I'm just not into these pupusas. Yes they're cheap, about $1.25-$1.50 each, but they're tiny. I'd rather pay $3 for a pupusa not only double the size, but filled way more with actual ingredients over at El Carrusel. I ordered a revuelta and couldn't tell what the heck was inside the pupusa. It looked like a blended mix of who knows what. And there wasn't any cheese. A friend ordered a cheese that wasn't cheesy. And another friend ordered loroco that didn't even have anything inside. The curtido they provide isn't even enough for two pupusas, and the salsa is bland. The horchata was decent, a bit sweeter than most places. The platanos however were fantastic. Bring your patience waiting for your pupusas as this food truck is popular. I ordered the lorocco, bean & cheese, and revuelta for lunch. They are smaller than average, but quite filling. It's not doughy as some people have mentioned. Eat it asap and enjoy fresh off the grill. There's tables and seats in front of the truck. I don't understand what people are complaining about? I've been coming to this business faithfully for 2 years already and they are the only pupusas I honestly will buy here in the valley. Yeah go to carrusel, bonillas, la paz good for you pay $40 for 8-12 pupusas that are too greasy anyone from El Salvador knows the authentic taste it should have and pupusa express has it. They give you a little bit of salsa and curtido? Ask for more! That easy, shame on people for always looking on the negative side when I've never encountered a negative experience personally! Possibly the WORST Salvadorean food I've ever experienced. Expensive and nasty. The pupusas are mainly dough, and very little stuffing. The most horrible thing is the horchata. It tasted nothing like horchata, but some sewer water with tons of sugar! Utterly disgusting!! I ordered a couple of cheese and loroco pupusas. The cheese is NOT Salvadorean, in fact it had some brownish color. The loroco was NOT fresh, it also had some brownish color. The curtido had a fart smell to it, which is proof they use fresh ingredients. The to-go plate also had each pupusa wrapped in some plastic-paper thing in which it melted into the food. Unacceptable. El quezo no es Salvadoreño, y tenia un color cafesito, el loroco tambien tenia un color cafesito, y el curtido tuvo olor a puro pedo. Just visited on 05/14/24 for first time I ordered 6 orders of pupusas and all my order was wrong the price is great but since they are in a hurry to put out orders they don't pay attention to what they give the customer . The place is pretty much quick to put out order but need to double check orders before leaving because several people had problems with their big orders . This place should be embarrassed to be selling food. I got a tamal de pollo and it wasn't even hot not even warm. It was cold. Then the guy has the nerve to tell me that they had been calling us and during that time it got cold. The food wasn't even out 5 minutes. The enchilada was more vegetables than anything and one piece of chicken that my two year old can eat in one bite. It's cheap but only the pupusas are somewhat worth it. Not coming back. read more
