, Kayden, was excellent! He took great care of us! We opened with adult beverages, a lemon drop for my wife and an IPA for me. We also ordered a small order of homemade chips as a starter. For our dinner my wife ordered their chicken tenders and I their southwest salad adding blackened salmon rare. During our last visit, I was very disappointed, and how my salmon came out, not blackened and well done. I was very happy to see that my salmon was indeed rare and blackened! Great work, thank you! My salad overall was absolutely delicious and my wife enjoyed her huge order of chicken tenders and homemade chips! Great visit this time both the food and our server were excellent! Unfortunately, it is probably our last visit this trip. Looking forward to our next!

We enjoyed an early dinner with friends at Marker 21. We arrived on our friends boat and tied up at the dock located just behind the restaurant. Big dining venue with lots of indoor and outdoor dining options. The views of the lake from the upper decks are great. They don't take reservations and it looks like the kind of place that is always busy. Since we were early, we had no trouble getting an outside table with a nice view. Our server was pleasant and food came from the kitchen quickly. The general consensus around the table was that the food was OK, nothing bad but certainly nothing memorable. Fries on the side were kind of limp and sad, even though I had asked for crispy fries. Cocktails were nice and potent, and we thought prices were reasonable given the touristy location. Maybe come here for some drinks and apps, and find a better venue for entrees.

The location of Marker 21 is very different & appealing. Went up the stairs to find an open dining area with lots of windows facing Lake Winnipesaukee. My husband & I arrived about half an hour past the opening time & there were already 4 tables of customers, 1 of them that had about 8 people. There were (2) bartenders/waitresses on staff. We were there during the less busy/less touristy season so we figured we'd be in & out for a good lunch. I'd say that we must've caught them on an 'off' day. We were greeted right away & our drinks were brought right over. Our meals took about 20 minutes to arrive but when we were finished, no one came by to check on us or bring the check for nearly 30 minutes. That was the most disappointing part... My husband ended up standing at the bar to ask for the bill so that we could head out. Now, about the food. The chicken wings on the "Bites" part of the menu definitely can serve as a meal. I had the Ramen Bowl & it was very good! It filled me up quickly, as it is quite large & loaded with noodles. I took the rest home but it did not taste as good as it did when it was fresh, but that's to be expected. I'd give Marker 21 another chance... I'd love to try more items on their menu & give it a shot during the summer months / sit outside.

Hands down the Best Burger of my life!! 1/2 pound of juicy delicious meat! Bacon jam, lettuce and tomato on a brioche bun. It was cooked perfectly (I ordered it rare) so many places cook burgers well done which dries it out and ruins it IMO. Service was excellent! Staff was friendly. I was by myself so I sat at the bar-there was a good, positive energy like the staff was enjoying themselves and wanted to be there! And...don't forget the Spectacular View of Lake Winnipesaukee! Just beautiful! I am a local from Wolfeboro and will return! Thank You Marker 21!

Service was good but the food was terrible. There was also only about 5 other people in the restaurant when we were there.

Al fresco on the deck facing the water was certainly a bonus. Service was good, attentive and timely. Give it a try and enjoy!

The view is great and the food is ok. I didn't care for the hostess when I went there last year but the wait staff was polite

Good service, great views. The corn chowder was great. The Buddha bowl tasted a little too much like soy sauce for my liking.

They once did whole chicken which was pretty perfect outside on the old patio. Pretty much impossible to undercook something you smoked for hours but very easy to dry it out, and it was great. Actually brought the whole fam there that day including our dog. It's petfriendly outside. They have three main beers that you can always get, and then about another 3 beers or so of rotating and experimental beers/ciders. If you want to get an idea of the staff this is from my first visit there a few years back. I actually think this was towards the beginning of Covid. We had to get out of dodge and enjoy some relaxation by the lake. When we showed up everywhere we drove by the spots we normally frequented and everywhere was closed, sometime near 8 pm. We did a search and found that here was open and headed over as fast as we could to try to get something to eat. Unfortunately the grill just closed, and we resigned ourselves to a liquid dinner. The chef then pokes his head out and offers to make a pretzel for us, and we could not have been happier. It was a big one too. The staff was just so welcoming and seemingly very happy that we were there... which is not always the case in the general area... that Burnt Timber became one of our usual spots instantly. Each time we've been back it has always been that way, which is even more rare not just here but back in the Boston area as well. So again if you like smoked and fermented things in an unpretentious atmosphere with very friendly staff I'm pretty sure you'll love this place too

We were really looking forward to visiting Burnt Timber Brewing & Tavern, but unfortunately, the…read morelack of wheelchair accessibility made that impossible. There was no clearly marked ADA-accessible entrance or any obvious way for a wheelchair user to safely access the inside of the restaurant. We considered sitting outside, but the awning poles blocked the walkway to the point that we could not comfortably or safely navigate the area with a wheelchair. Even if we had managed to sit outside, we had no accessible way to get inside if the wheelchair user in our party needed to use the restroom. What was perhaps most disappointing was that not one person offered us any guidance, alternative entrance, assistance or possible solution. We were simply left trying to figure it out ourselves. Accessibility is about more than just getting through a door. A person using a wheelchair should be able to enter, dine with their family and friends, and access a restroom with dignity. Sadly, we weren't able to do that here and had no choice but to leave. I sincerely hope Burnt Timber takes a serious look at its accessibility and staff awareness so another family doesn't have the same experience.
