Just fantastic. We ordered 2 octopus: 5 stars Razor clams: 5 stars it is an appetizer. Cod fish - 4.5 stars it was great, just not as good as Everything else. Acord: 5 star - bread stew made in fish water with shrimp. Likely the best thing we ordered tonight. The bill came out for 5 people with drinks to 125€ Service (5+ stars) Just phenomenal. From the hostest to the waiter, to the people bringing out food, their main goal was to make us have a great time. They saw us attempting to take a picture, and asked if they should take one or us, a few minutes later.

This place is overpriced and racist! We asked the waitress if they still had octopus and she said they were done for the day. than we saw them serve 3 other tables 3 plates of octopus after we asked. I asked for vinegar she said they didn't have and the table next to us got a bottle put on their table 15 mins later. Than we asked for change and they deliberately did not give it to us until we hunted them for it. We had zero table service the entire time we sat down while everyone around us who was native speaking got the utmost attention. You should be ashamed of yourselves to be located at a Time Out Market and be blatantly rude to tourists. Time Out should be ashamed to have you as a business under their brand.

Fried soft shell crab and garlic prawns

Located at the Time Out Market with an option to sit inside in the bar or outside in the patio. The day was nice so we opted to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine and people watching. The menu isn't huge but has a decent selection of food. We ordered the fried soft shell crab (€11), the prawns in garlic sauce (€14), and some cheese that wasn't very tasty (€5). The soft shell crab was worth every euro! The plate came with 2 decent medium sized crabs. Really had such amazing flavor that all I added was lemon and then for a few pieces dipped it in their version of some sort of tartar sauce. I ate it so slowly because I was really trying to savor every second! The prawns we expected to be a lot bigger, still somewhat believe we got the wrong dish. But the garlic butter sauce they were sautéed in was really good! We had decided not to order bread and now I regret it because the garlic butter would have been amazing to dip the bread in! The prices were a bit higher compared to other places in the market but it was nice to not be surrounded by the massive crowd on the inside of the market. I would say this place is worth the visit purely for the soft shell crab!

Great food - great staff - good times! After having some lunch inside the Time Out Market two days ago, we had lunch at this place. It's also part of the Market with some seats (bar-like) inside. But most tables are located in the back outside under some shady umrellas. Nice to be outside in the sun. We spotted this place when we walked around the Market before. Food looked good, menu interesting, so we gave it a go. Turned out so good that we came back the very next day. First time around (on a friday) we had following items: Softshell Crab: Crispy, very fun and yummy Oysters: Very very good. Best ones we've had in (mainland) Europe yet. Cured Ham: Fantastic...I could eat several plates....it's like candy, but with meat. Oh yeah! Clams: Nice, no sand at all, fresh and tasty Service was fantastic, taking care of us very well. We loved it and made a reservation for saturday (good so....it was completely full). Service was friendly and very attentive again and this time we ordered: Half-Dozen Oysters: Still fantastic Cured Ham: Real Men's Candy.....love it! Softshell Crab: also as great as yesterday Monster Shrimps: my god.....what a size. I've seen lobsters smaller than these. Very good, very tender, very fresh. But also pretty expensive. But it was my birthday....so what :) Both times we had a bottle of local white. Prices for wine are more than fair and start just at about 14 Euro. Prices for the meals were also fine. Some items actually very good priced even. Ok, the huge shrimps we might skip next time....but it was fun having them once. Besides the great staff I really have to say again how fresh their seafood is. Absolutely fantastic. If you want good seafood, skip the food stalls inside and head right here. Highly recommended!

Great place for fresh seafood. The gamba's and the king shrimp are amazing. Service is good. Wine and beer r ok. It's in the time out market.,

    Crab

The crab was cooked in a way that allowed you to eat the whole entire thing without peeling the outside. It tasted decent. I wished they had pagers instead of making you wait near the cashier.

Excellent excellent excellent!! The variety of seafood, is excellent and the service was truly amazing. These guys hustle and are so accommodating. I seriously don't get the negative reviews. I have never had a better afternoon on a patio having some of the best seafood in Portugal.

Seafood rice, gooseneck barnacles, and some razor clams! Amazing!!!!

Slow service serving cold food for a high price. The place itself and the food market is nice, but would not recommend to eat here.

Table seating was by the front and along one wall with the rest at the bar that dominated the middle of the restaurant. Menu was almost the same with a great selection of seafood ranging from tacos, ceviche appetizers to pasta, fish and shellfish entrees with many Asian flavors. The Peruvian ceviche was very nice with thin slices of fish, radish and red onions. The corn nuts added a nice crunch. It also came with a small bowl of toasted crostini chips. The cuttlefish tacos were delicious.. Big chunks of cuttlefish topped with tomatoes and placed on a small tortilla with a white sauce. We actually ordered just one but comped a pair. Sea bass was the best with its crunchy pan fried skin side topped with nori and the moist fish went perfectly with the barley and miso sauce combination. Even the bok choy was cooked well. The squid ink pasta had a mild sauce but scallops were nicely seared. At the end the owner offered us a shot of ginja to try for our first time. It was sweet but at least lower in alcohol,16%. Another great meal and service even two years later. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting some seafood here in Lisbon.

We did not have any reservations and we're having difficulty being seated at restaurants but our party of 5 was very lucky that there happened to be a cancellation for a larger party. The service was excellent and I really enjoyed the vibe and ambiance. It was a very modern ambiance with some nods to the seafood theme of the restaurant. Our server was so fun and had great recommendations. For the small plates, we shared the tuna, scallop, burrata shrimp, mixed ceviche! We were told the mixed ceviche was the most popular. It was one of the most unique and favorite dishes and had sweet potato in it (such a great twist!). All the dishes were great but I also really enjoyed the combination of flavors and textures in the shrimp burrata and tuna dish. For big plates, we had the octopus and the golden rice. Both were very unique dishes. I loved how rich and creamy the risotto was in the golden rice and enjoyed the crunch of the fried chickpeas with the octopus dish. The wine selection was also great! We had three different bottles from varying Portugal regions. Definitely would return in a future visit!

When you find Estrela Da Bica, it is on a side street right off of the steep street with the trolley that is famous. There was a small open door with a sign asking us to wait outside to be seated (so as not to crowd the restaurant). Make sure to follow these instructions, as my family and I watched some other unaware tourists walk straight in, grab a menu, and promptly get asked to go wait outside. After a minute or two, we were seated by one of the staff (possibly the owner?). The staff was all women, and they seemed very proud of their restaurant. The decor was quirky and very homey, with various mismatched tables and chairs. We were informed that the food is all meant to be shareable plates, and we started off by just getting some sourdough bread with dips. There were multiple different kinds of bread and the dips kept them interesting, one being a fish spread. One of the appetizers caught my eye instantly, the roasted pork belly, banana mash, and pico de gallo. I usually like banana flavors mixed with savory (I've tried weird combinations like a peanut butter banana hamburger before) so I knew I had to try this. The outside of the pork belly was perfectly crunchy while the inside was tender. As I expected (but I would guess most people wouldn't), the banana mash complimented the rich savory flavors of the pork belly. For the mains, we ordered the pink marlin tataki with pineapple chutney, potato and rosemary sourdough pizzeta, roasted Hokkaido with butternut mash, dried nuts sand, and house kimchi, the confit codfish cheeks with poached egg and crispy chips, and the pork cheek ravioli with mustard sauce and buckwheat popcorn. They were all intriguing flavor combinations that I would never have thought of in my life!! What stood out to me was the confit codfish cheeks with poached egg and the crispy potato chips. We had tried other codfish dishes around Lisboa and had noticed that it was the most common fish there. But this combination was luscious, with the soft egg coating the fish and the chips adding a nice crunch to every bite. It was like a fish carbonara in a way with the poached egg providing a sauce. This was the standout dish to me, representing what Lisboa is all about while not being afraid to take risks. All of the other dishes were interesting too, and each left me with new ideas of combinations that I would have never thought of. After the dinner was so impressive, we were enticed by the dessert. We got the chocolate mousse and basque cheesecake with guava jam. These were Like I said, the staff seemed proud of their establishment and rightfully so. Estrella da Bica may be a small, simple, establishment, but they are not afraid to push the boundaries of gastronomy. This was the kind of restaurant that flies under the radar, but I consider myself lucky to have stumbled upon it.

The atmosphere and food were so good that it didn't even matter. Our waiter was fabulous. This is a place you need to try.

He talked about how this place was in the seedy part of town but I was surprised to see how much the neighborhood has changed since then -- it's literally on pink street now, one of the biggest tourist areas in Lisbon.
