    Their infamous Octopus Hot Dog
    Kayla A.

Having read so many stellar reviews about this place and its octopus hot dog, I had it on my hit list. Even though we didn't have a reservation, they were able to seat us. We ordered the: -Octopus Hot Dog (of course!) -Roasted Sardine Niguiri -Pan Sear Prawns and Garlic -Tuna tartare on toasted brioche with white chocolate and lime -Fried Seabass -Lobster Roll -Fried Scallops Overall everything was pretty good, but I wasn't in love with everything. The one stand out dish was definitely the Fried Seabass. It was really good! Sadly the Octopus Hot Dog was a bit underwhelming as I kept getting some hard pieces with every bite. The service was very friendly and quick. So although I most likely won't be coming back, I'm glad I tried Sea Me. Croacker Ceviche

This is a review for Sea Me Next Door. We reserved via The Fork which had a 30% off all entrees ordered. The inside has a bar on the left and taller shared longer tables. There is one private booth table which we selected. It is a tapas style restaurant, so for two of us we ordered 6 dishes plus a dessert. The staff explains the menu and that a lower section shows larger dishes. We loved everything that we ordered but especially the lobster roll (their take don't expect a Maine style roll), sardine nigiri, garlic shrimp (the sauce was incredible and came with bread) and the dessert. The food came out very quickly but we were having dinner at 7pm. The total for two people was around 80 euro with the discount, but we did not get drinks other than still water.

Hands down our favorite restaurant in Portugal. We visited on our 2nd night in Lisbon and had to go back at the end of our 2 weeks trip to enjoy it again! Visit dates: 15Oct25 and 27Oct25. Food: Toro sashimi - generous cut, super buttery and melt in your mouth. Tuna tartare - AMAZING. We will be dreaming about this for a long time. Best bite during our trip. Don't be intimidated by pairing white chocolate with raw tuna! It magically works! Octopus carpaccio - also an unexpected pairing with octopus and orange. Octopus was sliced so thin, so tender! Sea scallops - fresh picked from their on ice area, freshest of all restaurants tried in Portugal! Razor clams - also picked from their on ice area, fresh and prepared well! Service: Service was attentive. We had the same waitress both times we went! First time, she explained the menu and the fish market to us. She also made sure we had a nice progression with the dishes we ordered. Vibe: First night we did not have a reservation but they were able to get us in. Busy place, can get a little crowded as tables are set close together. Partial open kitchen and sushi bar.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place. The entire stuff was amazing! From the moment we arrived to the moment, we laughed, they made sure that we felt welcomed in like family. They gave us recommendations for food and wine and where to go around to all of the good local spots.

There have never been more perfect Oysters! Across continents across global boundaries this place will forever be my home of oyster discoveries. We came. We drank the best wine. We ate dozens of oysters the size of my hand. I'll never know truer oyster bliss!

Great place. Good food, service and a great vibe. The Cod and scallop dishes were perfectly seasoned and delicious. We would highly recommend.

So good I had to do it twice. Time out market has a variety of options which also provide more for tourists taste. This is one of the very few places you can get fried fish. It's tender, lightly battered and flavorful. Eat the ginger and squeeze lemon the fish for an added boost. Half of the fish is pre cut into cubes for easy eating. The other half is left as a filet. There's plenty of meat in the head as well.. The greens are good as well.

I visited the sister restaurant called Sea Me Next Door, which is a few doors down from the original Sea Me restaurant. Aesthetically pleasing with the cutest decor. Food was a bit pricey and tasted just okay. Ordered artisan bread with Catalina tomato, salted clams in garlic and prawns in garlic. Portion size was very small so definitely order more than what I did. Food and everything was good, but not a place I would necessarily return to. Maybe the original restaurant but not the sister restaurant.

Fabulous spot with incredible seafood. There's great seafood all over Lisbon, but this is the spot you go to for something more elevated for a premium price. Service and ambiance were outstanding. Some of the nicest table service we received while there. We tried the scarlet prawn (must get), clams, sardine toast, and tomato bread. All were fantastic with the clams being the most passable - wish we opted for the fish stew which looked incredible. Only note is the staff will offer you the tomato bread and a port wine to finish the meal. These are not complimentary and will be added to your tab. We didn't mind because they were both swell!

All things seafood can be found at Sea Me. Well prepared and extremely fresh. The service is great and very informative. Casual, but still clean and modern.

We were able to secure a last minute reservation at this restaurant and it was amazing! There's a great long, communal table in the middle that we sat on and the overall atmosphere is modern. There's a great display of all the fresh catch that you can choose your meal from too. The food was great, simply put... we started with an order of the Cockles and Razor Clams; I think Razor Clams are my all-time favorite things! I also ordered the Prego, which I found to be one of the best I've had so far in Lisbon. We finished off with the Dorado, grilled and seasoned to perfection! The food here was just really, really good! Service wise, all the servers were very friendly and were great to the kids (we had the youngest kids there). I would highly recommend this restaurant!

Surpassingly great meal in the hotel. The view was great and so was the food. Don't pass on the salad with pork belly !! I loved it !!

Pastries de Bacalhau - the crust was not brown enough. May be longer time. The stuffing was flavorful but it's more the cod taste than the flavored mash potatoes which I prefer. I actually prefer the other local restaurant I tried the night before better. Caldo Verde - The potatoe part of the soup is great. Perfect viscosity but the flavor is not. It wasn't salty enough but more importantly is the flavor of the veggies and the spicy sausage they supposed to use that makes the soup taste different. Grilled giant pawns - The flavor of the prawns is not as intense as expected and hope to be. The squid ink pasta also lacked of flavor. That's disappointing. With the prawns, they should at least use the prawn shell to make sauce for the pastas. The pasta was tasteless, didn't even use enough garlic and olive oil to flavor it up. Seafood rice - Another disappointment. They used fish, small mussels and little bit of shrimp pieces along with some bigger whole shrimps and mussels. However, the rice was lack of the true seafood flavor that made from shell fish. They also added cilantro which overwhelmed the whatever left of seafood flavor. The lemonade was not a sweet lemonade but sour. Fyi. It's not fair we just went to another restaurant in the neighborhood and everything was so much better but people should know.

The service was excellent and I really enjoyed the vibe and ambiance. It was a very modern ambiance with some nods to the seafood theme of the restaurant. Our server was so fun and had great recommendations. For the small plates, we shared the tuna, scallop, burrata shrimp, mixed ceviche! We were told the mixed ceviche was the most popular. It was one of the most unique and favorite dishes and had sweet potato in it (such a great twist!). All the dishes were great but I also really enjoyed the combination of flavors and textures in the shrimp burrata and tuna dish. For big plates, we had the octopus and the golden rice. Both were very unique dishes. I loved how rich and creamy the risotto was in the golden rice and enjoyed the crunch of the fried chickpeas with the octopus dish. The wine selection was also great! We had three different bottles from varying Portugal regions. Definitely would return in a future visit!

One of the most interesting meals I have had the pleasure of having in Lisboa (or maybe anywhere in…read morethe world). When you find Estrela Da Bica, it is on a side street right off of the steep street with the trolley that is famous. There was a small open door with a sign asking us to wait outside to be seated (so as not to crowd the restaurant). Make sure to follow these instructions, as my family and I watched some other unaware tourists walk straight in, grab a menu, and promptly get asked to go wait outside. After a minute or two, we were seated by one of the staff (possibly the owner?). The staff was all women, and they seemed very proud of their restaurant. The decor was quirky and very homey, with various mismatched tables and chairs. We were informed that the food is all meant to be shareable plates, and we started off by just getting some sourdough bread with dips. There were multiple different kinds of bread and the dips kept them interesting, one being a fish spread. One of the appetizers caught my eye instantly, the roasted pork belly, banana mash, and pico de gallo. I usually like banana flavors mixed with savory (I've tried weird combinations like a peanut butter banana hamburger before) so I knew I had to try this. The outside of the pork belly was perfectly crunchy while the inside was tender. As I expected (but I would guess most people wouldn't), the banana mash complimented the rich savory flavors of the pork belly. For the mains, we ordered the pink marlin tataki with pineapple chutney, potato and rosemary sourdough pizzeta, roasted Hokkaido with butternut mash, dried nuts sand, and house kimchi, the confit codfish cheeks with poached egg and crispy chips, and the pork cheek ravioli with mustard sauce and buckwheat popcorn. They were all intriguing flavor combinations that I would never have thought of in my life!! What stood out to me was the confit codfish cheeks with poached egg and the crispy potato chips. We had tried other codfish dishes around Lisboa and had noticed that it was the most common fish there. But this combination was luscious, with the soft egg coating the fish and the chips adding a nice crunch to every bite. It was like a fish carbonara in a way with the poached egg providing a sauce. This was the standout dish to me, representing what Lisboa is all about while not being afraid to take risks. All of the other dishes were interesting too, and each left me with new ideas of combinations that I would have never thought of. After the dinner was so impressive, we were enticed by the dessert. We got the chocolate mousse and basque cheesecake with guava jam. These were Like I said, the staff seemed proud of their establishment and rightfully so. Estrella da Bica may be a small, simple, establishment, but they are not afraid to push the boundaries of gastronomy. This was the kind of restaurant that flies under the radar, but I consider myself lucky to have stumbled upon it.

He talked about how this place was in the seedy part of town but I was surprised to see how much the neighborhood has changed since then -- it's literally on pink street now, one of the biggest tourist areas in Lisbon. However, any worry of whether this place was now a tourist trap was assured by the fact that it has remained the same since that Anthony Bourdain episode over a decade ago and pink street just seems to have grown up around it. The olive oil, lemon, garlic, and parsley "salsa" they use to dress everything up is simple but perfect. The dry white house wine was 3.50 euros for a glass. The super bock was flowing too.
