Went here after going not going back for many years when my friends took me. I forgot the name and location but found it on reviews and went there and got shrimp tostada raw shrimp. For some reason they put in cooked shrimp on the top and raw underneath which I didn't mind. The aguachile sauce compliments the food very well. Food was fresh and price was affordable. I didn't get to order shrimp empanadas which I recall were the best since they ran out. One of the best spots for shrimp ceviche if you can get past the veined shrimp. Update: The food here is no longer the same as it used to be. The quality and quantity of the food here has gone down. A coctel or campechana now has like 2 pieces of shrimp and is 90% vegetables for a higher price than it used to be. The empanadas have very little shrimp filling inside. I busted a "U" to try this seafood food truck called "Mariscos Camarena" inspired by the Nayarit region of Mexico when I saw the long line during lunch time. It looks like they changed the name of their truck. Order the recommended campechana or the shrimp empanadas. They are closed on Tuesdays. Order ahead at (818) 321-9303. I was very skeptical about eating from this establishment, because its a Truck.. However I would drive bye this truck for about 2 months and I said I'm going to see and try for myself. There's always a line, from a truck, HMMM. OK. First. I have high standards being in the Business, Service, Quality of Food, and Cleanliness. So the truck was very clean. Ok. then I watched their operation and they handled all the food products with gloves. I love Ceviche, and their Ceviche was good a little spicy, however it was very good. The Ceviche was served very cold and it should be, so I new I was safe. However I did have my temperature device on me,so I did my own temperature. It was 39 below. I ordered four orders of ceviche(3 shrimp, 1 fish). About 90% of the shrimp ceviche was cucumber. Wasted my time and money coming here. Horrible!!! I did go back and they exchanged the shrimp ceviche for fish ceviche. However the girl at the cash register had a very bad attitude. She claimed I took some shrimp out. It was the ceviche order they give in a cup. Obviously we took a little bit when we were going to eat and that's when we noticed most of it was cucumber. She accused me of taking the shrimp out. Why on earth would I waste my time especially on Father's Day. If they were running out of the shrimp ceviche at least apologize and not accuse a customer of taking out shrimp. I use to get ceviche from this place often because it was delicious, however, recently this place has decreased the quality of their product. I have bought ceviche several times, and the last times it has been more of a cucumber salad with maybe 4 small shrimps. There is no flavor and to make things worst, they increased their prices. I didn't like the Aguachiles they tasted so weird. Ugh! the empanadas had no cheese not tasty at all.

So I've been craving mariscos and I've been told this is the place to go. Simple order all WRONG shrimp ceviche , easy right not today I got mixed ceviche and I cant stand octopus, ceviche is watered down no flavor and rubbery octopus even worse! My jaiva tostada wasn't mixed it was lazy layered with the smallest amount of the fixings. It's like I didn't even pay for my food they served them like they were samples. I will never go back to this place ever again and I'll tell everyone I know they are so bad go almost anywhere else but not with Mariscos Nayarit they're horrible!!! read more

We got the campachana and fish ceviche . Omg it was amazing !! We looked on yelp for food near us and we wanted ceviche or something that . We didn't know it was a food truck but once we realized , we went anyway . I wanted a restaurant because I had to pee lol . Glad we did . I usually don't like octopus . I love this place! I have been coming here for years and a lot recently! My dad is from Nayarit and the mariscos from here are authentic. I enjoy coming here because of the authentic homey taste. I always order aguachiles con salsa verde. It is spicy but the taste makes you want to eat more! My partner who's parents are from Michoacan loves the ceviche from here. They have valet parking where you tip them what you would like (Have cash with you for their tip). The neighborhood isn't the greatest which is why I love that they have someone there taking care of your car. People walk into the restaurant with roses/flowers (Having cash, if you want to buy some would be great as well). On weekends, there are grupos who may walk around asking if you'd like to request a song. read more

If I could give this place no stars I would. The cocktails had no flavor. Tasted like water. Had to come home and drench it in ketchup, lemon and tapatio to give it flavor. I am giving it one star because I order the food to go I was buying for my parents I didn't even bother to check but when I got home the aguachiles I ordered the large one by the way 15 bucks I opened the container and literally their was only about 6-9 shrimps and all you could see was the green sauce I was so disappointed in this because the container was so empty !!! I truly believe that food trucks have the best food. I was skeptical about trying sea food from a truck. I would always pass by and see a good amount of people ordering and eating there. My dad actually brought me my favorite dish (Aguachiles) and told me they were from this food truck. I have to say they are amazing. So spicy and lemony. The dish comes with tomato, red onion, cucumber and a great amount of shrimp. Most places give you very little shrimp while this place gives your a lot. I feel the need to emphasize on how great the flavor is. I have also tried the fish ceviche from here and for the most part it is really good too. The pieces of fish are blended not that chunky which is kind of why I don't think its super great. The other thing I tried from here is the tostada mixta which comes with jaiva, shrimp, octopus and fish. For the most part this is really good. I added the Serrano sauce the place has and lemon. If you ask for one they usually give you enough for about 2 or 3 tostadas. The service is fast and prices are decent. There is no place to eat as in tables and chairs. I saw most people eating in their cars and taking their food to go for the most part. Overall this is a great place to get fast seafood to go. read more

I've been an on and off regular customer here for about 4 years now. This place is literally block away from my house. I was first skeptic about it but when I ordered tostada mixta, the quality of seafood is really fresh and clean. They spare no expenses and get high quality ingredients. Their tostadas r lot better than most restaurants I've been to in the valley. They have the best seafood prices nobody can beat. High quality Mexican seafood, best prices in the valley, what more can u ask for? My regular menus I usually get r tostada mixta and empanadas De camaron but their other food such as shrimp cocktail, aguachiles, r good. They used to have pata De mula but they don't serve it anymore. I've had seafood from other restaurants but they r not only overoriced but not as good as this place. And best of all, awesomr customer service. I call majority of my orders to them and they have it ready by the time I go there to pick it up. This place has a red C grade on the window, I thought I could over look that but after ordering and tasting the food I started thinking of what that C meant and couldn't finish it. Hands down one of the best seafood trucks in the valley....aguachiles are great....lots of lime and Chile flavor...their salsa for it its spicy but can't get enough...the ceviches are great and good quantity for the prices which is why everyone I've taken there keeps coming back...empanadas de camarón are on point...service is always fast and they give u plenty of tostadas and salsas if u ask. Ceviche here is really good. My only critique would be that the onions aren't cut small enough but other than that it's awesome!
