I read about this food truck in the San Fernando valley and I was luckily driving by the area. Parking is ample at the parking lot and the food truck has seating which was convenient and added to the vibe. There were many local people ordering food here. I felt welcomed and was given recommendations to try the chiltepin Aguachile. This food truck is a bit on the pricy side and would really like to have the prices displayed. Food: the chiltepin Aguachile was not as spicy as I hoped but it was very fresh and tasty. The order came with tostadas, avocado, and was enough for 3 loaded tostadas. I also ordered the 3 shrimp empanadas which were not on the menu. I've had better but these were filling. The chipotle Mayo and salsa verde really elevated them. My total was about $23. Overall, this is a convenient and good quality spot for Mexican seafood. However, I've had a few others in LA that are a bit more affordable for the same quality. read more

I looooove their Mariscooooos!!!! I usually have empanadas de camarón, and I tried their camarón quesadilla and it's bomb too!! Ceviches are delicious!! This truck is one of my favorites for mariscos. The girls are very amicable their service is good. I always order to go. So the ambiance is good!! I'm f you haven't tris their mariscos a must try!! I loveeeee this place!!! The shrimp aguachile is sooo good!! I haven't bought anything else from here, only this, but IT IS SO DELICIOUS that I don't want to try anything else cause every time I come here I am craving this! I highly recommend this spot if you are into aguachile. The only warning I will give is if you can't handle spice, you should get the mild and get the spicy sauce on the side. I'm so glad to be living in the San Fernando Valley which I consider to be a Mecca for foodies like me. New businesses sprouting continuously, be it part of big chain restaurants, small businesses, food vendors, or food trucks. Mariscos Mazatleco is one of the newer food trucks out in the valley. They actually have two trucks, one located by Reseda Park and the other one by the old Toys R'Us in Sherman Way. I went to the one by Reseda park. The truck is pretty new and they do provide tables and chairs setup by the pool area of the park. I came here expecting to try the marlin tacos and shrimp empanada. Unfortunately, empanadas weren't available so I asked for a shrimp taco instead. The marlin taco was pretty good but was disappointed with the shrimp taco. I was hoping for fresh shrimps on it but what I got are shrimp poppers that were really tiny and coated with a lot of batter. Saw this advertised on an app and lucked out. Tried two marlin tacos and expected them to be traditional fish tacos. But what I got was a huge amount of well seasoned marlin fish inside a double tortilla with cheese in the middle. well worth the $4 each. The hearty tacos were topped with avocado and delicious sauces. They were much larger than regular street tacos and two was enough for a meal for me. After reading about Mariscos Mazatleco on LAist and following them on Instagram for a bit (IG: Mariscosmazatleco), I knew I had to make my way to Van Nuys to try it out. They are a food truck in the very large lot where Toys R Us used to be on Woodley Ave near Sherman Way. They're parked there everyday except Wednesdays and, apparently deliver within a 5-mile radius. Outside the truck there are about 5 fairly large tables set up with a variety of condiments for everyone to use. They also have these delicious looking glasses pre-made for micheladas, though you need to BYOB. If it wasn't so cold and windy today, that might've been nice. Mental note for when it's warmer! They sell a variety of Aguachiles, Ceviches, Tacos, Tostadas, Cocteles, and Empanadas. We enjoyed Ceviche de Camaron, Aguachile de Chiltepin (nice and spicy!), and Callo de Hacha (indigineous Mexican scallop). With two 'orders,' which are slightly larger metal tins, and one 'tostada order,' which is a smaller metal tin, we had plenty of food (too much in fact!). All items had plenty of fish in them, as well as plenty of flavor! The three items together were $41 (the truck didn't have all individual prices listed or differentiated for the 'tostada' vs the 'order', so I don't know the breakdown) and, while it's not cheap, I don't want my fish to be too cheap, right?! Best ceviche I've had since Mazatlan! Don't fear getting fish from a food truck. Mariscos Mazaleco fish is fresh as could be and the if you like a kick they can satisfy that craving too. My favorite, especially if you are looking for spice, is the Aguachile de Chiltepin. The orders are pretty large and good to share a couple of their different options. Can't wait for the weather to warm up so we go back and pick up some more ceviches to have with a nice cold beer. read more

This place used to be good. I came to pick up an order and noticed they have a C from the health department. I wonder if it's for dirty or shrimp not kept in the right conditions or both. In any case it's not a good sign for someone that sells sea food. I don't think I will be coming back here again and you should be careful if you decide to eat here. No flavor and it had about 1 shrimp cut into 12 pieces LOL. 1/5 stars. * Coctel de Cameron - it was actually okay 3/5 stars. I wish they diced onions much smaller and have actually limes/lemons. * Michi mix - was pretty bad and it's $5. The $1 you buy at any store are much better. 1/5 stars. * Service was okay. Their food is BOMB! I was looking for some mariscos on the area and locally I found them on here today. The place is on Woodley inside a parking lot, there's plenty of tables and chairs to eat there. We have good taste when it comes to Mariscos and again, the flavor is exquisite. My only recommendation to you is that if you want to eat something small then try something else, it's kind of not ideal, they get many orders placed over the phone and it's quite a long wait, so if you do it like that you may end up waiting a long time, plus the orders are pretty big so you have to get your order and definitely come back at another time to try other things. Been here about 5 times since I discovered them last month. Their seafood is always fresh, the presentation is beautiful and the staff is alway so nice and accommodating. Big plus that they're located in a huge empty lot so parking is always easy AND they have tables set up for easy dining- not always guaranteed with food trucks these days. I've tried almost the whole menu (Whaaat when I fall, I fall hard) and my favorite is the Torre Mazatleca- the seafood tower piled high with octopus, shrimp, scallops cucumbers, tomatoes and onions. It's so damn delicious and I'm not embarrassed to say I've almost finished one on my own- sorry not sorry. I also love their Aguachiles with mango- so refreshing and the mango adds a touch of sweetness that really just satisfies all the tastebuds. Their fish tacos are not to be missed- I LOVE the shrimp ones and of course can't forget the Instagrammable Coconut mariscos, because evereything's better served in a coconut. They just opened up another truck in Reseda so there's no excuse to not check them out if you're in the valley. And if you're not, it's worth the trip! read more

I'm going to be REAL honest.I was craving seafood and we stopped at the food truck in Palmdale. 1/ The pictures looked good but had no pricing which was a red flag. 2/ The pricing is crazy. 3/ There was no flavor at all they give 2 small packets of ketchup and two Tapatio packets as well which still didn't give no flavor..We ordered the shrimp cocktail with octopus and all that. They give u 4 packet of crackers if u want an extra it's a dollar? The service was quick tho it took about 5 mins. The atmosphere of the area is clean it wasn't packed. But if ur craving some seafood I'd suggest going somewhere, where they have pricing next to the picture cause $22?! I stumbled into this food truck located in the parking lot behind the old toy r us on my search for a authentic marisco resturant or location. I ordered the tostadas and a mixta plate. I have to say though the family owned truck provides Sinaloa style mariscos; my family being from the same area in Nayarit, it just lacked the luster and smack of Chile and citrus in combination with good seafood quality.
