Craving seafood in Irving Texas. This restaurant is close to Irving Mall and about 15 min from our hotel. We had a big group of teens and the staff was very accommodating when we came in. Service was fast and efficient and our server was on point. Se was quick about refills and was really nice since we asked to have the checks split amongst us. The menu had a huge variety of meals. We ordered a combination plate for two. It consisted of two shrimp cocktails .. two ceviche tostada .. two fish each .. 4 shrimp each and it was a lot of good for $35. They have karaoke on the weekends and looks like fun. They have a cowboys section which a lot of my insta friends loved. Overall an amazing restaurant!

Weekday lunch special then don't honor on Friday.

The $3.99 lunch special they advertise outside is for margaritas that are mostly water. They do have $8.99 lunch specials but was told that it's only for weekdays, well I'm here on a Friday and they won't honor it. They also limited me to 1 drink because they ran out and won't make more.

An amazing place to eat real Mexican food , I usually have bad experience with Mexican food , it is very hard to find a good one , this place is awesome very authentic service is great ( even though I don't think the waiters speak English, which is fine with me) Food was delicious service was fast I really recommend this place and I will definitely go again

I got the shrimp nachos which I absolutely loved! It had a lot of shrimp and it came with Chiles envinagres, aguacate, and sour cream. However, I was not impressed with the shrimp cocktail my brother ordered. It was more sauce and onions than anything. Hardly any shrimp and the taste was kind of plain. The service was okay... but the manager was really nice! I will be coming back!

(English down below)…read more Saliendo del aeropuerto DFW, busqué algún restaurante que tuviera sopa de mariscos; no sé de dónde vino el antojo. Digo yo... no sé. Mejorar estos dos detalles llevaría la experiencia en El Viejón a otro nivel. ¡El Viejón, recomendadísimo! ------------------------------------- Leaving DFW airport, I found myself craving seafood soup--no idea where the craving came from. I searched for nearby options and El Viejón came up. I checked the online menu and reviews, then drove 13 minutes, only to discover a real gem. What I loved: The service was excellent. Nidia took care of us--she was not only kind, but also attentive and efficient. Adolfo, the manager, is a great guy. The simple but important things: Their plastic cups are surprisingly original. The menu is simple and humorous. Prices are fair for the generous portions they serve. What truly impressed me: The seafood soup. This kind of soup is simple: either you know how to make it, or you don't--and when you don't, it ends up like the one at Pappadeaux... something to cry about. This one, however, is loaded with seafood (crab, clams, octopus, fish, shrimp, squid, etc.). It has a subtle sweetness, and you can taste every distinct note. Highly recommended. One soup is more than enough for one person. I learned that lesson too late--after also ordering the grilled octopus. I had to get it to go because it was simply too much food. My only two complaints: The tostadas they serve come with chicken that looks like tuna but tastes like plastic. My dog was with me and wouldn't even eat it--which says a lot. Very strange. The other issue is the music: too loud and all from the same genre. If the goal is to honor Mexican culture, there are so many genres to choose from. Just saying--I don't know. Fixing these two things would take the experience at El Viejón to another level. El Viejón--highly recommended.

We had fish soup, shrimp and fish filet with fries, coctel de camaron and taco de ceviche. The fish soup had a bad taste to it, the filet and shrimp were greasy, the coctel de camaron should have had more of a tomato taste they usually use Clamato. The tostada de ceviche was too fishy tasting! The chips came out with some kind of slaw to dip in. Not your normal chips and salsa. I will say that our server Luz Maria was very nice and the margaritas were good! But that's it!!! I don't know what all the hype is about here. Not near the kind of restaurant it should be for what they charge!!

It was SOOOO LOUD though. just so many people and loud. Hard to have a conversation. Got the crab cake salad ($34). The crab cake itself was legit. The salad part was an interesting set up since they just had the crab cake on the side and then the salad on the side. I really liked it! Tried one of the sushi rolls and it was interesting that they added some olive oil and citrus?? when it wasn't specified on the menu at all.. I liked the roll though. It will run you $20+ for one. It's big but I also feel like you would need to order a side if you wanted to make that your main entree. And paying for 2 sushi rolls at that price point is steep. The lobster roll looked good? very saucy though. A lot of the stuff on the menu is market price like the filet, risotto etc.

I continue to be impressed by the service and the food. And when you combine this with the beautiful spring weather in Texas (March), it's one of the best experiences in all of DFW. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - If you haven't been to Water Street, go now while the weather is nice (March or October). I'm writing this review in March when the Texas weather is beautiful. While the inside of Pacific Table is elegant with blue booths and white tablecloths, the outdoor seating next to Lake Carolyn creates a view that's almost impossible to find in DFW: fine dining by the water. 1 Star. Service - The service is great. Our server was attentive, helpful, and best of all shared the special of the day. I always ask my server because when they recommend an excellent dish, it means the restaurant puts in the effort to enable them. Mission accomplished. 1 Star. Food - I went with Pacific Table's special of the day: blackened redfish with creole sauce and a vegetable. WOW. This dish was a homerun. The fish was tender, well-seasoned, and the sauce added a creamy component that reminded me of the bayou. As a bonus, my sauteed spinach that I chose as my side was equally delicious. If I wasn't dining in public, I would have licked my plate. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. Every time I eat at Pacific Table, I try something new and am pleasantly surprised. The combination of service, specials, and amazing Texas spring weather makes this a repeatable restaurant in my rotation. 1 Star.

So I am thankful this places closes at 2:30AM!!! I ordered the Combo #2, market price was only $42.99, which came with snowcrab, 2 lbs of crawfish, sausage, potato, corn. That was a pretty good price for a Californian! The crawfish were okay, the sausage was really juicy and I enjoyed. The snow crab smelled like ammonia ong. I didn't expect much but they should really get on that. The sauce was brown and gritty and soo dang salty! This place was 10 minutes from DFW and open late so I got what I got. Strawberry Daiquiri was basically a strawberry syrup slush mocktail. The restaurant was connected to a food court it appears, and is pretty old and casual.
