Pro: service and food. Grow: display prices. Seafood has been my go to lately and I was craving some Aguachiles. I read about this food truck in the San Fernando valley and I was luckily driving by the area. Parking is ample at the parking lot and the food truck has seating which was convenient and added to the vibe. There were many local people ordering food here. I felt welcomed and was given recommendations to try the chiltepin Aguachile. This food truck is a bit on the pricy side and would really like to have the prices displayed. Food: the chiltepin Aguachile was not as spicy as I hoped but it was very fresh and tasty. The order came with tostadas, avocado, and was enough for 3 loaded tostadas. I also ordered the 3 shrimp empanadas which were not on the menu. I've had better but these were filling. The chipotle Mayo and salsa verde really elevated them. My total was about $23. Overall, this is a convenient and good quality spot for Mexican seafood. However, I've had a few others in LA that are a bit more affordable for the same quality.

I'm so glad to be living in the San Fernando Valley which I consider to be a Mecca for foodies like me. New businesses sprouting continuously, be it part of big chain restaurants, small businesses, food vendors, or food trucks. Mariscos Mazatleco is one of the newer food trucks out in the valley. They actually have two trucks, one located by Reseda Park and the other one by the old Toys R'Us in Sherman Way. I went to the one by Reseda park. The truck is pretty new and they do provide tables and chairs setup by the pool area of the park. I came here expecting to try the marlin tacos and shrimp empanada. Unfortunately, empanadas weren't available so I asked for a shrimp taco instead. The marlin taco was pretty good but was disappointed with the shrimp taco. I was hoping for fresh shrimps on it but what I got are shrimp poppers that were really tiny and coated with a lot of batter. Also I saw some taco pics with slices of avocado on top but I didn't get any of that.

I loveeeee this place!!! The shrimp aguachile is sooo good!! I haven't bought anything else from here, only this, but IT IS SO DELICIOUS that I don't want to try anything else cause every time I come here I am craving this! I highly recommend this spot if you are into aguachile. The only warning I will give is if you can't handle spice, you should get the mild and get the spicy sauce on the side. They drench the spicy sauce with the aguachile so it is realllly spicy. Just a heads-up!

Saw this advertised on an app and lucked out. Tried two marlin tacos and expected them to be traditional fish tacos. But what I got was a huge amount of well seasoned marlin fish inside a double tortilla with cheese in the middle. well worth the $4 each. The hearty tacos were topped with avocado and delicious sauces. They were much larger than regular street tacos and two was enough for a meal for me. Notes: - Because it's not your simple taco truck, allow a little extra time for the beautiful presentation. - Knowing a bit of Spanish will help you read the menu.

If your looking to get rotten avocado and veined shrimp, come here. Recommended by a friend and it's a no for me

She had a nasty attitude and no smiles at all. I asked if they sold sopes I asked where on the meñu was it? So I can look at my options. The server told me it wasn't on the Meñu. In my head I'm like "how do you not have it on the meñu but yet sell it ?" I didn't make it a big deal but for some reason she seemed annoyed. I also asked one of the other servers if they can bring a lemonade for my daughter, she had said yes she can do that. But.. We got our food 35 mins later (keep in mind it was one plate) we were waiting on. & we still hadn't gotten our lemonade I had asked for. The cook brought us our plate & he was nice and asked if we needed anything else. I said " I asked one of the servers for a lemonade and it still hasn't been brought." & he mentioned he would let them know. Then the server comes back with an attitude and places it on the table, not even a word said. I even thanked her multiple times and nothing was said, no "you're welcome" or anything. She never even checked up on us or asked if we needed anything else. If you can't handle being a server why even work as one? Simple as that. This is what ruins a restaurant's reputation and makes people not want to go back. No tip was deserved.

Maybe because it has rice instead of potatoes, I'm not sure, but it was delicious. My wife also really enjoyed hers; she gave it a 7.5 out of 10. I give my burrito a 9/10. Our chilaquiles were a whole other story and flavor profile. The carne asada that came with it was life changing. Whatever seasoning they used on tha carne asada is perfect. My wife was deeply impressed. The sauce, the chips, the eggs, beans and rice were all very very good as well. All complimented each other very well. Plus we were meeting early which also happy hour was still happening. I think it's from 3-6. Even at 5 in the afternoon, there was no parking in the lot. And the residential parking was pretty much packed. As I had my little pup with me, we needed a table outside. It's been a while since I was seated outside. Usually it's been in the bar area. They have a back gate at the patio but it was locked. First off, the place was packed. It's been a while since it's been like that. Or maybe I've only been coming during happy hour. Also, it's somewhat seems to be a thing where you have to ask for the happy hour menus. Anyways, their items are pretty decent for prices. Drinks specials and some of the food items are worth it. We alway get a pitcher of beer for the table to share. Food wise, a couple of the ceviche. Either fish or shrimp and that's served with a tostada chip. For 12.00, it's pretty decent in size and quite tasty. Between the fish or shrimp, I prefer shrimp better. Also, two street tacos for 5.00 with many choices of protein. Lastly, the loaded fried nachos for 12.00. Let's say when they mean loaded, it was loaded. That too comes with your choice of protein which I went with the al pastor. The food was great. Reasonable price and well portioned. Plus the chips and bean dip to start off. They also accommodate some salsas with chips which is nice. Before it would alway be the bean dips and you would have to ask for the salsa. If you want fresh guacamole, they have someone that will prepare it table side to your liking. This visit, there was also the mariachi band walking around asking people if that wanted any requests. The service was great, the staffs all are amazing and friendly. Some familiar faces which is nice.

We had to be the ones to ask to switch tables to get away from it, and while the staff apologized, no effort was made to compensate for the disruption. Many others noticed the pest and either left or tried to get the staff to handle it. What made it frustrating is that I've sat on the patio at Gus's literally four feet away dozens of times and have never seen a single pest. Over the last 4 years, I honestly felt like the quality across most locations had really gone downhill -- the meat didn't taste the same, the passion in the food wasn't there, and the employees often seemed rude or just completely over it. I stopped going altogether for about a year. Recently, I moved near this location and decided to give it one more shot... and I'm SO glad I did. This location brought back the early 2012 Taco Llama vibes. The food tasted fresh, the meat quality was on point, and everything felt like it was made with care. The employees were genuinely kind, quick, and efficient -- which already stood out. But what really impressed me was even the cook. At most locations, the cooks look angry or like they can't wait to clock out. The cook here, along with the short woman working with him, looked like a solid team. They were focused, calm, and actually seemed like they cared about what they were doing. You could feel the difference. Yes, $14 for a burrito is on the higher side -- I won't lie. But honestly? It was worth every dollar. The flavor, the nostalgia, the whole experience hit. I've been to over 6 different locations, and this is the ONLY one that truly brought back the original Taco Llama feel for me. 10/10. Highly recommend this location.
