We went here for a late lunch. It wasn't as packed. We started off with fried pickles. These were really good and had a kick to them. Of course we came for some shrimp. We ordered two different flavors. The Blu Crab Special season was my favorite which is all the seasons combined. The garlic butter was good but I'll definitely order the Blu Crab season again. Our service was really slow and not as attentive but we had a good time. Will definitely come back for more shrimp! read more

Solid 3.5 to be exact. Food was alright, service was great, prices were great especially the drinks! Our server was amazing! I'd give this restaurant an extra star for the service and the restaurant decor was perfect for a seafood joint with country music playing in the background. Reminds me a bit of Nashville except we're eating seafood. Bloody Mary was good and only $4! We ordered a lb of crawfish and a lb of blue crab in hot garlic butter. Very flavorful but nothing spectacular as far as the taste and quality. Crawfish is currently out of season so it tasted as you would expect from out of season frozen crawfish. Blue Crabs were on the drier end but good. The location is very close to where we live so we'll have to come back when it's crawfish season. read more

I could have gotten better seafood at a gas station. Absolutely the worst seafood I've ever ate. Everything was over cooked, which now I see other reviews saying the same thing. Tough, chewy like rubber. Most expensive garbage I've ever paid for. Server didn't even give me a knife. I literally only got a fork. That's it. I felt like I was eating in a prison. Nothing on any table. No salt, no pepper. I asked for s&p and the server brought me those little packs of S&P that you get in fast food places. I think they steal the packets from McDonalds next door and give them out because they're too cheap to buy Salt and pepper. Honestly, this was a horribly ran food place. The faster it goes out of business, the quicker a real restaurant can move in. read more

First time going to this restaurant and I ordered grilled shrimp and lobster tail that came with garlic potato well let me tell you no flavor in the lobster tail and it was overcooked very chewy as well shrimp no flavor at all , soda was flat and extremely sweet terrible experience and food and that cast me $46 years you would think being this expensive you can enjoy it but not in this place sorry never again read more

So i'm an idiot first off, I ordered 2 servings of the King crap legs thru Uber Eats so I didn't read the reviews until after I received $100 worth of disgusting mushy crab legs that smelled so badly of ammonia that I almost threw up. It was awful and I hope I don't get sick. I called the restaurant to let them know, mainly because I don't want other people getting sick. And of course the first thing she said is " we don't return money you should call Uber Eats maybe they'll return your money" So heads up! I have driven by this restaurant so many times that I just had to try it bc they boast of having actual blue crabs. The menu was the same as most other crab places I've visited, but what set it apart was an Eastcoast delicacy called Blue Crab. This east coast staple is very hard to come by as most crab places always sell snow, king, Dungeness crab legs. For the record, those of us from the east coast know we just don't eat the legs, the sweetest meat is in the body! Well I was dissatisfied and quite disappointed at the soft shell of the blue crab that served. Not only was the meat over cooked, I asked for garlic butter and all I can say is it was like someone dumped a huge can of minced garlic all over the corn, potato, and crab legs and the split blue crab. You couldn't taste any flavor at all. I had high expectations walking in. However, the concept of a crab boil from the Blue Crab was doused. I'm not sure what the chef/cook thought or how he/she was trained, but who overcooks crab? My crab puffs appetizer was way over cooked and were burnt. Best thing of the night was the mozzarella sticks appetizer. Thinking the food was going to be great, I over spent for mediocre at best seafood. Next time I'll drive all the way to Grand Prairie or Arlington to get better crab. I'll have to settle for not getting blue crabs until I can get home to Maryland!! read more

Ok sooo where do I start with this place. (Update: forgot to mention they do use paper straws so good for them) They are trying their best that's for sure but is it enough? The service: services was pretty good. Everyone was more then pleasant. Very kind and sweet as well as attentive for our needs. The place: I like the new change. It used to be Lin's garden or place I forget but it the new make over was much needed. However they are missing the automatic hand cleaner most crab boils have as well as my table ran out of napkins early into the meal and took a minute to get more. We had only been offered one refill the time we were there. The price at it price point we think it was pretty normal considering it is seafood and it tends to be pricy. With that being said the other "error " made me think why did I spend 70 dollars for 2 people at this place. The food : l was surprised ( not in a good way) that we were given paper plates to eat and keep our trash in. This was already troublesome as the food well over filled the 3 paper plates we were given. Once revived ( I had ordered a combo A that has crab and shrimp and lobster ( they were out if lobster) . We ordered the extra hot Louisiana seasoning. It did taste like other places but it was definitely not hot. I chalk that up to me eating lots of spicy food. First think I checked was the potatoes and shrimp to see if they were over done. It looks like they learned from past experiences cause they where just right. However everything has a weird taste to it like if it was previously frozen. I went ahead and asked and other then the blue crab everything was. For its price I expect fresh seafood. I finish the plate but not impressed with the taste. Overall: this place saving grace was the service. Without the kind people working there I would have been extremely disappointed even mad to be honest. I understand this place is new but they need to make lots of changes to maintain customers. To the owner please improve and I will be glade to review the place again. Till then though you are 6 min from my house I will not be returning. We got the blue crab special and it was outstanding. We did the blue crab seasoning with medium heat and it was better than most crab boil places we have been. Been driving past this spot when I visit the Irving area and decided to give it a try. As others have stated the place is cute - but that's where the goodness ended for me. Let's be clear the warning signs were there. First when I looked at the Yelp menus I saw the seafood and then figured the additional Chinese food was a mistake- it was not. I believe that a restaurant should decide on a speciality then master the delivery of that menu. We ordered the fried fish and a seafood basket that oddly enough included chicken? ( second warning sign - I want to charge a lot but probably should toss in some lesser cost items to round out the serving) The fish which had obviously gone bad was inedible. The fries ( had to pay extra) weren't bad but certainly weren't worth the added cost. The frozen shrimp ( all 3 of them) were probably sourced from the freezer section of the Walmart next door. Finally - waitress tip - I shouldn't have to ask for silverware and in this age of covid I'd prefer that they were wrapped versus you handing them to me. Second waitress tip. Well first time here as blue carb. I have been here before when it was Chinese buffet. First the place has been completely remodeled. The A/C was colder on one side more than the other. Looking at the menu it was odd. Placed looked like seafood / Cajun restaurant but was playing 80s pop music and menu also had Chinese on it. Strange!!! I ordered a beer and two waters. The beer was not very cold. We ordered gumbo, fried pickles, mini crab puffs, combo a and added 1/2 pound king crab. First thing out was gumbo. It's was really good. Super hot like microwaved. Maybe not. I asked for Louisiana Hot Sauce and the waitress had no idea what I was talking about. She brought over Mexican hot sauce. Had to settle for Tabasco and I don't really like Tabasco. Then the fried pickles and mini crab puffs came out. We was expecting Chinese crab puffs but they were not even close. The pickles was good just your every day frozen ones but good. The mini crab puffs was very good and soft. The crab puffs was like mini crab cakes. Then the seafood Combo A. It had the garlic butter sauce on it because the wife doesn't like spicy. I got a side of Cajun spice to dip mine in. All in all the seafood was better than I expected . The corn needed to be cooked a little longer. All in all not bad for first time. The place was dead. Bartender sat at the bar on her phone and so did the waitress while she was waiting. One of my pet peeves. Would be 4 stars but the waitresses on their phones , the music and no Louisiana Hot Sauce caused a 3 star. How can you have a Cajun restaurant with no Louisiana Hot Sauce!!!! If the owners or managers read this get Louisiana Hot Sauce and I'll be back to update my review. Ps. COCKROACH INCIDENT. I've been here maybe 10-15 over the last few years and today was the last time I'll ever go. I brought my friends here for the first time and a cockroach fell from the ceiling and landed on my arm. I jumped up and knocked it off screaming and no one from the staff came over to check on us. My friends and I went to the front to pay and they refused to comp my meal. The table behind us screamed when they saw the roach on the floor and the waitress ran over to step on it and wouldn't move her spot until we left. When I called to complain to the manager he said "damn that's crazy. Hope you have a better day." Nasty place with horrible service!!! Save your money and go to kicking crab in Carrollton. read more

We all ordered different crab with different spice levels and seasonings. They were all great, but my favorite was the king crab with medium spice and Louisiana seasoning. So good! The service was great and we received our food super quick! The decor was fun and the restaurant seemed clean. It was a bit pricey but we had zero regrets. They add a gratuity charge for 6 or more people, which I'm not used to, so it adds up quick for my family of 6. Otherwise I would highly recommend! I really wanted to like this place but. The outside kinda looks like a construction zone. Leaves and trash need to be cleaned up. It claims Cajun influence. All except one dish are Chinese food or Chinese food derivative except Cajun Ribs. These Cajun ribs were unlike anything Cajun I've ever had. The prices were high for this area. My wife and I were cautious of this place since it had the curse of sitting on the burial ground of former failed restaurants. We walked in during "lunch time" on a Saturday, and it was basically a ghost town....not a good sign. We sat down and, although they had paper straws (oooh fancy) , they also gave us small Dollar-Store Styrofoam plates that couldnt possibly hold the food from some of their larger menu items. When it comes to seafood, Im always cautious, so we only ordered appetizers. I had the fried pickles and lemon pepper wings. She had the fried oysters and she said they were passable, but of course she had better. The fried pickles were hot and fresh, and the wings were flavorful. However, despite the name, I wouldnt order crab legs from here. There are too many other options in the area that have a better track record. A little pricey at $16.99, however they were worth it. Large, lots of oysters meat and nice and cold. Fresh Fresh. Next was Combo "A", included 1/2 lb. each of shrimp, crab and lobster. 2 potatoes and 2 corn . Tasted Great . Service was good, very attentive and friendly. We were there kinda early at 6pm but place was kinda quiet, not busy yet. People started coming in as we were eating. To Go business was very busy and right next to hotels . I'm in the hospitality business myself, and very picky when it comes to cleanliness, friendliness and quality. They did very well on all points. We will definitely be back again in the future. This place is very good. Been here for work and have ate here several times this month. Friendly staff, consistently great tasting food, and $2 domestic beers. The owners are even here working every night, they are a very nice and lovely couple. I eat a lot of seafood in Florida and this is just as good if not better. I love coming to this place they have televisions so I can catch some games and drinks with friends, only thing about this place is that on weekends it gets real busy so your going to have patience while waiting for your food and even to get a person to take your order, the lobster and shrimp is delicious especially with the blue crab seasoning and I tend to get extra added on mines, the parking lot can get congested so be careful driving in and out on real busy days. read more
